Heconaru looked at all the students that seemed to be listening to the women and trying to comprehend what they were talking about as he skated towards the area, once he encroached on the area he let the skates melt with his sheet of ice and started to walk up as he did so he made the liquid that was residue form into what looked to be a lance that intertwined to pieces and formed a long forked end to it. he filed in the back as he listened to the conversation.

he was bored within minutes and started to mess with the ice spear forming it into a snake that wrapped up his arm and then turn into a rose that nestled into his hair, he loved to use the ice to style his hair more but this time he just let it have a flower in his hair. he loved the feeling of it chilling the left side of his head. He started to glance at students and smiled filled out on his soft lip as he looked onto many a different folk but he still didn't see anything interesting as well as he new he should not speck unless wanting to have his body frozen to a poll, yes he did know who the person in front of him was and he new not to test the waters of her anger it would only end with his face frostbite and stuck to the gates of the academy.

With no amusement that he would be able to see he decided that now is as good a time as any to take a nice seat and relax as he would listen to the goddess talk about the guardians of the area as well as the elements more so over though is the fact that he just felt like there was nothing that was useful being thought to them after all they are supposed to learn how to control there abilities , right. he let out a deep breath as he let snow flakes form and fall onto his face, again he loved the cold and would not stand for it to not exist on his person it was the only thing after all that he has been able to consider home in a long time, as the flakes melted he would proceed to do so again this time though he made it so the flakes when they fell rested in his hair as he let them stay flakes by cooling the temperature around them. it made them look like tiny little stars in his black hair.

The turn of events that occurred in front of him did surprise him a bit as the blast of light was now sent hurling back at him, but he didn't even budge as he waits for the blast of light to get in close before bringing his hand up once more as it collides with the blast as he backhands it up into the air deflecting it away from him and everyone else. He sighs softly as one could see the smoke trailing off of his hand as he slowly lowers it back down. "Yet you expend so much energy maintaining that balance. How can you ever look to reach the full potential of either element when you constantly have to balance the two to keep it from wrecking havoc on your own body. You have a great gift in the element of fire and you started out so strongly with it."

He watches Shinta still. "You may understand the concept of yin and yang and trying to achieve balance between the two but that's the challenge in itself. You can't always balance them out. They may be attracted but there's also that struggle between the elements that's constantly there be it for destruction or for otherwise." He lowers his arm as he looks over his hand noticing the slight scuff marks from the light as he starts to walk over towards Shinta. A cold wind passes by them as he keeps approaching, the sand and pebbles from the stone slabs of the Arena floor starting to vibrate as they slightly raise up in the air kicking up a bit of dust with it before it's all thrown back down to the ground as if a great weight had been placed upon them, but it's not just the Arena itself feeling the strain of this occurrence but also those still in the area as well.

He keeps approaching Shinta as if the sudden difference in the environment is nothing to him as thick black clouds start to gather overhead casting their heavy shadows down upon them. "There is only so much light you can produce from yourself to counteract the darkness to keep this harmony so when there is an increase in the darkness around you, how will you fare when your own darkness starts to react to it. That's that much more light you have to produce from your own energy, the same with the darkness as it too feeds off of your own energy reserves. Be weary for if you deplete yourself and continue to push... It will start to feed off of your very essence." He stops just a few feet away from Shinta now as the sunlight has faded from the area it almost being as black as night.

The shadows themselves creep up along his body as they then cascade down over his shoulders taking form to a new cloak that shrouds his body as another cold breeze passes by. "You may continue to put on your display of light and darkness and you may be able to convert my dark power into light but even that takes it's toll upon you. I can see already from how hard you've used your elements that you have a strong will and determination, however, you've used up a good portion of your energy just to do this much. To continue further would only leave you drained, but I do commend you on how hard you've fought up to this point. Best to leave some for the others though." The shadows around them look ready to n** at Shinta as they circle around his created shield of sorts before he pulls them back as the shadows themselves seem to flow right back up into his cloak as the dark clouds overhead disperse letting the sun shine back through as the pressure upon the Arena goes with it.

He stands there watching Thanatos and Shinta again as he he was expecting the dark god to deflect such a useless attack towards him. After a few minutes he would speak in a monotone voice "This spar wasn't interesting at all.....I was expecting more fire work then seeing darkness or light being forced into such a thing....it's a waste if you ask me....." He looks over back at the ice goddess as he hears her speak but then would quickly look away again and stare off into the distance getting lost into his own deep thoughts
PostPosted: Fri Dec 20, 2013 3:42 pm

After the last word of Thanatos reached Shinta, the darkness in his barrier was taken by the breeze in a cloud. This revealed the pure light barrier that was underneath the darkness. The light barrier too was taken by the breeze shortly after; in the form of what appeared to be sparkles. Shinta was now revealed with his palms now together. A single bead of sweat rolled down his temple(sp), and his breathing had become slightly heavier.

A gentle smile had returned to his expression as he spoke, "I nearly crapped myself." He then laughed before continuing, "I'm sorry I didn't display my true abilities in my fire element. I've been waiting a long time for the opportunity to test that technique. As you said though, it surely takes a toll."
A sigh escaped his lips before he raise his hand; running it through his hair. "It seems when my mother told me I would inevitably inherit my fathers powers more than her own, she was correct."

He made his way closer to Thanatos, and extended his hand to him gesturing a hand shake when he was within reach. "It was a pleasure being able to have this chance to spar with you, sir." He now smiled brightly as he awaited his response. The truth of the matter was, that with fire being his main element, Shinta did not intend to display much of his abilities with it. He felt that there would be a better time for him to make his mark.

Kiya was having what she liked to consider an off day. It may of had something to do with the nightmares she'd been having lately but she couldn't be sure. On off day's her lighting power often manifested on it's own, giving anyone who got too close to her a good shock. Part of her feared that days like these meant she might serge again soon and forget everything she learned and then would have to start all over on discovering who she was. However, at least this time she was in a safe place with people who could help her.

Kyia found a spot in which she thought was safe distance away from everyone and in which had only stone and for her to sit on. She could still watch others go about their day without having to worry about hurting anyone. Off days were always good for people watching. After all she hated to be alone. Before she got to settled in to her spot on the ground she took the metal bracelet off her wrist and placed in front of her. Just case she needed to deflect in lighting toward it instead on person. Sparks danced between her fingers as she let go the metal ring making a tingling sensation spread throughout her hands.

He watches as Shinta drops his two barriers as they seem to just break apart. He could tell from Shinta's stance and expression that he was weary from the small spar having used a good amount of his energy. He was surprised that Shinta hadn't toppled over from the exertion. He steps up to Shinta now taking his hand firmly in a handshake as he looks down towards him. "We all share our blessings and our curses, but our true power doesn't come from what our parents give us... It comes from within our own selves for we shape our own destinies and make the choices as to who we are. Discovery is only half the adventure. The other half is what you make of it."

He releases Shinta's hand as he turns and looks towards the stands at the remaining students and some new faces that decided to join them. "Well well... Seems we have a few new faces upon these stands. I trust that Alestial has been showing everyone the ropes in terms of where they are residing. You each have been given based off of your element a badge for this Academy. That badge is your ID badge and thus it is your means of getting into the Academy itself along with identifying staff members and their rankings. Wear this badge with pride for you represent that element and this Academy within these walls and outside everywhere you go. You are all here for your own purposes and goals. This institution shall help you to achieve those goals.

As far as getting into your own elemental castles where those of that chosen element shall be staying, you shall need to perform a simple unlocking method. It's very simple. Just cast your element at the key stone located at the main doors and you shall be granted access. Beware though for as I'm sure Alestial has told you, there are guardians for every castle and these guardians come in all forms and are very... Efficient at keeping out those are who do not belong. Just be warned that these guardians are not so easily beaten so if you attempt to fight them prepare to put your life on the line because they are tasked with keeping out threats to the castle. Of course your badge can also grant you access as well if you are not as adept at your element as of yet, but you must show it to the guardian. Those wishing to visit the other castles may do so accompanied by a student of that castle or staff member. I bid you all safe journeys and look forward to seeing you all around as you learn and grow. Now the Arena floor is open to anyone else who wishes to spar against a partner of their choosing."

He turns once more to head off as he walks towards one of the exits from the Arena floor knowing that it will lead him back out of the Arena and to the Academy grounds. He had sensed that something was going on outside of the Arena as he sparred with Shinta, but he couldn't quite tell if it was a viable threat or not. He looks around once outside the Arena not seeing any signs of Rachel or Phader around as he wonders where they could have gone off to. "Very odd..."

He looks over towards the girl sitting off by herself on the rock as he narrows his eyes slightly. He approaches her as his cloak flutters in the breeze along with his long strands of black hair. "Now why would anyone want to be by themselves on such a lovely day?" He spoke of course of the sun shining down from above and there being very little clouds in the blue sky. "Ah but where are my manners? I've forgotten to introduce myself. I am Lord Thanatos, one of the Moderators here at the Academy." He stands there before her as he watches the sparks flicker from her fingers as he chuckles softly to himself. "Ckoal would be very interested in you being a fellow lightning user and all. I think he's looking for a few students to teach."

He closes his eyes memorizing what the Dark god said as he burned his words into his mind. He looks over at Alestial waiting to move on or incase she had something to say herself to the students. He stayed silent as usual keeping calm so he wouldn't lose control of his violent nature

After everything was said and done by Thanatos, she and her minions went to work passing out everyone's personal badges for the academy and made sure everyone had theirs.

"Ok, with that you are all free to go and begin your new journeys, just make sure to stay safe and if you have any questions to need anything, see any of us out. Thank you."

She smiles to everyone as her minions seems to get blown away into snow flakes in the wind, she turned around and followed after Thanatos, she needed to talk to him about something, but she noticed that he was with a student that was off on her own and decided to let him talk with her before she interferred.

As the sparring match between Thanatos and Shinta neared its conclusion a figure would appear in the shadows of one of the archways that led out from the school's many inner hallways onto an small balcony that overlooked the entrance of the school grounds. His hand reached out as he appeared, gently touching the building's stone in a manner that suggested he was familiar with the place, which was true. He was familiar indeed with the school and the surrounding grounds of Euphoria, having spent many a year amongst it's buildings and inhabitants before having departed once again. His wanderings had brought him back to this familiar land once again, though for what reason he did not yet know. That was in the future however, and the future is never truly known to anyone, even those who would claim to know such things.

This figure did not emerge from the shadows and simply watched the match's end before chuckling softly to himself and turning to head inside the building. Entering the hallway he turned slightly and headed in one direction, his footsteps echoing slightly in the empty halls. After a few moments he began to hum a tune. The tune itself had no meaning, being nothing more than nonsense really, but it was a tune nonetheless. Another moment would pass and his body would fade away into nothingness once again, leaving only the tune to travel echoingly down the halls.

Ren was a bit nervous he felt he was about to go off into a world he was alone in. He stood up and smiled to Alestial. " Thank you for all your help Madam Goddess." He said as he bowed in respect to her. He sighed as he looked at the group he was with. He was sure none shared his element and he felt he was far behind everyone here. That was okay though he would get strong or so he hoped. After bowing to the Goddess he would collect his bag as he closed his eyes and then opened them. He put on a determined face and he looked towards the exit. He started off out of the arena wondering if he would get a chance to practice his skill. He wondered how he even used his element. Ren managed to find his way outside with out getting lost. He felt better out side in the open air. He loved the way it felt on him. Ren walked to the side a bit as he looked around he wondered which direction his dorm could be.

After Thanantos had finished his speech and Meldarion had received his badge from one of the ice goddess's minions, a mischievous smile crept across his face with a chuckle as he slunk off towards the ice castle, looking around for where these guardians were exactly. He figured they would be some sort of statue, so he kept a close eye on the architecture as he started to sneak into the ice castle. His scrawny figure giving him an advantage in that area as he could squeeze through small gaps and was generally harder to detect than most.

The Land of Ice and Snow was a harsh environment as the wintery winds whipped about ferociously spreading its icy grip across the lands. It was snowing pretty hard almost appearing as a blizzard as the skies were overlaid with storm clouds and the temperature itself was starting to drop well below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Meldarion would undoubtedly have a difficult time staying warm if he hadn't prepared ahead of time as he had to cross through the Passage of Ice leading from the Lake of Serenity as the Passage of Ice was almost like walking through a death trap of thick stalagmites of ice hanging down ready to pierce through those who made even the slightest noise as one could hear the wind blowing through making a wondrous sound against the ice as it sounded like wind chimes.

The Ice Castle lay ahead set against the rocky cliffs blanketed in snow as a single stone cobble bridge stretch across the gap between the two peaks. Large icicles hang from the bridge and from the structure itself as it would pose a bit of a menacing sight yet serene and beautiful at the same time as the what light there was burning from within the castle and from the flames upon the pillared fire pits sparkled against the ice making it shimmer. It would seem as Meldarion got closer to the castle itself that the blizzard would get worse as the strong gales would blow the snow down against him. The guardians of the castle may have not presented themselves yet but it would almost seem as if they wouldn't have to as the weather itself was tough enough against the lone traveler.

A nonsense tune would begin to be hummed, seeming to come from nowhere and everywhere all at once in the courtyard that marked the entrance to the Elemental School's grounds. A few moments would pass and a figure would appear from the ether, walking through the entrance and into the courtyard, pausing as he reached the center of the empty courtyard where he would glance in various directions, taking in the sight of the familiar stone.

A few of the recent arrivals might recognize this figure, his white hair and pointy ears both being notable physical features. After all, this one had been a regular inhabitant of the schools in years past, returning only now.

The figure stood still for a moment, saying nary a word. Another moment would pass, as silent as the first before his body lifted slightly from the stone floor and he settled into a seated position. Here he would sit, floating cross-legged above the center position of the courtyard with his eyes closed, almost as if he were meditating.

Meldarion shivered ferociously as the blizzard intensified, and eventually he crouched down to the ground, turning so his back faced the direction of the wind, his hood pulled up to keep the cold air off his head and neck. "Of c-c-course....I couldn't have chosen an element more temperate to try and infiltrate..." He muttered to himself, shivering as he conjured up a small blaze in his hands to warm himself up, taking a break from tredging through the blizzard. "It can't be much farther...." He assured himself, trying to stay confident.
