Going inside the cave, Jack managed to scavenge some discarded dried wood and lit it on fire. While the flame was getting bigger, Jack managed to cover the entrance with rocks, leaves and the like to reduce the chances of enemies to see the fire. With a nod, jack came back to the dear, summoning up a knife in his hand, and skinning it, taking out the proper organs, draining out the blood, etc. When he was confident that it was ready, Jack placed the pieces of deer over the fire. "Should be ready in a bit, in the meantime, we should relax". With that said, Jack leaned his back against the rock, letting the smell of smoked deer fill his nostrils.

Darion sat down and waited patiently for the food to be done."So you can make weapon's with your energy?I guess I should have figured." he said as he started drawing lines on the ground.He was bored at the moment. he just wanted to find the Wendigo and get this done and over with.

Jack simply shrugged his shoulders at the statement. He really didn't care anymore if Darion knew what his style was. Under a normal circumstance he would but Darion was his much needed ally in this damned forest. He looked at the fire, enjoying its warmth. He stared at the meat, it was being cooked quite nicely, in fact, one part of it was pretty much done. Getting the knife back in his hands he cut off the piece, cut it in half and handed a piece to Darion saying, "Eat up. Like you I want to leave as soon as possible".

Darion grabbed the cooked meat from Jack and sniffed it, venison had a different smell to it but he couldn't complain.Darion took a bite and was about to talk, but then he remembered his manners, he finished what he had in his mouth and then spoke."So, how close do you think we are to finding this Wendigo?" Darion then thought back to what Gunner said,"Also, I recall Gunner saying we had to get it's acknowledgement or acceptance or something...What do you think he meant? "

Jack was realistic with Darion. "He gave us no directions, no map....just a cryptic explanation. It could within a day to a few months before we find any sign of him". The rest of the deer, Jack noticed was cooked. Already finished with his small piece Jack tore off a large chunk and started diving in. "Those men..that we saw earlier", Jack swallowed his food, "They were obviously apart of a social tribe...the one who were looking for...those men might have a connection to are target. Course they are long gone by now...but maybe when we get the chance, we should follow them, see if they go anywhere else besides the lake they went into.....of course this all going off speculation". Jack continued eating.

Darion finished his food and shrugged."I don't know...Maybe we might get lucky and find him without risking our lives." he said as he stretched his arms and legs out. Hopefully they would find their target soon.

As Jack proceeded through the thick brush he made a sudden stop. As he came out from the bushes with Darion in tow, Jack viewed a swampy marshland. If he took another step he would go head first into the murky water. "Hey Darion.....look.....more swamp". Jack rolled his eyes muttering under his breath over and over again, <******** great".

Darion opened his eyes and glared at the swampy water."What the ********> Darion looked around and sighed."I mean I could make some patches of ice to walk on,but I can't guarantee that I won't run out of energy half way..." Darion looked at the water and groaned as another thought came to mind."Those tribes men could still be in there waiting for us...I mean they could have some freaky Genetic Enhancement that once they touch liquid they turn to muck." Darion sighed as he tried to see the other end of the swamp but only saw mist.

Thinking about their situation, Jack began to process all the possible solutions to their predicament. Sighing, he realized they didn't have many options. At least they had a full stomach though, cause no matter way they looked at it, some form of work was going to be involved. So half heartedly, Jack began to list the various solutions to there problems. "The way I see it, we do several things. First we can try your suggestion, but you have already pointed out the downside. Second, we can try and it tough it out by walking around the marsh...but that could take hours..possibly days depending on how big this marsh is....plus there is the possibility that we will run into even more things that wants to kill us if we decide to go that route. Finally, we can try and cross the swamp a bit more traditionally. We can build a makeshift raft out of the wood around here. Giving the enviroment, it would be extremely easy to do so....but once again, we run the risk of running into this underwater breathing savages". Jack paused....."What do you think"?

Darion liked the idea of a raft, but it had to be big enough to hold more then just the two of them."The raft will do, We will need it big enough though so we can hold our on the the enemy decides to take a drop on us." He said as he looked around."Okay,we can use your little Hatchet skill to cut down trees and I can freeze the vines we're going to use so they can't brake easily." Darion grinned for a moment."If we do get attack I'll carry you on my back and we can run on my Ice with out you falling behind.You got any back up abilities that can make you walk on water?"

"No, but I got something that can help me climb. There are trees sprouting out from the water so if I get in trouble I can just scramble up one". With that said Jack began cutting down trees, and gathering supplies to build a raft. He hoped Darion was doing the same.
