Corruo, Bridge
Sephis was exchanging brief, feigned pleasantries with the Grand Admiral when something tugged at the back of his mind. It wasn't a sudden reliving of memory, nor any physical force nagging at his full head of hair, but a teasing, grasping use of the Force. Somewhere on this ship, someone had just tried to launch a powerful Force Push. Their force of will probably would have crushed the fuselage of a starfighter.
The follow-through, though... Was non-existent. You had this momentum, see. And you had this expectation of impact... The sensation was like watching a wrecking ball swing towards a building. The weird part being that nothing happened.
"Thank you, Grand Admiral," Sephis said, turning away from the old man. "It's always a pleasure..."
Sephis was already moving toward the turbolift. He'd know it if it had been his master trying to send that Force Push. That was most certainly not his master. Sephis needed to investigate this right away. If that flicker of the Force was a Jedi, then Sephis needed to attend to it immediately.
Worse yet, though, Sephis feared, if that flicker of the Force was a Sith, then his time with Ensis might be up.

Naboo
He doesn't even flinch, though the words do hurt. He's not surprised, really, because Isani always did have a thing for wielding words like daggers, but the twisting of the blade is new even for her. He reigns it in again and takes a few more steps forward. She could kill him now, before he could even blink he'd be dead if she chose to end it, but he doesn't think she will - part of him even doubts she can. He's not the same boy he was years ago under her.
He looks at Sam again, though his attention is always fully on Isani. Grand Master Sam is how he met this woman, though he hadn't pictured her on her knees before. She's different too, but not cold. Both of the women before him have been gone for years, but if Isani had been here before he would have known for the same reasons he knew when she arrived. Sam looks like she's been here longer.
Kennero dismisses Sam for the moment, because from what he can sense from her mind she's in no place or position to affect what happens between Isani and himself - only the two of them for that. His eyes catch a brief shine from her collar bone, and he spots it - a silver A. He flinches then, because he knows there's only one think that A can stand for.
"Well, you know me. Great expectations." He says, deciding against mentioning the A. She could deny it, but as long as she wears that necklace he'll know that she's keeping a part of herself alive - the part that would care.
"So, what, you show up out of nowhere, alive, and I'm not at the top of your 'people to see' list? They didn't teach you bad manners in hell, did they?" It's a bit harsh, but he knows his Master is strong enough to handle it.. plus, she started it.

And then, partway through Kennero's idiotic drivel - in a flash - it's the fury that's her buffer rather than the apathy.
"You are annoying me," Isani says harshly, and her saber finds her way into her hand. It's unlit, but her thumb ghosts over the activation button itches eagerly to press down (to show her little padawan what the red of blood looks like when it's contained within a blade). "You have about a second to clear out before I attack," she gives him warning.
Then she pauses - and apathy's back, but the fury's done it's work. When she speaks again her voice is cold again, emotionless. "I won't be attacking you though, dear little Padawan. I wonder, where is your darling Mina-Armina, Kennero? I hear you two are engaged. It's a good thing you never stray too far from each other."

Corruo, Turbolift
Morbella flinched at the anticipation of a force attack, and raised her blaster again - not to shoot the girl, because of that she was positively certain it would be a bad idea (for now) - but the hit never came. She felt it, she knew she did, but whatever was supposed to happen didn't.
"Damnit!" She swore, panic rising in her. If she'd sensed it then someone else had sensed it too. It was just a matter of time now.
More out of desperation than anything else, she reached over the blonde to the lift controls and hit the emergency stop. The lift acquiesced with a slight jarring motion, and the lights switched to emergency back-up.
"We have about six minutes." She said, more to herself than to the blonde. There were a number of turbolifts on a space-vessel the size of the Corruo, so chances were good that the stop of the lift would go unnoticed until maintenance did a check - right?
This time she spoke directly to the blonde, and she made sure that the woman knew it by taking one knee to be face to face. Her blaster was back in her holster (again, for now.) "Where were you going?" Morbella doesn't reason aloud normally, and she doesn't need to now to know that if this blonde attacked a Sith-Naval Officer on sight she wasn't a friend to that officer - which made her a friend of Morbella's. My life is really screwed up, Bella added silently, waiting for the blonde's answer.

Naboo
Kennero doesn't think that his Master knows what extent he will go to make sure that Mina never, ever, suffers while he is alive to prevent it. It's he that doesn't care now, that he's annoying her or that she wants him to think that, because all it means to him is that he still means enough to annoy her. She can't just dismiss him the way she'd like to.
"So you have been keeping tabs. I can't tell you how much that means to me." Most of what he says is sincere, but the sarcastic attitude is not. At the mention of Mina his senses flare like a net and he senses her - how could he have not sensed her before this - but he doesn't react visibly. To let Isani know that her taunt drew even a little blood would be to invite the wound that follows. Mina is a Knight, as is he, and she won't wander into a fight.
Just the same, he does send a reassuring nudge her way to let her know he's alive - and not to hurry. "What brought you to the surface after all this time. Why now, and why her?" He really wants to know.

Mina feels the nudge but she had already burst into the scene by then, tearing through waist-high flowers to get to Kennero's side -- only to find him physically fine, though emotionally wounded. Mina was Master Kigarin's Padawan; she knows Isani is deadly with her words, and her signature is dark again. The knight doubts this Sith will pull any punches, not for Kennero or anyone. She reaches for Kennero's free hand (not his saber) and squeezes it before letting go quickly - she can't hold him down if it turns to a fight.
"Grandmaster Sam?" is somehow the first thing out of her mouth though, and suddenly she feels... well.
Color rushes to her cheeks and Mina nearly swallows her tongue with confusion and something else.

"Why not?" Isani asks blandly, and then -- "Oh look, she's here. Your fatal weakness - you'd best cut your heart out if you plan on facing off against me," the Sith informs Kennero levelly. Because Isani's was, and now she has nothing to lose and is all the stronger for it. (But it hurts like hell.) "Your master was in many ways a student - she had not half of my strength, Kennero."
And then Knight Rahl bursts into the scene, with a loving touch for Kennero and a surprised "Grandmaster Sam?" for the near-forgotten amnesiac.
"Mina-Armina," Isani says, mocking Kennero's pet name for his knight. "What, no greeting for -- me?"
There was a pause there - a catch; a taunt about Mina's dead master not spoken. (A pulled punch.) Isani's lips press into a thin line and she makes up for the lack of the twist of the knife with a powerful Force Push. It comes from the side, knocking the knight into Kennero and then Isani draws on the Force and rips a hole in its fabric -- and Force Travels away.

Naboo
Kennero's saber is in his hand the moment that he feels Mina slip her own into his free one, though he hasn't lit it yet, either. He's ready to though, in a moment's notice if he senses Isani so much as twitch towards Mina. It's not something he wants, it's something that he's fighting desperately to doubt, but it's a reality that the past five years have taught him to accept. People died.
But not Mina.
Not Isani either, apparently, or Sam.
Five years doing wet work based on information fed to Mina and himself from an operative they'd never known, and missions that couldn't be confirmed or denied, almost always with a bloody ending. That was what he'd been doing for five years - what had Isani been doing? He doubted she'd say, and now was beyond asking.
"I am happy you're alive, Master." He says calmly, accepting that his feelings for her do not need to conflict with the possibility of his fighting her. The woman before him now is not the same woman that had been his Master, and she admits that openly with her referral to herself in third-person.
Then there's a sudden, swift build of force - too swift for him to effectively shield against it - and he drops his saber in time to adjust his balance and catch Mina, though they both nearly fall together. When he looks again, calling his saber back to him, Isani is gone and the part of him that had felt empty without knowing all of these years is even emptier. He holds Mina for a second, burying his face into her long, wavy brown hair for a moment, and then he releases her, his tightly reigned emotions, and everything else he'd been holding - namely, his metaphorical breath.
He looks towards where Sam sits still, calm as before, and it's all he needs to communicate to his love that now their attention was called to elsewhere. He'd have to take his verbal lashings for deceiving Mina later.

Rikka had set an officer to tail Eccen after the com came in from her 'dear friend', and set her own course towards Naboo where she lingered. Rikka doesn't know why, but she fully intends on learning.
Landing in the bay with her ship's unassuming ID tags, Rikka makes her way into Theed. When she finds the door, she doesn't bother to knock but opens it and walks in. "You should be expecting her, soon," Rikka informs the house's owner, settling in a chair and waiting for the signature to draw close.

She's knocked into Kennero, who catches her and holds her for a moment before letting go and turning his attention to Sam. His grief and - whatever else he is feeling, Mina can only guess - is all pent up again, and restrained. Mina was sure she wouldn't be able to handle it if Master Kigarin came back from the dead and was Sith ont op of all that... There's no way Kennero is as fine as he seems.
"Grandmaster Sam?" Mina asks, all business now that Kennero is holding it together (for now). For the most part - Mina knows she'll have to pry later, for his own good, because he's not like to bring up the topic himself.

Naboo. --------------------------------
------ The confrontation before her mirrored memories, and Sam sat still watching it unfold, unable to discern memory from reality. Isani's faced blurred from her own to others, and the man that joined him - somewhere Sam recognized him as Kennero Aedos - played as many different roles as the Sith Master did. She watched in a daze as the figures twisted and changed, and their words surrounded her replacing the field of flowers. A cacophony of voices, some low and chanting mantras, other shouting curses, and midst all of them the whisper of a lover in a language she did not understand. A gathering of the Force startled her, shocked her out of her castles in the air and her grey eyes sharpened with new clarity. Isani was gone, but Kennero remained and had been joined by Armina Rahl. Sam remembered them. When she looked up at her name, and a title she no longer felt on her shoulders, she saw the field and the sky again as they were - and the loss settled in. This was not her home, it was no longer even a Sanctuary. It was time to return. " Mina, Kennero.. " Sam struggled for words, for what could one say after being pulled from the only peace they'd ever known? " It's good to see you." She said finally. It wasn't a complete truth, but it wasn't a lie, either. Shakily, still disoriented by the day's events, she got to her feet before the Jedi Knights. -------- [ •°o.O ♫ ♬ ♭ O.o°• ] --------

Ithor - Tafanda Bay
She laughed at his remark, even if he couldn't see it. She always felt comfortable with him around.
It didn't take long for her to return, holding two cups of caf which she put them down on the table, taking a seat across from him.
"Well then..." She began, folding her hands together as she peered over to him with a smile. "How have you been?"
She knew he probably came for a specific reason, some job or whatever. But she figured she wouldn't to ask about it, it would be nice just to talk for now and he'd eventually bring it up himself.

Ithor, Tafanda Bay
Kal took a sip of his caf, regretted it immediately when his tongue burned, and set his mug down quietly on the table without complaint. He leaned forward slightly, one gloved hand still wrapped around the mug of caf and the other resting idly on the table. Kal had a blaster wound in his shoulder right now. That's how he's been. Daesha deserved better than that, though. The hit wasn't her fault, and Kal came here for help and kindness, not so he could drive Daesha away.
"I've been great," Kal said, choosing to focus on the events prior to his decision to arrive here. "Bounty hunting isn't too difficult when you've got the Force on your side."
Kal smiled, and peered down at his caf again. The mug was still very warm. Kal decided he'd try to take a sip later.
"I've been doing some work for one of the Hutt clans, lately," Kal continued. "The Anjiliac clan has this group of mercenaries that it usually uses to take care of some their menial dirty work. When they fail, they send me after them to retrieve them. It's really easy. They're dangerous as a group, but when you catch either one of them alone, it's easier than deflecting a blaster bolt. Plus, the credits pay my bills, so I don't mind dragging their sorry exhaust vents back to Hutts, y'know?"
Kal glanced down at his caf and took a sip of it to wet his tongue. It was still hot, but more tolerable this time. Kal set the mug down.
"What about you?" Kal asked. "What have you been contributed to Ithor, so far?"

The woman hands her a short message when she makes her way into the house in Theed. E., Confirmed is the message, verbally delivered, and Isani pauses. Eccen, Kal. What brought you to the surface after all this time. What had? The past...
But Isani wants to be done with the past. She's been existing these past five years, but it's about damn time she started living; unhooking the necklace from her throat she presses it into the woman's hand. "Get this to Jedi Knight Armina Rahl before she leaves the planet, will you, my lady?" Isani requests caustically.
"What's that you're doing now?" a voice asks from behind her.
Isani turns to meet Rikka Mord with a half-smile for the knight. "Cutting out the heart," Isani replies cryptically.
"Oh, I've cut out a few myself back in the day," Rikka replies with a grin. "No metaphorical ones, though."
Isani's smile is cold and wry. "Nevermind that - I assume you know where my restless friend is?"

The Corruo - Turbolift
"We have about six minutes."
Carefully she opened her eyes to glance at the woman. What did she mean by that? What was going to happen in six minutes? Why didn't she shoot? She was utterly confused about what was going on and the woman getting closer to her didn't help her relax either. Instead she completely tensed up.
Her eyes darted away, immediately looking for the whereabouts of the blaster she previously had held in her hand, only to find the woman had put it away again. She was still holding her breath when she spoke again.
"Where were you going?"
She raised a suspicious brow. It seemed to be an actual question, not a reprimand. Carefully she looked back to meet Morbella's gaze with curious blue orbs, only to find that she didn't seem to hold any hostile intentions towards her. Should she regret having tried to attack her now?
"I..." She hesitated momentarily, she wasn't really sure herself, come to think about it. "I had a room on this ship... somewhere." She said. She was pretty sure she remembered that correctly. "I just wanted to find some clothes. Wasn't I supposed to?"
She clutched the large flag tightly, almost as if she wanted to disappear underneath it as she pulled her legs up close. "Why am I here?" She asked, eyes nervously darting around the lift in the hope of some exit magically popping up. "I want to be away from here."
