Its already been published in Shounen Jump so prices are reduced. its just the way Viz does it. Shaman King, Bleach, and some other ones are $7 also.

Statistically, the manga should advance in story faster than the Shonen Jump version. Do they hold the manga production for a while, so that Shonen Jump can stay ahead?

All those who have gotten to read the manga.....kodos to you cause my parents won't even let me stay in the book store for no more than 10 mins.......oh the pain..... and they only let me get books for school... stressed crying crying crying But once I go to Hong Kong this summer, I'm so buying everything I can get my hands on........eveythings so cheap there 4laugh whee 4laugh whee

The manga advances the story much faster but it also lags the story due to the wait time to compile one. Shounen Jump on the other hand is monthly and gives a fluidity to the progression of the story. In a way, the Shounen Jump is better. The farther the Shounen Jump Magazine, the more the mangas come out. I'd rather have a fluid story than a giant wait time. Yet I'm not a huge fan of this series so either way I'm okay.

SCN- Yuppers! Kakashi is the one with the spikey gray hair and yes he's Naruto's Sensai/senpai (did I spell those correctly??)

Senpai doesn't apply to Kakashi's character though. "Senpai/Sempai"'s usage is for the most part only applicable to Upperclassmen. Like since I'm a Senior in high school, the juniors and lower would call me Senpai/Sempai (I've seen both really. Sempai in Love Hina. Senpai in Tenjho Tenge). And Kakashi is cool. Except I still think he looks a bit wierd without the face covering.
