Panic seized Jawara as Misae began backing away with a hurt expression. Guilt washed over the lean lion as his thoughts spun in wild circles on how to salvage the mood. An answer close to the truth would do. Yes, it was his best bet because losing Misae now would be the biggest regret he'll ever carry on his shoulders. It's not or never, Jawara. Pray that she believes you. A large gulp of air, a cleared mind as he carefully chose his words to tell Misae, and a silent prayer that she would believe him. "I mean, having you back again, playing with you, is the best prize I'll ever have, Misae. I really missed you, as did the pride. I guess I just got overexcited." It was the truth, every bit of it, not not the truth he really wanted the blurt out, but it behaved as a proper response nonetheless. He had missed her, the pride had missed her, and he had gotten overly excited. His blue eyes gave her an honest gleam and his body language supported his claim. Now all he waited for was her response.

For a few mere seconds there was simply just silence. The only noises that were caught by those ears was the distant trumpet of elephants signaling their whereabouts. Nothing else caught the main attention except the figure right before Misae. Waiting patiently of course for an answer, there was thoughts of what could be said. What migh be said. Saddening thoughts were all there was. Yet, at the sound of that deep voice all features focuses forward. Ears perked forward and eyes of course interested, watching Jawara's muzzle move to pronounce words. So it would seem the male lion was just over pumped with excitement at her return. Seemed plausable. Those cream round ears lowered and her expression softened to a smile. Just as innocent as her reactions was just as innocent as her next action. Pressing her nose to Jawara's cheek. Taking a step back she laughed. "I m-missed y-you and everyone t-t-too~" All was good now.

Instantly the dark lion's ears perked in happiness and relief as his pelt flushed with embarrassment as he felt the female's wet nose press against his wet cheek fur. Jawara couldn't deny how he felt a small thrill from the contact. A passion in the lion's heart was flared up by the innocent lioness, and a desire for her grew evermore with her so close. Sad it was that she would never see his honest and true feelings for her. The best the rosy-brown lion could do was to remain as a close friend on the cream-colored lioness. "I hope you never leave again, Misae. However, now's not the time to remain depressed." Suddenly and without warning, the warrior tackled the female under the water once again before moving away from her once more. His rump was in the air as he waited for the young lioness to resurface, half his body submerged in the water and dripping from every hair.

A small and gentle laugh formed into the air with Misae back in good spirits. Not being so skittish at the moment. Didn't know how long that would last once more. It seemed to come and go on and off. For the moment it was being used which was the good thing. "I w-won't." Before long all went blue. Metaphorically of course. Liquid covered her ody after the mere weight of something trampling over her. It was only a few seconds before the lioness took in that she had been tackled. No more weight on her frame the smaller lioness emerged and shook, almost toppling herself over with the force. Gold orbs watched the dark male take a playful stance. So that's how it was going to be. Eyes never narrowed nor did Misae lower her frame. No. She just closed the gap between Jawara and herself in a single sprint bound, after making one zig-zagged turn so she could tackle him from the side. Though her form wouldn't fully knock him over. At least she didn't think so. She wasn't that strong.

Laughing as he saw Misae break the water's surface, Jawara was not expecting her sudden zig-zagging sprint. Under normal cricumstances, her light-weight body would not have knocked him down, but coupled with the slippery mud beneath his feet and his poor grip on said slippery mud, the male collapsed into the water with the lioness on top of him. Water filled his nostrils as he heard water rush into his ears. Opening his eyes, the murky water of the watering hole obstructed his vision until his bearings returned to him. Lurching forward, the warrior regained his footing and broke free of the water's surface, gasping for large gulps of air. The large male shook out his fur, but he was still in a playful mood. "Whoa!" Grinning, the male splashed Misae with the drinking water.

It seemed things were going to continue to escalate. Escalate in play and fun actually. There would be no risen level in anything other than that. It was not like either of them was going to get adrenaline and attack each other. No. That tended to happen in over exhausting hunts but rarely even that. On those paws even after the tumble, bright eyes kept ahead on their target whom seemed to be doing perfectly fine now. That was obvious with a splash of water to the face. Not even bothering to shake the water from her fur, Misae readied herself for another pounce. This was however a feint. Something she was mighty good at. Learned from that Rogue mother of hers when she was extremely young. Used to play with her pride siblings. Leaning to the left for only a split second, she switched to the right and splashed towards Jawara knowing fully well she'd get him. With the water hitting him she pounced forward to take advantage of the situation. He wanted to play. He got her in the mood to play which was rare. She was truly comfortable.

Jawara should have expected the feint after watching her play with the cubs when she was young, but Misae got him anyways. He tried to clear his vision of the water when he felt the lioness land on him, sending him under the murky water. The fear of taking in water kept him from laughing, but that didn't mean he wouldn't have some mischief while he was submerged. Quickly squirming out of her grasp, he found her paws and began licking them in an attempt to tickle her. It was difficult to allow his tongue to slip out without taking in too much water, yet he succeeded. However, he still needed to breathe and soon found himself breaking the water's surface and taking in air, laughing all the while.

[Enter Abaeze from Pride Rock.]

Abaeze moved through the Pride lands on quiet paws, seeking out the herbs for her younger brother while escaping Ayita, Bodaway, and her king's watchful eyes and concerns. As long as Musa didn't fall asleep, she would be content for the following days.

Misae was quick with her paws. Quick with her mind. Not that she would admit and even agree that she was good with these skills, it was true. The light colored lioness was small in frame and gentle, but had the perfect abilities to be a great huntress like others thought she could be. But, those negative thoughts said otherwise. Now was not the time for this. She was too occupied with a tongue against her paw pads. Not rough and ragged like you would think. Maybe a little scratchy but still, soft. The sands of beaches caused that. Grinding away any rough skin. She was indeed ticklish and she eeped in return to Jawara's actions. Jumping away from the male as he came up to breath, laughing. The young lioness had a few giggles of her own. A bright smile and shine in those gold eyes. Ears flat against her head as she laughed. Paw over her maw as she sat back on her haunches. Hip deep in the water and uncaring of how dirty she was now. Muddy splotches here and there. This was perfect. Fun in the sun.

Jawara began laughing harder when he saw the muddy state Misae was n as she came up from the water. Walking to her, he rubbed his head against her shoulder and laughed, "You look lovely in the mud, my dear," before giving another splash of water at her and moving away with swiftness. He was enjoying himself immensely by being with Misae, if only for the moment.

This had to be the most fun Misae had been having in almost a year. Who knew getting dirt and mud coated, not to mention wet, could be fun. The young lioness laughed a little more. But suddenly, what humans called H2O, splashed her in the face. Stopping immediately, eyes squinted and blinked. That was a lovely experience. Something she would very much get back at for. Gold hues locked on Jawara. Not glaring. Staring. Forever staring. Staring hard as she got on all fours. Standing, Misae stepped forward. Then again. And again. Until she was edging closer to the male. At the very last second she jumped to the right with lightning speed and jumped forward. To take out Jawara's legs from beneath him. This would cause him to topple over. About ready to take the opportunity to jump, eyes caught movement in the distance. A shimmering blob of gold. Brighter from the shine of the sun. Fleeing in the background of the savannah. "Is that... Bodaway?" Leaving herself unguarded and unprotected. Her attention caught by something else, not Jawara.

Jawara fell into the water, taken by surprise by Misae's actions, and readied for her to land on top of him. However, when he did not feel her body weight come down through the water, he returned to the surface, giving her a questioning look. "Misae, what's wrong..." Following her line of vision, the dark lion caught sight of the golden Bodaway running through the savanna, away from Pride Rock. "We need to go after him. Something must have happened to upset him." Maybe another fight with Abaeze, but what could the lioness do to make the golden male run away? Nudging Misae with his muzzle, he motioned for her to come with him after the other male.

To entranced in thought to really hear anything, Bodaway was at top speed, for a basic run that is. Didn't want to wear himself out too quick otherwise he wouldn't get anywhere anytime soon. The male didn't want to be here any longer then he was obviously not welcome. Maybe welcome by the others. But with that little accident, surely not forgiven by Abaeze for the rest of his life. So, with one friend surely going to ignore him for the rest of her days, he took his chances with going home. Couldn't stand it. Wouldn't be able to. things would get awkward too fast and would be unbearable. As gold paws hit dirt, kicking up dust through the plain grass, a light voice caught his ears. Causing them to swurl back. But the voice itself made him run faster. He knew who it was. And he was not stopping. For anyone.

No words really had to be said for Misae to take a good paw step forward in the direction the golden smudge was heading. Another paw step. Then another. And another. By the time words came out about going after Bodaway, the light sand schemed lioness was now trotting. In seconds she was in a run. A few more seconds and she was speeding forward. Much like the little race to the watering hole. This was serious however. When this shy lioness was serious enough, with care, her movements were far better. Her speed was greater as she felt like she was hunting. Hunting a friend. Not stalking. Chasing. Hungry to find out what had happened. Why he would all of a sudden leave. Not simply leave. But run. Something had to be completely wrong. Like Jawara, Misae wanted to know. Something was definitely wrong and she wasn't going to stop running until she found out. or unless she passed out but that was a different story. Then, a surprise happened. The lioness did something she never would have. She yelled. "BODAWAY!" Exhaling a heavy breath, she yelled again.

Jawara propelled himself forward, joining Misae in the chase to hunt down their friend. He joined in his voice with hers in calling for the golden male lion. What was Bodaway thinking and what caused him to run away from the pride and all his friends in the pride? "BODAWAY!" The dark male roared, running as fast as he could, his eyes locked on the massive golden lion. The golden grass passed in a blur as he ran. Herds of animals ran in the opposite direction as he plowed through the tall grasses of the savanna. The large paws of the warrior pounded against the earth in a natural rhythm with his heartbeat. Get Bodaway. Stop Bodaway. Hurry.

Abaeze was rummaging through the plants of the savanna, her mind wandering to Musa and if the little furball did as she told him. She wondered if Bodaway went to keep the cub company. Though she was angry at the golden lion, she knew his company would cheer her brother and keep him awake. Leaving two stupid males together made two happy and stupid males. As long as Bodaway didn't try to play with Musa, she would be content with him hanging around her brother. However, Bodaway wouldn't be playing with Musa until the cub was beginning to get his mane. "Then Musa will have a chance in a fight, no, he won't, but still." She laughed softly as the task of finding herbs eased the tension in her mind. Careful not to ruin the herbs, the lioness snapped each stem and plucked each leaf with careful precision before gathering them in a ball of grasses before returning to Pride Rock. Then she saw the high-speed chase of a certain massive, golden lion by a sand-colored lioness and a dark brown warrior. Sighing, Abaeze couldn't understand why the two were chasing after Bodaway. The male was taking time to run off the frustration he had from hurting Musa, so what was so wrong—Abaeze padded closer to the scene, her light blue eyes watching them and trying to catch their voices. Yet their body language spoke for itself. Quickly, the female hid her herbs and took off in the direction Bodaway was heading, planning on cutting him off before he got the chance to leave the territory.

Years of living amongst trees and running through fine grained sand has strengthened muscles in different ways then native Pride lions. It would be like comparing a jogger versus a marathon runner. Simple joggers kept the same speed at the same type of ground. Marathon runners tended to speed up and excelerate on a different track. Bodaway was used to the sinking of dirt and sand. Forearm and shoulder areas prime muscle built for this. Back muscles holding up his weight with the sinkage. Could also be like comparing someone to how they act in different altitudes. Someone who could run possibly a mile in twelve minutes in the mountains, could probably run a nine or ten minute mile in lower altitudes. This mean the same for the golden giant. A typical lion could run at thirty five miles per hour in a short burst of two minutes. By the end of that they were worn out. And the distance was short. In hunting, with others to help, this was fine. Even though Bodaway was a bit heavy, he could run that thirty five miles per hour for about five minutes. Tended to run a bit slower so this possibility of time could extend. Now was a good example. As he didn't stop for anything. Thundering paws against the savannah. Lips twitching in agitation of being chased. Couldn't they leave him alone. Turning his head, the massive male bared his teeth at a approaching Misae and Jawara. Eyes saying the opposite, as he increased his speed.

Seconds passed. Turning into minutes. At the rate those legs were moving, Misae was getting tired. Losing breath and ground quickly. She wouldn't be able to catch up to the fleeing friend. But hopes weren't lost. Forcing herself to keep going, her breath began to become heavy. Getting just maybe sixteen feet behind Bodaway. But a show of fangs frightened her as she slowed not. Not expecting that reaction. Exhaustion and surprise caused her to stop almost immeidately. Head lowering as she breathed in and out. Coughing from the shortened breath. Lungs heaving to take in the needed oxygen. As seconds passed space between them was growing dramatically. Looking back up she could barely see Bodaway's fleeing form anymore. "BODAWAY! COME BACK!" That light voice roared like it never had before. But shortened in breath stopped it quick as she sat on her haunches. Failed...

Jawara slowed his pace down, ending up beside Misae, exhausted and strained from the effort in to catch the massive golden male. No one could expect them to catch him now. Still, the dark-pelted lion gave a roar, "BODAWAY!" in a last ditch effort for the lion to stop and return to them. Jawara nudged Misae with his muzzle, silently asking her if she was okay. The lioness really strained herself, more so than him, in chasing their friend. She was amazing and skilled, and Bodaway shouldn't have bared his teeth at them. They were only trying to help him.

Then he hear a familiar voice angrily roar the runaway male's name. Jawara instinctively ducked his head behind Misae as if he feared being scolded by the owner of the voice. He wasn't sure how she managed to end up ahead of their friend, but she did, which made it all the more frightening.

"BODAWAY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?"
"I feel like...I feel like she's scolding me," he panted in between breaths, his lungs filling with precious oxygen. He could see the pale, sand-colored lioness stand like a mighty ruler from the faraway distance that she and Bodaway were from him and Misae.

Abaeze snarled at Bodaway, exhausted from the effort she took in coming after him, never mind the fact that she still was injured from the fight with the hyenas. Once she got Bodaway back at Pride Rock, she'd make him work for the trouble he's caused her. "Don't run," she growled as she launched herself at the golden male, batting at him with her sheathed paws, hoping to land several blows to his head. "Who. Told. You. To. Run. Away. From. Your. Problems?!" She roared with each strike to his head. She was fuming mad. If she didn't turn him into a throne rug first, she'd make him sorry he came up with the idea of running away from the Pride because of being an idiot! Stupidity wasn't an excuse to run away from one's problems.
