Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ He thought for a moment, then scoffed. "Maybe you're not an Alpha? I don't know, I can't exactly call myself an expert of our kind because I've rutted before." He shrugged, then laughed, and looked down at Ryder. "Maybe you just haven't been attracted to anyone enough. I've heard of some Alphas who never feel the urge to mate with anyone and spend their rut by themselves." He adjusted his arms underneath his head and closed his eyes. He opened them slightly as he felt Ryder sit up and heard his question, sighing deeply before fully opening his eyes and looking back to the younger dragon. "Were you never taught about never bothering a sleeping dragon?" He muttered, then moved to lay on his side and propped himself up with his elbow.
"The captain knows how I feel. He loves me in his own way. However, his heart is open to many and not just me. That is how he is able to make love to Mahanon, me, his little prince, and whatever beautiful body that he stumbles across." He looked down at his hands, toying with the thin bracelet on his right hand. "I will never be enough for him. What's more, I could never ask him to be mine alone. I take what I can get, for now, and participate in his lifestyle as best as I can manage. Mahanon is generous in bed, as are many of Declan's lovers, and those that appeal to me are happy to share my bed. At the very least I know that he dominates every other lover but only submits to me." He smiled softly, then looked up at Ryder and raised one eyebrow. "You should sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a big day." Lavi laid back down, arms behind his head once more and the moon shining through the little window to illuminate his form.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Ryder was quiet as he listened to Lavi talk about how he possibly wasn't an alpha, though he wasn't sure he wanted to believe that... e had been raised an alpha. why would his family raise him to be one just for him to be an omega? He drew in a breath and looked down, curious now about himself. He thought about how weak he was compared to other Alphas. Maybe it wasn't so much a coincidence rather truth that maybe he wasn't an alpha. He drew in another breath and looked up slightly, listening as the older dragon explained his feelings and how Declan treated him. "I don't think it's fair" Ryder whispered before Lavi suggested they slept. He nodded and settled into the bed. He rolled to his side and looked up at the window just above the bed. The moon was bright and he laid in silence, though it was a gentle silence and not awkward. He closed his eyes and drifted into slumber.
As he slept, Ryder dreamed. He was back in his childhood; locked outside his house after one of his father's punishments. It was a particularly dry night, the sand around his tribe stirred up in a storm. He hid underneath a deck, protected from the sand as it raged around him. He curled up where he was and began to cry, sitting there awhile before a sudden noise made him jump. He stood quickly, hearing his own voice call out who was there. No answer came before he was suddenly yanked by the back of his shirt. He looked up to see the Alpha... the one he'd grown fond of. Ryder shook where he hung, looking up at the man as he looked Ryder over. He growled, his red eyed visible in the night. Ryder felt his grip relax and the red hue turn gold. The Alpha was gentle in setting him down, another figure forming in the shadows. The Alpha who'd been responsible for his exile came forth, his own red eyes locked on Ryder. He hid behind the other dragon who stood his ground. Their mouths moved but Ryder couldn't hear it, a ringing in his ears keeping him from doing so. A low vibration caught his attention, his gaze going to the ground before he jumped as the elder of the two dragons lurched forward, coughing up blood. The younger of the two eyed Ryder. He finally heard the plea, for him to run before the younger dragon finished the job with the older one. Ryder took off, running until he tripped, the world going dark around him as he opened his eyes. He was shaking, a cold sweat on him as he shivered, the cool air making him cold.
He didn't move but sat up, running a hand over his face before through his hair. He didn't like falling that deep into sleep... he saw things. Things he wasn't sure were memories or just nightmares in general. Taking a few breaths, he curled up and looked out the window, calming himself down but deciding against anymore sleep.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ As Ryder suffered through his nightmare, Lavi did not dream as he napped. He rarely did. He did, however, sleep lightly as usual and felt it when Ryder sat up. He opened his eyes and looked up at the dragon as he firmly chose not to sleep anymore and rolled his eyes. Such drama from a nightmare. Although, maybe it was because Lavi didn't dream that he didn't feel as sympathetic? Either way, it wasn't the time to deal with psychology. He had to get the kid to sleep before he moved on to get Declan to sleep, and he knew Declan would wait up until he joined him. Moving to sit up and leaning his back against the wall, he reached out. "Little Mouse," he drawled, wrapping an arm around the smaller dragon's waist and tugging at him. "Come here." His deep voice, laced with a need to rest, left little to be discussed.
He helped Ryder move closer to him and pressed him to his massive chest. He kept his arm around Ryder's waist and took one of his hands. Raising it to his own chest, Lavi placed Ryder's hand over his heart and held it there. He wasn't going to ask any questions and make Ryder dwell on what had scared him. "Feel my heartbeat align with yours. Breathe deeply. You are not alone. I am here." He leaned his head back to the wall, closing his eyes and using his free hand to gently stroke the younger dragon's side. "Sleep. Nothing can harm you." ╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Ryder looked at Lavi as he moved, watching the older dragon as he adjusted how he sat and slept. Ryder was still tired, he just didn't want to sleep... He didn't want to have the nightmare again. Lavi however wasn't having that as he pulled Ryder in, keeping an arm around him as he pulled him closer. Ryder was quiet as he looked at their hands. Lavi held his so gently. Looking up at LAvi, Ryder finally gave in, leaning against him as he dragon spoke. Ryder had to remember that. He wasn't alone... at least not then. He had someone there whether they were intimate or just near each other. Someone who could keep the evil away, and let him rest. He listened to Lavi's breathing, the slow drawn out breaths helping him to relax. It took him a moment to notice his touch, the man's hand on his side, gently running up and down until Ryder was barely able to keep his eyes open. When Lavi spoke again, Ryder could barely hear him, sleep so close to him. Finally giving in, Ryder's breath softened and he relaxed. He moved slightly, snuggling into Lavi, the peace he found near the older dragon soothing. This time, as his eyes remained shut, all he saw in his sleep... was darkness. No dreams, no nightmares. No memories.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ He continued well after Ryder had fallen asleep, his chin on the top of the young Alpha's head and eyes looking out the window. He watched the waves as they rocked along in the moonlight, tilting his head a little. He felt that familiar tightness in his chest, the one that he had felt when he first laid eyes on Declan. He knew he was developing feelings for the lad that lay in his arms and he knew that this was either going to end very well or very horribly. He wasn't sure which direction it was going to go, and he was almost afraid of even trying to figure that out. He looked down at Ryder, sighing quietly, then reached for a blanket and wrapped it around the lad. He then carefully removed himself from Ryder and laid him down gently. He crouched down and carefully adjusted the blanket. His fingers grazed Ryder's cheek just briefly, but he didn't let himself linger and quickly stood. He'd be back later, once Declan slept. Probably.
Lavi grabbed his shirt and slipped it over his shoulders, not bothering to close it. He yanked on his boots and glanced back at Ryder one last time before decisively walking out and shutting the door behind himself. He walked down to Declan's cabin, knocking three times before opening the door and stepping inside. "You'd better be getting ready to sleep," he drawled.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Having made himself busy awhile; Declan managed to fix a few things that seemed out of place, help navigate around a small reef, and use his magic to fix a few loose pieces of wood around the ship before finally managing to go to his room. He had no sooner walked in and kicked off his boots when he heard a familiar knock. He looked back at the door as it opened, looking down as he worked on his buttons. A smile crossed his face as he heard Lavi say he'd better be ready for sleep. "You sound grumpy" Declan told him, finally undoing the last button before sitting on the bed. He sighed, stretching before he yawned and looked up at Lavi. "I trust your Little Mouse is as asleep as Mahanon?" he asked, untying the string of his shirt before pulling it over his head. He put the shirt and his coat on a chair near his bed before laying back. He looked at the hook he had for a hand and sighed, cursing the object and the woman who'd given him cause to have it.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ Lavi stepped out of his boots and placed them by the bed, unable to stop himself from smiling a little at Declan's comment. He wasn't grumpy, he was just tired. And maybe a little horny, but that could be dealt with later on. He left his shirt on, figuring he could just slide it off if need be. Secretly, he also knew that it just looked so very good on him, offering just the most delightful peeks of his impressive physique. He moved towards the bed and picked up the shirt that had been discarded, folding it and placing it back on the chair. "Asleep, yes, but not for the same reasons. I feel I am unable to prey upon a young dragon who has not had his rut yet." He then stood in front of Declan, legs on either side of Declan's. "Come here."
He waited until Declan sat back up, then moved onto his knees and began to remove the captain's hook. Mahanon may have had magic and the bigger cabin and more attention from the object of their shared affection, but he had this. He was allowed to do this. He carefully extracted the hook and placed it onto Declan's nightstand, then set to work unlacing the wrist cuff. "You are thinking about her again. It will not change the past, Declan." He reminded in his trademark stoic tone, although anyone who really knew him could hear the care and concern in his voice. This was made even more clear by the fact that he referred to Declan by name for once. Lavi removed the cuff and placed it beside the hook, holding Declan's arm in his hands and gently massaging where the leather had been.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Declan looked up at Lavi as he folded his shirt and spoke about Ryder being asleep and how the dragon had not gone through a rut. "Odd" Declan whispered, "I thought dragons went in their early twenties" he explained before watching as LAvi motioned for him and spoke. Declan was hesitant but moved closer, giving Lavi his arm. Most nights, he ended up sleeping with the hook on, not caring to remove it, too tired once he hit the bed. Lavi took the hook off and unlaced the stays before placing the device to the side. Declan's hook had cost a lot when he got it; having it enchanted to do spell work like a human hand would so he wasn't performing magic single handedly. He looked up as Lavi's hand ran over the skin, the cut off to his hand at his wrist. Lavi spoke and Declans gaze went to the nub. "No I don't suppose it changes it. But it helps; looking toward the future. Reminding me to not let myself get hurt like that again." Declan looked up at Lavi once more.
Once the two were clad aside from their trousers, Declan scooted back onto the bed and patted the spot beside him. He could tell the Dragon was tired, him not being his usual dominant self. "Let's get some rest" he told Lavi, "I got a note this evening. The Pirate Council has ordered a meeting and I am to attend" he explained, "That means I need all the rest, booze, and bodies that I can get. For right now however; I want to focus on rest." He sighed, thinking of the meeting. He was not ready for it; not wanting to spend several days stuck in that room aside from sleep.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ He removed his own shirt and folded it, placing it on top of Declan's. He then sat on the bed and fixed his bun, as the braids had fallen loose over time. He adjusted it, then laid down beside Declan and opened his arms for Declan to settle into. "I hardly remember my first rut. I was barely into my maturity and one of the younger Alphas in the school. I ended up staying holed up in my rooms with this absolutely stunning mage with a great gift for conjuration. Amongst other things." He chuckled, wrapping his arms around Declan and laying back against the pillows. As wonderful as holding Declan was, Lavi definitely loved the captain's bed more. He closed his eyes and blindly reached for a thin sheet to cover them both, dragging it over their lower halves and relaxing once they were halfway covered.
He opened his eyes once more at the reveal of their reason for their return to the Cove. He bit back a groan and pursed his lips. "That's why we're returning?" He fought the urge to roll his eyes. "Ah well, at least we get to meet the new Pirate Lord of the West. All I've heard is that he is a massive beast, towering over everyone else on his ship." He shrugged, then laid his head back and stared up at the ceiling. Ryder's words echoed in his mind, encouraging him to speak his mind with the captain. But how could he? He couldn't bear to bring it up to him, to ask him about how he might feel if he left. It would have to wait until he regained confidence. "Sleep well, Declan. I will be here when you wake." He looked away, lidded eyes staring off at nothing in particular. "As I always am, my captain." He had to fight the urge to refer to him as his love.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Declan settled into the Dragon's arms and smiled as he explained his first rut. Declan couldn't help but imagine a younger Lavi... one who might have been powerful at one time. But preferred not using it now. He leaned into Lavi, smiling when the elder man groaned about the counsel meeting before deciding it was best not to think down but instead focus on something like the new Captain of the West. Declan had heard tale as well, wondering what this man could possibly gain from being as he was. Declan settled into Lavi and smiled again, hearing him explain that he would always be there. Declan found comfort in that... he wasn't often one to let his guard down like he did around Lavi. and he was glad he was able to with the man. Closing his eyes, Declan let out a long breath before laying still, allowing sleep it's grasp over him. He hadn't realized how tired he was until he stopped moving.
The week passed pretty fast, giving them little to no problems in the open water and soon, they were docking in Pirate's Cove. Declan barked the orders, letting Mahanon reiterate them to the crew before they all began on what they needed too. They were early and the meeting didn't start for another day or two. Granting his crew permission to go on land, Declan smiled as he watched them all head off. Some were off to see family, others to pay for a woman's touch. The rest were either staying on the ship or getting drinks. Declan leaned against the helm, glad to be docked a few days. He would be able to send a letter to Remy; letting him know they'd arrived safetly. Looking at his right and left hand men, Declan smiled. "Go on" he told them, "Go and enjoy the place. I'll keep the ship above water for now" he smiled, his gaze dancing across the Little Mouse who had started to make his own keep working with Lavi and a few of the other crew members. Declan thought about keeping him, but wasn't sure it was what the Mouse wanted. He seemed timid of the area. Drawing in a breath, Declan sat down on a step and looked up at the sky, wnjoying the quiet the crew being away brought the ship.

Mahanon Savage Siren's First Mate ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mahanon was one of the first ones to be awake. The savage siren's lead enchanter was quiet and reserved this morning. Rarely had he ever been so reserved and regal. Normally he was a temporal beauty, always on the move and always keeping active. Standing in the center of the ship at first, Mahanon was quick to make sure all work was done before reaching shore. The closer they reached the cove he slowly made his was to the helm with Declan. Often having moment's where he would space out and seem not all the way there. Shaking his head as he was called out to by the crew he would not his hand. "Prepare to dock. Prepare to grab the listed supplies needed. Arwen, I trust you to grab my potion supplies" The First Mate nodded to the one crew member who hesitated as the others rushed off to finish their duties. Docking in The Pirate's Cove was smooth as usual. No one ever truly dared to challenge them as they would dock. The few who have in the past learned the hard way. As they were docking, Mahanon was spacing out as he stood next to Declan on one side. As Lavi stood on the other side. The trio seeming as the perfect team to lead any crew through anything. Mahanon shook his head as Declan gave him the okay to leave ship and do as he pleased. Not like Mahanon had any business to do. Ever since he joined Declan on the savage siren he cut all ties with his old business partners. "My cloak please.." Mahanon nodded as one of the crew members who loved jumping to the first mates beck and call ran off. Once he was back, the first mate nodded a thanks and wrapped the hood less cloak around himself. Whatever dream he had last night had him somewhat eerie today. Followed by a strong urge to roam the cove till he found whatever was calling out to him. The crew man took Mahanon's hand and guided him down the steps. Removing his hand from the others, Mahanon nodded a see you later to Declan and Lavi. Making his way down the board, getting off of the ship. Making his way into the cove, alone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Outfit I'm Wearing: Allegiance: The Savage Siren Mood/Health: Calm Thoughts: Weird dreams last night.... Company: Declan and Lavi, ignoring Ryder.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ It was always lovely to return to the Cove. Indeed, it was the closest to a home on land that Lavi had, as he paid rent for a small apartment above a bookshop that was close to the Council Chambers. He looked to his immediate superior as they docked on that familiar harbor, his ears tingling from the sound of seabirds and the bustle of the closeby market. Inside his pocket, he felt the coldness of his coin that he'd saved for this trip home. There was a particular shady bookseller that he needed to have a lengthy conversation with while Declan went to his meetings. He watched as Mahanon waved them goodbye and left, remaining standing on the ship and waving a little to his immediate superior. "Remember not to draw too much attention, Mahanon." He reminded the elf with a smile, then turned to look at Declan. As he usually did the night after their escapades, Lavi was reluctant to leave his captain's side. However, he knew that he could not accompany the man to the Council. He glanced to the side and sighed deeply.
"You seem pensive," he commented, sitting down beside Declan and placing his elbows on the step behind him. He stretched his legs out, taking up far more space and looking too handsome than was decent. He tilted his head, braids long and slightly touching the wood by his hips. "Is something the matter? You've been distracted nearly the entire voyage." He gestured in the direction that Mahanon had strutted into. "I don't know about your time with Mahanon, but even with me, I've needed to guide you back into subspace. You know how I worry about you, Declan." His voice became soft and concerned and he lifted a hand to gently stroke the captain's cheek in a tender, loving gesture. This was a key aspect of their relationship, both platonically and sexually. As friends, they needed to be open with each other to remain close. As lovers, Lavi could not do his job as the dominant partner without fully understanding his submissive partner's state of mind.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

[ Watching Mahanon, Declan smiled as he listened to Lavi call out after the man. He drew in a breath before looking down. Lavi sat next to him and Declan looked at him as he spoke, sitting next to him. Declan smiled as he looked down. "I'm sorry" He apologized, "I just... feel inferior to the rest of the captains. Going to council meetings is nerve racking." he looked up at the sky. "Usually when they call a meeting like this, there are new things to worry about" he explained. He shook his head. "I do my best with this crew but sometimes I feel it's a bit much" he continued. He leaned against LAvi a bit and rose a brow. "Where is your Little Mouse?" he asked him, curious as to where the man had gotten too. He didnt like to have the attention on him when it came to him breaking down like this. Taking a breath, Declan stoodand brushed his hair back. "What do you plan to do while I'm in Hell?" he asked, looking at Lavi.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ Lavi wrapped a strong arm around Declan's waist, using his warmth and size to comfort the captain. He listened quietly, nodding once or twice before reaching to touch the captain's chin and gently nudge it towards him. "Inferior and superior life lives in the interior of a man. You hold greatness within you, Captain. We all see it. It's probably one of the reasons why we fall so deeply in love with you." His thumb tenderly rubbed Declan's bottom lip and Lavi contemplated leaning in for a kiss before deciding that it could wait and releasing his hold on the captain. He removed his arm and stood as Declan did, leaning back on the railing and crossing his arms. It was not a surprise to anyone that he loved Declan, especially not a surprise to Declan. but he wasn't about to advertise it. Lavi glanced over to Ryder as he was mentioned, smiling softly despite himself.
"I do believe that the Mouse and I have shopping to do. There's a lovely edition that I'm trying to get my hands on for my special collection, but the bookseller is stonewalling me. I may need to get said hands dirty." Lavi winced. He didn't like hurting people if he didn't have to, but being a pirate did help him get used to it a little more than he would have been otherwise. He was very much of the "I will if I must" sort of mindset, and he needed that book. "Will you be sleeping in the inner chambers tonight or should I keep my bed warm?" He asked, referring to the great feathery masterpiece that he kept in his little apartment. It wasn't a large living space and he wasn't in port long enough to make much of an effort in terms of decor, but the bed was the best part of the place. It was huge and soft and surprisingly springy for the less quiet nocturnal activities.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Declan listened to Lavi and thought about what he said. Most of his crew had fallen for him in some way or another, Mahanon and Lavi were more than platonic and a few of them looked up to Declan for saving them. He smiled as Lavi comforted him then looked at Ryder as Lavi spoke about them going shopping. He thought about what Lavi was after and what he would do to get it. He smiled and looked up at Lavi before the older male mentioned whether he should keep his bed warm. "I believe it may be best for me to stay at the council. That way we can get everything done quickly." he explained before sighing. "Have a good time Lavi, and don't spend the whole time studying" He smiled as he went to Lavi, wrapping his arms around the older male. "I look forward to getting back on our way" he whispered before leaning up to kiss Lavi. It wasn't long but it left an impression, letting Lavi know Declan would miss him the few days he would be gone. Declan looked around and went to the ramp. The ship was pretty locked down and he wasn't worried about anyone attempting to steal from him... they'd be mad if they tried.
