I had to actually look up what Zynga was because I've never heard of it. So -these- are the guys responsible for all those Facebook and MySpace browser games? And they're -winning a poll-? Probably because even non-gamers have Facebook, and a lot of them play those MafiaWars games and stuff. I always thought that stuff was lame.

From a business perspective, they did what Nintendo has done: they appealed to casual gamers and people who don't normally play games. I respect them for that, but at the same time, they have done some backdoor shady things to get such hype, which they admitted in a game developer interview.

Browser games are browser games, basically. They're not able to be as big and well made as a console game franchise, but they're just that easily accessible.
