Tori had just settled into her chair when she heard a cheer that sorta made her jump a little as it had been about her division. Looking over closely she looked at the male life hunter that had cheered and was now grinning and she did go red ever so slightly. What is a boil? She had asked Aklin as she might have a guess but she wanted if she was right on what she thought. Fine have it your way. She sighted as Tori made a mental note to at least introduce herself to that guy that she thought might be part of her division hence the cheering.

Before gave a little yelp at the pinch as he gave Bix a pout and furrowed brows. Okay, his Bro totes had a legit reason to remind him to STFU, because, well, Boss-Dude-Caelius. Enough said. >.>
"Thanks, Bro," he chuckled sheepishly.
It is healthy to fear your superiors, Before, but do not forget that you must one day command respect as well.
I-I dunno, Vanna, commanding stuff's just not me...
NONSENSE!!!! she roared, You already command attention. Albeit in... unorthodox ways... You must work on your bearing.
"B-but I don't wanna be a bear..." he whimpered softly, just loud enough for Bix and anyone within one seat to hear.

A normal person would have made a face. A normal person probably would have judgingly stared at Before.
Bix just leaned over, without even looking at his bro, "I dunno. Bears are pretty cool."
Just in his opinion, obviously. He also had no idea what before was talking about but was happy to put his opinion in anyway.

On the other side of Before, next to Tika, Gale was busy rubbing his face exasperatedly with his hand.
Though he may or may not have been hiding a smile under his fingers.

Madison grinned at each of the new trainees who introduced themselves as future Life Hunters. Ever since talking and traveling with Clarice, she'd gained a new appreciation for the meaning of the branches on her white coat, and-
"YAY LIFE!"
. . .
Would slumping down in her seat or pretending she didn't hear that be better? Oh, Before.

Eva was just trying not to laugh. She struggled to suppress her laughter, and then tried to suppress the shaking of her shoulders that came from suppressing her laughter. Considering how serious so many of these trainees seemed to be, it was nice seeing someone who was so...carefree? At least, he seemed to be pretty enthusiastic.
After she had gotten herself under control, Eva shot a grin over in Before's direction. He's got guts, yelling that so loudly in front of a superior.
Or he's an idiot.
Guts, Chara. Guts.

Sorry, Madison, thanks to Clarice you are stuck with Before in the Life Division. FOREVER. Or until someone puts him out of his misery. Or gives him a reason to transfer but, c'mon, other division don't have Clarice. d*w*b
"They are pretty good at mauling," Before nodded to Bix, before Before turned to Gale to ask a quick, "What do you think about being a bear?"
Bearing, silly Before, BEARING. Not being a bear.

YAY LIFE!
Soon after Leon's face met the table in disbelief. It had to be Before, it just had to be.

Otto turned his head to get a good look at the dork who yelled that ridiculous saying, finding it was, of course, Before. Now, Otto didn't know him well. Still, somehow, he expected this from him, from what he gathered from their fight.
Seriously?
Otto's brow twitched, mouth gaping open slightly at Before. Suddenly, Otto was thankful to be on an opposite division. Death Hunter.

The look Gale gave Before was one of complete and utter confusion.
"Er," he said. "What? A bear?"
There was a moment's pause.
"..............it might be pretty cool, I guess."

It took less than a second for him to create two lists from the names. "Well, now that we all know who everyone is-"
"YAY LIFE!"
Caelius's eyebrow twitched. "Milton. Report to me post-mission."
Silence again.
"- Now that we know who everyone is," the Death Hunter repeated, "I will list names. Gale, you will be with Otto." It might have occurred to everyone else in the room that Caelius was making quite an effort to put them in the worst group scenario possible. He continued. "Milton, Tori. Madison, Sherry. Ferdinand, Tedan. Ariane, Dakota. Petra, Minerva. Leon, Harrison." A pause as he clearly remembered Harrison from the Haunted House incident but said nothing further, "Cassandra, Aleister. Candace, Katherine. Wilson, Tika. Reine, Jordan. Deryk, Marcus. Anyone who has not been named will be staying with me."
He stood up, the look behind his glasses the usual 'just try it and see' approach. "While there is no need for you to hold each other's hands, I would like you to remember your assignments for convenience purposes. That means if your assigned partner has any questions, hopefully the more experienced of the two will be able to answer. It also makes absences easier to check post-mission." The undertone of the word 'absence' seemed to be pretty obvious as to what word it actually was replacing. Without another word, Caelius simply strode out of the room and briskly down the stairs, expecting them to follow or simply get left behind.
A small portion of the training field had been slightly cleared in favour for a small tent. It was raining lightly, and had been for the past week due to light tropical storms passing by, the wind sweeping the side of the tent to reveal something pale blue and glowing within it. The Death Hunter leader nodded to a few of the Hunters outside before pulling the tent flap open. Inside was a very simple doorway constructed of pale grey stone and runic blue markings. For those who were on the Island during their candidate process, it looked remarkably similar to The Door.
Without another word, Caelius simply walked in. Something flickered behind him, what seemed like a hovering orb, though it quickly trailed behind the Death Hunter and was swallowed into the darkness as well.
When the first of the trainees stepped to the other side, blasts of warm air and sand assaulted their senses. There was a strange low howling noise, similar to wind running down a small funnel. The Death Hunter leader was standing next to the door with a couple of other Hunters, another much larger tent set up behind them. There was only sand and wind as far as the eye could see.
"Get them the basics, teach them how to recover samples." With that, Caelius walked into the tent away from the trainees.
One of the Hunters on duty sighed. Upon closer observation, she was notably not a Death Hunter, probably just some helpless victim put on duty: the angled crescent moon on her jacket proved that theory. She waited for all the trainees to assemble before continuing.
"Welcome to The Sahara Disaster Site, I guess." The Moon Hunter sounded extremely strained and tired, hair falling out of her ponytail in errant strands. "Why Caelius would even send trainees-" She shook her head, pushing locks of her hair, though they simply fell back in disorder seconds later. "Anyway, I am here to receive you as the recovery team. It's a simple task but please remain strong." A sideways, almost pitying look was given to the trainees. "Anyway, when you are ready, I will have equipment for you. You will need to each put on a headset as well as a heat-sensing mask for the mission. The mask is so you can immediate locate any survivors, though we've already been here for hours with no luck. It's really quite a mess, you are lucky the masks have poor visual feedback." Another pause. "Everyone is lucky."
Another Hunter walked out of the tent, and for a second, the trainees could see a little bit of what was inside: what seemed like rows and rows of long black bags.
The Moon Hunter seemed to nearly lose her nerve at the sight of the bags again. "A-anyway pick up a mask, put it on, let me know if you need any assistance." She fidgeted. "Headsets go on before the mask. When we're done I'll show you trainees the way." OOC - The masks and headsets are in boxes next to the Moon Hunter. Simply pick up a set, talk with your partner or others as needed, and wait for further instructions - The masks are able to sense body heat in colours but all other shapes appear only in varying shades of grey and black shapes, making walking around slightly more difficult - If you were in Caelius's 'group', you might want to ask what to do in that situation...

Whut.
Otto's eyes moved to gale, eyeing him indifferently for a long moment, before lidding. With a sigh, he and returned his gaze back to Caelius. It could be worse, he thought.
Otto got up once the lecture was done with, stuffing his hands in his pockets and moving out of the room.
~~~~
After making his way to the damp training grounds, and through the familiar doorway, Otto's eyes were assaulted by wind and sand. He held his hands over his head to protect his hat from flying off, moving away from The Door so as not to block the way. He turned the brim of his hat toward the source of the wind, holding it there, and pushed his sunglasses closer to his eyes.
The young man listened to what he could over the howling wind, his eyes squinting at the figure who spoke to them. He got the gist of what was needed to be done, and took initiative, grabbing a kit; headset went on first, and then the mask. His sunglasses remained on his face underneath.
His hat was shoved into his pocket. He didn't want it to get lost. He only had so many, you know!
Whelp, she'd been paired up with one.. 'Aleister'? Cass took a moment to survey which one that had been. Blonde Deathy right? She co-..s**t, there were a lot of blonde death hunters this time around. WHELP. After a moment, Cass got up, approaching the boy she hoped would be her partner from Caelius's assignment.
Patting him on the shoulder, she grinned.
"You're stuck with me, dude." she laughed. Cass was always surrounded by older boys, now wasn't she? Nicodemus didn't have the room to disapprove in her head, however. "I'm going to warn you now; I leap before I think." she waved one finger about matter-of-factly before she jerked her head in the direction of Caelius. "Better follow the bossman though." And with her quick introduction done, she linked one arm with Aleister's and headed on her merry little way, walking quicker than someone heading into known death should have been.
Though by that point, Cass's fear of death was quickly waning.
Outside, she finally let the older boy go, just paving the way ahead to keep up with the Death Hunter lead who had gone on ahead of them. There was no time for dilly-dallying as far as she knew. She didn't even waste time inspecting the portal before she stepped through, just to be assaulted by sand, pulling her arms up over her face. Oh god, that barely helped at all!
Note to self: PUT SLEEVES ON YOUR COAT, GIRL. Still, at least at this point it was mostly her shoulders. She'd manage. Be bloodied up a bit, but manage she figured. She actually paused after a moment and took her scarf, wrapping it around her shoulders and tying it on the middle of her chest to get those covered. Okay, this was better.
With that done, she walked over to the boxes that they were pointed to, nodding. "Thank you." she said to their helper-friend, putting a headset on, but not a mask get, taking another set to take back to her partner, offering them to him.
"So, are you melee or a shooter?" she asked. "That helps me know how to cover you in battle." It was actually fortunate Cass could do both, though she did look to the sand blowing around, frowning. "I hope Melee, because I don't think any bullets are going to help in this weather."
Marcus. Deryk remembered him in the little meet and green in the hallway the other day. Looking around, it took him a moment or two to spot him. "Hey Marcus! Over here!" he called out while making his way over. He didn't get to say much more aside from that, seeing how they were already on the move. Following the rest out, he paused as he felt the air grew considerably warmer and drier as well. "Woah woah wait. The Sahara? How did... " he started while looking back. The Island didn't seem like it was anywhere near Egypt, so he was a little baffled as to how they suddenly ended up in the middle of a desert of all places. Well, at least he had a hood to help keep his head cool, he supposed. The Death hunter still wasn't too sure what sort of samples they were needing to retrieve but they'd find out soon enough. "Man. Never thought I'd be out in Egypt. Kinda cool I guess. Wonder if we'll get camels," he rambled to himself while grabbing some equipment. He then looked over at Marcus, grinning some, "Have you been here before?"
They were given groups. Cealius had put the old with the new which Tikaanis could respect. She only wished that her squad had personal older hunters to help them about when they were sent on missions. But other then that, Tika was fine. The teen gave a small smile to Wilson. "Hope you don't mind I'm younger and a girl. Come on. Best not to keep Cealius waiting or he might think of something unpleasant for us to do." Not to say the missions were pleasant. They usually weren't. At all. The festival probably had been the easiest thing Tikaanis had done while being a hunter trainee. The training grounds were damn and unpleasant. There was a door that stood out to the teen though. Tika wasted no time going on through and joining the rest of the team some where... unknown. As it so happened this mission didn't seem like it was going to be pleasant. The moon hunter giving them their instructions wasn't helping this seem pleasant at all. She reached for a head set and slipped it on and then went ahead and slipped a mask on over. The sooner they got started the better.
