By all means re-do it ^.^ I'm sorry that it go lost and all in the first place. Once you make a profile its not set in stone, I mean, you can always revise it anyway ^.^

Quick Question:

I've created a jutsu in the jutsu application thread. I've added it to my character's jutsu list. Can I use the jutsu now? Or do I have to RP learning it? The jutsu rule thread in the general information forum says that you guys will eventually put in a system for learning jutsus: but that post was made on "Sun Nov 20, 2005 6:55 am".

So. How do I learn a jutsu?

currently, that system is incomplete...well, hmm...good question...you could just do like what happens in the anime, with people like Ino learning new techs without her training being shown...or, when it's time for you to unleash a tech, you can post something like a flashback of what you did to learn that jutsu...

just suggestions...

Well, if that was just a suggestion, I hope nobody minds if I add my two cents.

I've always liked a process. You don't have to go through a detailed description of every step you took toward learning the technique as if you were learning to play piano in real life, but show stages of the move during combat. Sometimes it works, sometimes it fails, sometimes you don't get the result you were expecting. Along the way, you might actually find ways to improve the jutsu without specifically altering the description.

That's my opinion anyway. The jutsus you have now aren't always going to be low level, right? Eventually you'll improve them, but they'll still be the same move. Same idea goes for learning a new jutsu.

Am I able to post in more than three threads?

It really depends which thread, you can't interrupt another Genin team thread...but you can RP in other villages...as well as threads such as the Inn...

I cannot interfere with team centered threads, unless invited. Everything is fair game, like villages+inn?

as long as you're making sense in what you post, then yes, fair game...

1).
Quote:
Academy/Genin Characters can have up to 10 Jutsu, not including Customs or Village/Clan/Class. No character is allowed more than 5 Taijutsu Styles at a time ever...

Can I have 30+ custom jutsus?

2).
Quote:
There will be a limit on Custom Jutsu depending on Ninja Rank.

The restriction on custom techniques are not stated... Can you give me a rough/exact outline of how many custom jutsus I am allowed to have?

3). Also, when another uses another's custom jutsu, does the technique remain a custom jutsu? Since it is in circulation within the guild will the jutsu still be considered a special technique?

4). Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Weapon Master, and Genjutsu. There is also a medical specialty. A Question: is there an 'all round' type that doesn't excell in one area and isn't ineffecient in any other types of stuff?

umm...I'll handle #3:

If the jutsu is a custom jutsu unique to one character, then in order for another character to use that jutsu, then that character would have to be taught the jutsu. If techniques are transferred between teacher and pupil(like Kakashi and Sasuke), then the technique will still be considered a custom technique that is unique to two people...

Humbra - as far as learning jutsus it has to be logical. You don't always have to show every step of it but you can't just get the technique over night. It was originally our attempt to keep people from making uber characters. As for 30+ customs, in order to eventually get that many and actually use them all you character would be a higher level than a genin. So eventually yes your character might be able to develop that many but customs are also kinda subject to mod aproval and all.

Some of us are rather busy and have trouble checking some of these threads all the time. So feel free to also send it to us in a PM. If you send it to more than one mod, let us know, so we don't give you conflicting info.

There was going to be a limit, that was either Komm's or Laijin's thing. I admit that I am not so great at this type of thing and am known to be a bit lenient. For now it will have to be what could be considered a reasonable amount. IE academy students may or may not known a custom or not. Genin have the ability to learn customs because they can seek more teaching now. Chunin could possibly know 4 of 5 of them, depending on teaching, perhaps even 7 or 8. Jounins would have the ability to know far than that, since their training is more extensive.

Did that confuse anyone?

No one answered #4. sweatdrop

Alright. So I can have a lot of custom jutsus if I spend the time actually rping the creation of those techniques. Awesome.

.. Now I just need to plot the demise of the shinobi universe..

Actually, I can answer #4.

Everyone has a specialty. You can place anyone in the series into a type. Even a jack of all trades would find some things easier than others. I think that a person that can do everything equally well would either be extremely weak or extreme ungodly, depending on how you play the character. Plus it would be very difficult to develop the jutsus of a person like that, because there's no specific direction you're going in, you're just all over the place. But I think you can use your type to strengthen a quality related to other types, like a ninjutsu type that is a master at manipulating chakra could use powerful taijutsus because he/she is able to focus chakra to make a physical attack more effective.
