Lilly heard Suki and tried to calm a bit, but she still squirmed in the leather interior. Leighton sighed at her message. He hopped in the car, sitting there for a moment, then took Lilly's head and forced it to the dashboard. Lilly flew back in the chair, unconscious, with a small knot on the middle of her forehead. Leighton sighed and revved the engine, and did as he was told. He began backing out of the alley, and sped past Suki in his dream car.

Suki jumped off the bike, revving the engine to signal Leighton. Landing in the trunk, Suki slammed it shut and pushed the backseat in. Crawling out, Suki saw Lily. "Damn." Was all she could say.

Leighton laughed at Suki's reaction. He roared the engine for play and then went faster. They were back in Suki's garage within a few seconds. Leighton carefully pulled in the car, making sure when they open the doors it wouldn't hit the wall. He took the keys out of the ignition slowly, and smiled to himself, pleased with the car.
Leighton carried Lilly into the house and carefully lay her on the same couch. He looked at the knot on her head that now was turning red. "Oops." he said with a shrug.

Suki laughed hard, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Very effective. And a lot of enthusiasm." Sitting on the love seat across the room, she took her hair down and threw her jacket on the floor. "Keep the car by the way. It suits you, and you cracked the dashboard." Suki said to Leighton, smiling widely as she kicked off her shoes.

Leighton laughed with her. Maybe it was a bit cruel, but he is a demon after all. He perked up at her offer. "No way! Thanks!" he smiled widely. She's tricking you, Leighton! Please! Trust your own brother! Leighton scowled. "I did." he mumbled.

Suki caught his scowl. "You okay there?" Suki asked, sitting up right. Throwing her knife at the wall, Suki stood and walked up to Leighton. "What's wrong?" Her eyes flashed with worry.

Leighton snapped back to reality. He looked up at her. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine." he ran his hand through his jet black hair. He looked over at Lilly, who lie with her mouth open and eyes closed. "I must have got her good." he smirked.

Suki glanced at Lily and laughed. "Yeah, I guess so." Smiling, Suki took Leighton's hand and pulled him towards the basement door. "I have something I want to show you."

Leighton smiled and let her take him. No, Leighton! Don't fall for it! Riku screamed over and over at him. Leighton didn't listen. It couldn't be true.

Suki opened the door and flicked the light on. Finding a dusty bookshelf in the back, Suki let go of Leighton's hand and climbed onto the second shelf. "Being short has it's disadvantages." Suki laughed, reaching the top shelf and grabbing a box. Jumping down, Suki opened the box and took out a piece of paper. "I think this is you from when you were younger." It was a photograph of a teenage boy, with the same eyes and smile and inky black hair. "I take pictures when I can, and these are my favorites. But this one means a lot to me specifically." Suki whispered, placing the box of pictures on the ground.

Leighton looked around the basement. It looked as if it hadn't been used in awhile.
Leighton sat down with the box. He looked at the photograph Suki was showing. He let out a breath. "Where did you get that?" a pained look filled his face.

Suki placed the picture in the box. "I'm sorry.... And I don't remember." Suki sat with her back against the bookshelf, regretting showing Leighton the picture. 'I'm so stupid....' Suki told herself, hoping Leighton wouldn't listen in. She pushed the box away with her foot, wanting it to be as far away as possible. Looking at the wall opposite of her, she saw a dusty rack filled with knives. "Can we go back upstairs and talk? I don't want to look at my past right now." Suki whispered, looking away from from Leighton and the wall behind him.

Leighton looked down at the dusty floor for a few moments. With out a word, he stood and jogged up the creaky stairs. As he came to the living room, he discovered Lilly was up, because she was not on the couch. "What the?" he walked over to the couch, then looked around the room. "Lilly!" he called out.
Moments later, Lilly came into the living room from the kitchen with a plate of chocolate chip cookies. "What?" she said with a half smile. Leighton let out a sigh of relief.

Suki quietly followed, but not after running her hand over a steel blade. "I forogt, you have to eat." Suki laughed.

Lilly giggled. "I'm sorry for raiding your kitchen." she said as she sat criss cross on the couch. She almost offered Leighton and Suki a cookie, then thought. Lilly took a big bite from the first gooey cookie and slowly chewed. For some reason the taste brought her to feel peaceful, maybe because it reminded her of her mother cooking.
Leighton smiled out of relief. He watched Lilly as she chewed. "It's strange how she's taking this so well. Something isn't right. She must be dying inside." Leighton thought. He concluded that she wasn't the person to show her feelings, just as he was.
