I can post a reaction bit this afternoon. I have no preference where we camp. mrgreen

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Pooooooooooooosts! Alto is so precious lol.

How is the kitty doing?

I think we'll make camp in the woods. When it's time, are you able to make that post, Lucy? Just since Alto is driving and would be the one to turn off? Or maybe it would be Jalen or someone that suggests it?

I think the next person to post should be Dez or Mouse...

We'll wait for either to post until this upcoming Sunday, April 19th? If no one's posted after that...then I or someone else can post to get us moving along. smile

I loved Brida's post, also. Glad she's there to help with morale lol

Kitty's getting better. I have to feed her 4 times a day and each feeding takes about an hour, so... I get maybe 4 hours of sleep? Hahaha. As soon as she starts eating her normal amount of regular food, they can remove the tube and life can go back to normal.

Since Alto's in a broody moody, I think anyone can suggest camping, butbi'm happy to set it up.

Oomph. That's rough. Sorry sad Hopefully she's back to normal soon. Did they estimate how much longer it'll take?

I think someone can suggest it -w- I'll ask Momzy.

Could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month. I'm trying to see if the vet is okay with me doing 3 feedings every 8 hours since she doesn't like being fed in the middle of the night anyway and I'm cranky hell without sleep. sweatdrop

I think that makes sense to me. Honestly, as long as she's not hungry and you feed her in the morning o_O I don't see an issue.

Giving Mouse some time to post smile As I said earlier, waiting until this Sunday. If she hasn't returned, I will post and then Momzy is posting for Jalen afterward. <3

Eh the vet said I could try if I really wanted to, but cats generally struggle if you give too much more than 50mL of food via the tube, and she's already getting 60. She still has to eat even if she's not hungry, so guess I will just keep going until the vet says otherwise.

Sorry for probably oversharing about my cat haha. It's been rough since we just moved here and now are stuck inside and then had this to deal with.

Nah, not oversharing at all. If anyone wants to listen to me ramble about my dog, I could do that all day. I love hearing about furbabies and life -w- One of the reasons I like to RP is to get to know the person writing. Maybe kind of lame. But I like making friends lol.

And with the quarantining and all that, I seriously appreciate any and all human interaction. I'm not a HUGE extrovert. More an ambivert. But having this RP and other people to talk to has been helpful for like...mental and emotional health. Helps to not feel alone. smile

So don't feel bad at all. Are things not going well in the new place? Or is it just because of the lock-downs?

The move itself was really stressful. It did not bring out the best in me and my partner haha. Plus I'm in the midst of filing a complaint against our moving company with the Better Business Bureau. rolleyes

The area is great though. I like our rental house, and we had started to make friends at a local brewery/bookstore that makes book-themed beers. But we had started our own lockdown earlier than others since my partner's immunocompromised. I'm easy either way as far as going out or staying in, but the stress of trying to get settled right as lockdown started, then trying to take care of the cooking and chores while my partner works from home, followed by the cat and her bills... I don't have the energy or focus for too much. I'm behind on my own contract work because I don't want to get burnt out again if I try to force too much. Mainly keeping my mental health in check with games, rebuilding my plant collection, RP, and trying to get my novel edits done.

I hope it's not annoying to hear me say, I'm sorry... sad Moving itself is stressful. Moving states is even more stressful. And of the moving company damaged stuff and basically wasn't on par as they should have been...the stress would be THROUGH THE ROOF.

I'm grateful you have a mind to take care of yourself and do the things you love smile that's so important right now. That kind of sucks though that you do all the cooking and cleaning and still have to work though o.O I'm Type A and so I usually do the majority of cleaning while working and I've blown up at my partner before because things felt unbalanced. Could he pick up a few things maybe? Or like...is the talking about it not worth the stress? Because I get that too.

I hope things settle for you. I'm super glad RPing isn't a burden and it actually helps mentally xD

If all the movers had done was break stuff, that would have been one thing. I've moved a lot all my life. Stuff breaks in every move. But stuff broke because of what they did, and they screwed us out of about $1.1k and pulled some really shady moves with switching the allowed payment methods at the last minute (which nearly got me in a lot of trouble with my bank). We tried calling them and leaving messages for a couple weeks, but nada. At this point a complaint is mainly cathartic and we just have to cut our losses.

But it's all okay now. Tbh, based on other complaints filed against this company, we're lucky we even got our things at all. We just chalk it up to an expensive learning experience to kickstart the next chapter.

The cooking falls on me because I'm the better cook (and a show off in the kitchen). The rest just got on my plate because what I do pays little and isn't really that dire. I'm rewriting content all around a college's website. He, however, has a contract to do software development for military projects. So uhhh one of us has much more intense workdays.

Rping is the greatest outlet for me. I'd have a dozen going at once if I could.

OMGOSH. YEET. GET THEM OUT. WHY DO THEY HAVE A BUSINESS. GOOD. NIGHT.

You're handling it well @_@ I'm glad you're filing a complaint. I can't stand dishonesty in people or companies. UGH. I'm sorry. I'm glad you guys are okay though and that you got all your stuff at least sad

Well...even if you don't get paid as much...it's a lot of work to maintain a household. I make more than my partner but never use that as a reason for him to do more or less lol. We actually joke about it. xD I hope the stress levels off at the very least. And that's cool you like to cook smile It's nice to have a partner that does that. Mine learned how to fry an egg only after we got married lol xD

Hey All, I went ahead and posted for Mei. I was going to try to wait until tonight but the way my schedule works out--I just had time this early afternoon. And since we haven't heard from Mouse crying I went ahead.

I notified Momzy and Lark that either of them can go next smile

Just give me a little nudge when I should post. I've got a day of back and forth trips to the vet tomorrow (kitty's 2 week checkup; keep your paws crossed that they'll tell me the feeding tube can come out soon) and some work meetings this week, so I might be a little brain dead and not realize when it's my turn. sweatdrop
