This will build up your resistance to things.
Also, I watched a friend of mine play SC5's storyline and. . . . Dude, I thought Soul Edge was kind of a sweetheart at the end. Even if that was just, "Yeah, okay, you can use me to break your bro out of the crystal thing. Just give me souls/destroy Soul Calibur.."
It's like, Edge is still a jerk, but not THE jerk of that particular storyline.
I wonder though, if Soul Edge survives into the modern era, would it be able to shoot soul/energy bullets if the wielder was a gun-wielding type? If not, what if the wielder uses a crossbow or a regular bow and arrow?
Soul Edge rifle, armor piercing bullets/bolts/arrows that home into peoples. Scary.

I know! I thought that was an awesome twist to things. Cause normally, Like you said Soul Edge is the jerk face in everything and get's his proverbial a** handed to him in the end. This time around, dude.
Elysium has the BIGGEST stick up her a**.
But dawwww, Soul Edge was all sweet there.

And I was wondering that myself. Tainted soul bullets? Like, how a vampire chooses to who vamp and who to make a ghoul? It can effect the bullets in such a way as to get a servant out of it and stuff.
Lost and myself were actually discussing how to go about making a modernish Soul Cal rp based on a story idea he had been working on.
And you totally caved to Pyrrha. Sweet, helpless little girl asking for your help. Not demanding, not taking, but actually asking you. Come on, you went all squishy there.

Dude. . . . If I was left between leaving a friend/family in a crystal or taking up Edge to bust them out, I'd take the latter. At least with Edge he'd be straight and go, "Do whatever the ******** you want. Just feed me souls." I think he starts getting into the mind control thing when he gets fussy about not being fed.

She will take your mind and run away with your body. Just hellbent on destroying Edge. I mean, yeah she'll prep you for it, but seriously, she's just "DO DIS NOW. Btw, I'mma take the form of someone you respect/love most so you CAN'T do s**t about it. Oh yeah, for justice too. I guess? But mostly, kill Edge and turn the world into a crystal."
I thought the crystal thing was just Sieg's ending in 4, but then I played Cassandra. Elysium was gonna do it ANYWAYS. emotion_donotwant
For the modern Soul Cal, I would be interested to see how it would work. I wonder of Soul Edge can just be your arm as a weapon and then go Spawn/Darkness/Prototype on people. I think that would be cool.

Its funny, Edge and Calibur are so polar opposite, they are alike. Single minded towards thier ultimate goal, using what they have at their disposal to take it. One essentially wants the world to burn. The other wants to just make it to where nothing happens.
Whomever would ever come out on top, everyone else is just screwed over.
That and I just don't like Elysium
Edge: Hey, Ivy called and she wants her thorny rose sword back. You know, the one you currently have shoved up your self righteous, holier than thou a**.
And that was actually how Edge was going to work in the modern Soul Cal rp. Prototype like. He was gunna start off all weak as hell while the host body consumes more and more giving Edge more power and ability to work with.

What would happen if Soul Edge won and there's no more souls left in the world? Would he dimension hop or attempt to go into space?
You know what would be really funny? If Namco pulled a Witchblade. With Edge being the Darkness and Elysium being the Angelus. I don't know how that would work, but I think I'd laugh if it became true.
Modern Soul Edge wielder, would they be low key or just go all out? So many ideas to play with, I think. Though, if Edge ever got to Spawn-Tier powers. . . . O_O

Dimensional hop probably. Or if he was smart about it, he wouldn't just consume everything to where there was nothing left.
Witchblade? Heard the name, unfamiliar with what it is thought.
Hm, still trying to figure that out. It would be best to take the route Edge did in 5, the low key approach before going "WELP. I have enough power. KILLING SPREE WHEE!"

Darkness (a type of symbiotic weapon?) + Angelus (Counterpart/polar opposite to Darkness) = Witchblade (Apparently their "baby")
I don't get it, but the irony is hilarious since the parent weapons pretty much hate each other as much as Edge and Elysium do as far as I can gather from wikipedia.
I would find it amusing if Charade came back in the modern Soul Cal story and bounce around after Edge like Tira does.

Hohoho. actually, Tira would be in the story since she has apparently "stopped aging." and it's funny to because she probably started this big old secret cult of malfested and stuff.
*rubs chin* Hey, in the original Soul Calibur, Xiaunguha had soul calibur, but in the final battle it was left behind with Soul Edge in some hellish alternate dimension where Soul edge pretty much ate soul calibur/re-corrupted it (since soul cali was original a fragment of edge)
What is soul calibur "infected" soul edge?
Two being with sticks wedged up in their glutes?

I think one infecting the other would always end up being a bad thing, since Calibur wants the world in crystal? There would be no stopping it, I think.
