((I'm going to assume Claudette sprang to Baldur's side, not Urt's, as Urt is still down at the moment.))
The snake was fast. Svana used the flat of the ax as a way to deflect it. Wielding the ax was slow and ungainly, but she managed to get it up in time for the snake's face to smash against it, giving her the opportunity to put distance between herself and it, wishing Urt carried a smaller godsbedamned weapon. Her uncanny speed was all but neutralized hefting it around, but she was unwilling to relinquish her only weapon.
Baldur meanwhile slashed at the end of the snake. His sword cleaved through it, but didn't do much damage. It didn't even seem to aggravate it to get it off Svana.
"We can't fight magic!" he bellowed to Svana.
"I'm avoiding it, not fighting it," she corrected waspishly.
The snake struck again. She was wielding a heavy weapon. She was exhausted from the former battle. She was barely holding it together emotionally after finding Amund's body. This time when she moved, it wasn't fast enough. The snake fastened its fangs into her arm, pumping venom in.

"I've got something that might work, but this could kill me," Claudette said, panicked as she tied the wristband around her slave marks. "Totally... Totally willing. Kira has to be stopped."
The wristband was flashing Kira's name on the screen, and Claudette pushed the band to absorb the snake, which vanished almost immediately. She braced herself for the magic to hit her.
"Claudette!!!" Blair shouted. He was feeling woozy, although he'd been pushing that away. He wanted nothing more than for Claudette to be asleep on him again.
"Svana!" Claudette said, throwing the last bit of medicine to her. "Drink it!"
Kira's hand was in the air, and a pink-magenta light struck Claudette straight through the heart. The wristband was beeping loudly as it was absorbing the magic away from her.
Claudette struck Kira with lightening before she hit the ground from exhaustion. Kira shrieked and fell unconscious. Blair moved towards Claudette, and he lifted her up, the band falling off of her limp wrist.

It doesn't take long for Jelryn's magical sight to detect the venom pumping into Svana. Narrowing his eyes, he shakes his head. Claudette, despite being newly healed, is up and about as though she hadn't just had her bones smashed up. Warily he watches Kira as he draws closer to Svana, intent on helping her, but knowing the unstable woman could try to tun on him at any moment. He makes a gesture towards Anrhea, who rapidly goes up the stairs and out of sight.
However, everyone acts so quickly that these things become moot. Turning towards Kira, he scans her carefully. Now that she's down, he's moving in her directly rapidly.

Svana collapsed immediately, no amount of venom-resistance she had in her body could have prepared her for what this snake had to offer. Her body immediately started convulsing, foam frothing to her lips, eyes rolling back. With the vanishing of the snake, Baldur dove for the elf queen as Claudette tossed some kind of medicine at her. He didn't question it. Taking the vial, he dragged Svana into his lap, struggling to both pin her and pry her jaw open to dump the contents inside.
"Swallow it!" he commanded harshly, as if his force of will could make her do it.
Urt was sitting up, rubbing his throat, looking around in confusion. He crawled toward the other two where Baldur smoothed her hair out of her bloody face, searching urgently for signs that the medicine worked. Her body slowly ceased convulsing. Her eyelids continued to flicker, but at least she breathed.
"Is she okay?" Urt asked anxiously.

"Claudette's medicine can heal up anything," Blair said to Baldur. "Svana should be fine, although it might take a few moments."
He was more concerned about Claudette. She was awake and breathing, though that wristband had broken her slave mark. Blair cradled her, sinking to the floor. She should be dead. How did she not die? He was gently kissing her, and she did not take her paling eyes off of him.
"I'm so sorry, Claudette," he said with a moan as he kissed her. "I'm just glad you're alive."
He sat on the floor with her as he held her close, listening to her heart beat, thankful she was alive.

Svana started coming around, rolling to her side and spitting and coughing. Baldur brushed glass out of her face with a small wince, but she caught his hand and would have turned it back on itself, but she was weak.
"Easy," he cautioned.
"Don't touch me," she growled, struggling to roll to her stomach.
"Svana?" Urt whined.
She motioned him off. "I can do it myself." She got her hands underneath her, but found herself incapable of pushing herself up. Neither man attempted to help her. She would never allow it. "Where's that b***h?"
"You can't take her on without magic."
"No, but she's got my tomahawk in her face and I want it back," she snapped.

((Hey, gang, due to a request, I'm opening up a full RP subforum (for those who perhaps want to also move out of the CC), but I am hoping it won't impact the popularity of the CC! I'll also move this thread to the RP subforum in a couple of days, once everybody has seen this. whee And if it doesn't work out, no biggie and I'll just move it back!))

Lily, did you mean Jelyrn was asking Svana? Kira can heal herself, and she kind of is Kira Ascending/Ascension Kira/b***h Kira/Kirtacular/Demon Kira/Rampage Kira/Completely ******** crazy Kira. Also, Claudette isn't knocked out. She's just sitting with Blair because she's really tired))

((She just means that instead of being in the 'distracting' subforum it will be in the RP subforum, so when you go into the guild forum screen, look up in the top section and it will be the bottom subforum, listed as "The Role Play Forum (More distraction!)" smile Yes, he's asking Svana, and I will amend my earlier post. It was late and I guess my fingers just wanted to keep typing the name Kira for some reason. biggrin ))

Jelryn flicks a glance over to Claudette and suppresses a sigh. What was the point in healing someone if they're just going to immediately put themselves right back in the face of danger and wear themselves down to near uselessness. Right now most of his attentions are in scanning Kira and seeing if she is likely to get back up any time soon or not. Either way, unless she's dying, he leaves her severely alone other than to gather information.
Turning to Svana, he extends his staff towards her. "Do you plan on refusing all help?" he inquires shortly, yet not snidely. If she allowed the contact, he will attempt to heal her.

Kira rose to her feet, towering over Blair and Claudette. She grabbed Blair's wrists, and Claudette pushed her off. Forcing Claudette to the ground, she put her hands back around Blair's wrists, and purple ribbons were encircling his wrists, tying and marking. Then she did the same to his neck, thighs, and ankles. Blair cried out in pain, and Claudette struggled to get up.
Now that Blair had the markings of a slave, she pushed her way to the downed Orc, her hands gently tracing the bones several times over as purple ribbons were circling around.
"Do not interrupt," she said coldly.
Blair had not been locked down to the ground, so he jumped up. To Anrhea, he said, "Please. You have to run."
His fresh marks caking in blood, but he said nothing about it.
"If Kira orders Claudette and I, we have to obey. Please," he begged her.
