Albaine: *wanders into the clearing with Evan*

Clare: *waves at Albaine* ^^

Albaine: *waves back* Hello.

Evan: *wiggles* =D

Clare: Hello. *smiles at Evan* And who is this?

Albaine: His name's Evan.

Evan: ^^

Clare: Hello Evan. And how are you?

Evan: *is fine* ^^

Albaine: *recalls that Clare can communicate with eggs*

Clare: *smiles* That's good. Have you made any friends?

Evan: *thinks, and counts Shino and Chally as friends, wiggles* ^^

Albaine: *feels almost like he's listening in on a telephone conversation*

Clare: Two already? You must be getting out quite a bit.

Evan: *agrees, but likes being able to go out and about*

Albaine: *following the conversation using Clare's responses as a guide*

Clare: You don't find it tiring at all?

Evan: *doesn't think so, likely because he usually winds up napping at some point*

Albaine: *wonders if he's bringing him out too much*

Clare: Well, naps are good for someone your age, keeps you rested for running your parents ragged all other times.

Evan: ...? *wonders about the plural since he doesn't have a second parent*

Albaine: *a bit amused at the ragged comment, thinking that it'll likely be true*

Clare: Oh, just your dad then?

Evan: *wiggles a yes* =D *getting a bit tired since it is late*

Clare: Oh, is it past your bedtime?

Evan: *guesses so?*

Albaine: ...I should probably establish a bed time at some point.

Clare: *smiles teasingly at Albaine* No bedtime? How very lax. You're going to turn him into a nightowl.

Albaine: If anything he's going to turn me into a nightowl. I'm essentially nocturnal. *doesn't really mind the idea since he used to have a "normal" sleeping schedule as a kid*

Evan: *snuggles and heads off to sleep*

Clare: *puzzles her way through that conversational knot* How early does Evan get up?

Albaine: It varies. Usually before 12 though.

Clare: *whistles softly* A normal schedule. Never thought I'd actually met someone who kept it.

Albaine: *shrugs* My schedule changed a few times. At first I had a normal one, then I became nocturnal. I changed into a night owl for a couple of years, but when I came here I reverted back to being nocturnal.

Clare: *shakes her head* Quite the schedule change.

Albaine: *shrugs a bit* I don't think it's too dramatic. Not over a 300 year lifespan anyway.

Clare: *nods* That would average it out a bit.

Albaine: Don't some humans wind up having to switch between working at night and working during the day too? *guessing that because of this the average human might wind up changing more over a shorter period of time*

Clare: *nods, grinning wickedly* I have heard that it is most unpleasant, sudden switching.

Albaine: I don't even think you get a little while to adjust to it beforehand either. You just have to switch. Must make the first day on the new shift tiring.

Clare: *nods* One would think.

Albaine: Glad I didn't have to deal with it.

Clare: *smiles* I would be as well.

Albaine: *can't really think of anything more to say*

Clare: *unfortunaterly, can* so, how are you dealing with having a child?

Albaine: A bit better than I thought I would, to be honest.

Clare: Always good to be so. It's normal to be afraid of failure in such situations, though it is good that you are also becoming accustomed to it quickly.

Albaine: Well, he's an egg at the moment. I'm not really sure what he'll be like as a kit. I'll definitely need more patience for that experience.

Clare: Indeed you shall, but I've no doubt you'll discover it.

Albaine: *nods, a little bit thankful that someone thinks he'll do alright as far as patience goes* Well, I should probably get going. Have a good night. *waves and heads off home*

Evan: *still asleep in Albaine's arms*

October 29th

Nek: <-.-> *Debating whether this or the Tinker Bell outfit is worse* ... *Decides it doesn't matter so long as she isn't put into the grass skirt*

Albaine: *wanders out, carrying Evan*

Evan: =D

Nek: *Trying to figure out how to cover up her stomach* This sash needs to be thicker! D<

Albaine: *spots Nek and half waves*

Evan: *wiggles*

Nek: *Too busy fiddling with the sash to notice Albaine's wave*

Albaine: *not going to sneak up on her*

*gives him a good shove using my god-mod powers allowed over my own characters* >D

Albaine: *shoved over* ..the heck? *glares at Sara*

Evan: *so glad Albaine didn't drop him* O_O

Nek: *Jumps in startlement at Albaine suddenly speaking next to her* Gah! *Teeters for a moment before falling over* Don't do that!

Albaine: Sorry. *tilts his head* Your human change your costume again?

Evan: *decides that he's gonna be still and listen* =)

Nek: *Crosses her arms over her stomach again and stands up, pauses, then quickly dusts herself off before crossing her arms again* Yes, though this one is not much better... stare *Hasn't noticed Evan yet*

Albaine: Looks...cold. Good thing it's not Winter.

Nek: *Nods* If it starts snowing and she doesn't let me have my clothes back I'll blame her if I get sick >/

Albaine: Snow this early? *doesn't really think that's likely* Well, if it does hopefully you won't sick.

Evan: *wonders what snow is*

Nek: It's already snowed three times in my human's 'Minnesota' <-.->

Albaine: Huh. *wonders if he should start bringing a blanket for Evan* Well, it's unlikely to snow today.

Nek: Unlikely, eh? *Eyes the fake confetti snow* Stupid humans... *Waves her sword at the fake snow* Go away!

Dandruff snow!

Albaine: *wipes off the confetti that landed on him and eyes the stuff on the ground* ...Sara should clean this up.

Evan: *wiggles, wondering what's happening*

Nek: *Gives her sword one final wave at Sara before lowering it* Dandruff? What is dandruff? *Has another word for it in her world*

Albaine: *isn't quite sure how to explain it* Dandruff is the white powdery stuff that forms on your scalp.

Evan: *wonders what snow is again*

Nek: *Thinks for a moment* Ah, hairdust? But hairdust isn't white... *In her world it's usually the color of the hair, I could explain why, but it'd take a while and put me in a 'complicated explanation of everything' mood XD* Unless, it's someone with white hair throwing it at us?

Albaine: Well, I guess it's like hairdust then. Dandruff is usually white.

IT'S DEAD SKIN FLAKES!!

Nek: Dead skin flakes? *Quickly brushes the confetti off of her* That's not what hairdust is! Ew, you humans have dead stuff coming from your heads? Ew... *Shakes the confetti out of her hair*

Albaine: *blinks* ...you do know that you're brushing off little bits of paper and not dandruff, right?

Evan: *a bit amused*

Nek: Yeah? *Inspects the bits of paper and sighs with relief*

Albaine: *nods* I really doubt Sara would stoop that low.

Evan: *wiggles* ^^

Nek: She'd better not stare *Brandishes her sword again*

Albaine: So what's hairdust anyway? *a bit curious*

Nek: *Blinks* Hairdust is flakes that come out of your hair when you build up more vitamins and minerals in your body than it can process, if you keep your hairdust it can come in handy when food becomes scarce, it is not dead stuff, but living stuff that you have too much of at some point... *Reaches up to scratch her head, forgetting about her exposed stomach for the moment*

Albaine: Oh. Okay.

Evan: *wiggles* ^^

Nek: Yes... *Looks for a subject change*

Albaine: Well, Halloween's almost here. *thinking that Nek'll be a bit happy that she'll likely get her clothes back soon*

Evan: *wonders what Halloween will be like*

Nek: It is... *Counting down the moments until Neko will give her her clothes back* Have you found out what your human is going to make you wear, yet?

Albaine: Not yet.

Nek: The humans don't seem to be doing much beyond costumes for this Halloween thing, I thought they usually did more?

Albaine: They usually decorate and take children out to gather candy from the neighbors' houses as far as I know. That's what they do where I come from.

Nek: Ah... *Doesn't have Halloween in her world, at least, not any holiday similiar to it that she knows of, but she doesn't really know of too many holidays in general*

Albaine: I think there are parties too, but people throw parties for pretty much anything.

Nek: Why are they so obsessed with parties?

*Pokes Nek*
You'll be getting a party this year, Miss big 3-0 >D

Nek: I refuse to feel old <-.-> And I refuse to have a party! D<

*Skips off, singing loudly and off-key*
March 13~! Nek's 30th Birthday party~! Come one, come all~!

Nek: ...Someday I will kill that human...

Albaine: Because people want an excuse to get together and act crazy. Not that humans here need that excuse.

Nek: Everything is an excuse for them to go crazy... *Notices her clothes again and crosses her arms again*

Albaine: I think their excuse is breathing. -_-

Evan: *wiggles*

Nek: That seems beleivable <-.->

Albaine: *nods*

*contemplates* Hmmm, I suppose that could work. 3nodding Albaine'd be very mad at me though. *goes over and gives Albaine a good shove* ninja

Albaine: *stumbles over a bit, but is likely not going to drop it*

Nek: Watch it! *Jumps forward to snatch what looks like a falling egg* St-stupid humans!!! *Freezes, unsure of what she just did*

Albaine: *glares at Sara* The hell was that for? stare *at Nek* Thanks?

Evan: O_O *a little bit scared of the sudden descent, but is glad he was caught*

Nek: Uh... *Stares at the egg* Uh... *Blinks*

Evan: ^^ *avoids wiggling since he doesn't know Nek and is a little scared of being dropped*

Albaine: *hides his amusement at how dumbfounded Nek appears to be and gives her another moment to give Evan back on her own*

Nek: Uh... *Sort of clings to the egg, afraid of dropping it, yet trying to hand it back to Albaine so she can run away*

Albaine: I'll take him back now. *holds his arms out to take Evan back*

Nek: Uh... Right... *Still trying to hold the egg out while clinging to it*

Albaine: *takes hold of Evan and waits for Nek to let go*

Evan: *wonders if a wiggle will help*

Nek: *Tries to pry her arms off the egg, still afraid it will fall because she lets go of it* Let go... *Telling herself to* Just... *Loosens her fingers* Let... *Loosens her palms* Go... *Loosens her arms and lets them drop to her sides*

Albaine: *gets a better grip of Evan after she lets go* Thank you.

Evan: *snuggles* ^^

Nek: Uh-huh... *Turns to run away and find a nice deep cave to hide in*

Reina: -flies at Nek but misses her, landing between her and Albaine-

Nek: *Falls down at the sudden appearance of Reina flying through the air and turns her head back to look at her* Reina?!

Reina: -angry eye twitch then glares at Pixi till she hears Nek- Hi ^^ -looks over at Albaine- And... hi?

Albaine: *blinks and quickly steps back from the namir who just landed in front of him and waves* Hello?

Nek: *Still sprawled on the ground looking back at Reina* ...

Reina: -gets up, notcing the egg- What a cute egg. And Nek... What are you wearing? Your stomach is showing... aren't you going to get cold?

Albaine: *just nods and observes the conversation*

Evan: =D *likes being called cute*

Nek: *Sits up and glares at Reina* That's what I was telling the humans when they put me in this ridiculous outfit! D<

Edit:: Reina: -pets the egg gently then looks back at at Nek- o3o Sounds Aweful. My human hasn't said anything about this holiday.

Nek: *Mutters and crosses her arms in front of her stomach again* Lucky...

Albaine: *raises an eyebrow and moves away a bit more after she pats him* No offense, but I don't know you that well.

Evan: ^^

Reina: Sorry... not used to seeing eggs ^^;; But I can understand... I adopted... more like found a small pokemir the other day ^^ -looks over at Nek- At least it doesn't look bad.

Nek: How does this not look bad?! I could freeze to death in this thing! *Points to the little sash* This is not weather appropriate! *Griping*

Albaine: Ah. *nods at Reina, and again isn't going to admit that the outfit looks better than the Tinkerbell one*

Nek: *Turns red* ... *Walks off into the forest to find her cave again*

Albaine: *waves goodbye to Nek*

Reina: -blinks- It was nice to meet you.... Nek's friend? and little egg <3 See you later.

Albaine: Albaine. I'm an acquaintance. *waves* Night. *heads off home with Evan sleeping in his arms*

November 22nd

Evan: *curled up in a blanket, nice and cosy* ^^

Albaine: *reading a book, enjoying the peace that he full well knows is temporary*

Evan: ... *wiggles a bit, feeling a little bit restless all of a sudden, and rolls himself onto the floor*

Albaine: *ear twitches at the sound, and looks over at Evan* ...? You're up late...for you anyways. *puts his book down and picks Evan up*

Evan: =D *wiggles a bit more, then hatches from his egg*

Albaine: *blinks, and is left at a bit of a loss for words* Uh...hi?

Evan: *smiles widely* Hi. ^^ *snuggles into Albaine's arms, and looks around curiously at his surroundings*

Albaine: *lightly hugs Evan, slowly getting used to Evan being hatched though still isn't sure what to say* ...happy to be out of your shell?

Evan: *pauses from his visual exploration to look back at Albaine* Uh-huh! biggrin *thinks* It's...light?

Albaine: *nods* I would imagine so. I doubt any light could reach you through that thick shell of yours. *looks over Evan, wondering how much like a "Shinx" he looks*

Evan: *laughs a bit* Uh-uh. xd Could...tell where things were...though.

Albaine: *rather curious about this question of his that never got answered* Remember how you could? *pets Evan's head a bit, thinking that it seemed to be a bit furrier than normal kits but isn't quite sure*

Evan: *purrs, and thinks* ...no. confused *looks up at Albaine* That okay?

Albaine: Yeah. I was just curious.

Evan: *smiles* Good. ^^ *yawns a bit* Sleepy... *curls up in Albaine's lap much like a kitten would, and drifts off*

Albaine: ... *wonders how he's going to transfer Evan from his lap to Evan's bed*

November 25th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *following close behind, looking at things as he walks by*

Nek: *Dozing in a tree since it's raining out*

Albaine: *spots Nek, and debates about saying hello*

Evan: *also spots Nek* ...is she sleeping out in the rain? *whispers*

Nek: *Doesn't really notice Albaine and Evan until her twitch at a whisper, beginning to bring her out of her doze*

Albaine: *nods in response to Evan*

Evan: *whispers again* Guess she doesn't mind bein' wet. xD *looks around at the clearing, enjoying the new sights*

Nek: *Blinks open an eye at the continued whispering and huffs a sigh* So much for my nap... *Hops out of the tree to look around and spy Albaine, not yet noticing Evan* ... *arches a brow, wondering if he was talking to himself*

Albaine: *notices Nek is awake and waves* Hello.

Evan: *wanders a couple feet from Albaine, and dips his paw a mud puddle* ...? >.< *waves the paw around like a kitty with a sock, wiping it on the grass, and stares at the mud puddle again*

Nek: *Walks over* Hey *Eyes are drawn to Evan by the movement and she stiffens* ...There is a kit here...

Albaine: *nods* Yeah, that's Evan.

Evan: *ear twitches a bit, and he looks over at Albaine and Nek* Hi. =) *looks away a bit, staring at the clouds*

Albaine: So how're you? About the same?

Nek: That's the egg-thing? *Inches away a little* Yeah, I haven't been out much again, though Moonlight tried to steal my whip in another place
Nek: You? *Eyeing Evan warily*

Albaine: *nods* Yep, that's him. He hatched the day before yesterday. *changes the subject a bit* I'm alright. There hasn't been much going on lately though. *refering to how quiet Namiah in general has been*

Evan: *looks at Nek's whip, thinking it a bit neat to find someone else who had one other than his dad*

Nek: Ah, so it wouldn't be bad if I dropped by soon? *Watches Evan looking at her whip and crosses her arms, her right over her left so her whip is still showing*

Albaine: *shakes his head* Nah, it shouldn't be. It's been pretty quiet for a while.

Evan: *listening to the conversation* Maybe everyone's busy with something. *doesn't really know what busy means, just recalls the word from before*

Nek: It'll probably get busy as soon as I go back... *Blinks at Evan* The kit speaks...

Albaine: If you're luck is anything like mine, then likely it would. -_- *wonders why Evan speaking is strange* Well, he's not mute.

Evan: *thinks that Nek forgot his name, and tries to be helpful* I'm Evan. ^^

Nek: ...No, I don't suppose he is... *Blinks at Evan* I am Nekoyitolani...

Evan: *tries the name* Neko'itoleni? *frowns and tries again, a bit slower, slightly emphasising the parts he felt didn't come out right* Nekoyitolani. *looks up* It's kinda hard to say. D= Sounds nice though.

Albaine: *just watching, recalling that he didn't say the name for a while after learning it*

Nek: *Frowns a little when he pronounces it wrong, then gives a tiny tiny nod when he gets it right* I suppose you may say 'Nek' instead if you need to...

Evan: *nods* 'kay. =) *thinks a bit about names* I know a kit whose name is Wikvaya, but his dad calls him bean instead. I'm not sure why he does.

Albaine: *raises an eyebrow* Bean? *wonders if this is the same dad Evan was telling him about earlier*

Nek: Why would he call him a peice of food? Does he look edible?

Evan: *shakes his head* I don't think he does. He doesn't even look like a bean.

Albaine: He looks more like a fish than a bean if you ask me.

Nek: Maybe it is a strange custom from his world?

Evan: Maybe. Maybe that's why he won't leave his room unless some birds fly by.

Albaine: *imagines a world where bean is a nickname and everyone shuts themselves up in their room until a group of birds fly past their window* ... *thinks it seems too strange to actually function*

Nek: ... *Almost feels sorry for 'Bean'* I would not like food to be a nickname...

Evan: Me neither. It'd just be strange. Oo

Albaine: *thinks of something* ..wait, isn't his dad that Pokémir with the light on his head? Why would a fish be waiting for birds to fly by to come out? *thinks if anything it'd be the opposite*

Evan: ...don't fish eat fish? o_o

Albaine: I really doubt fish based namrah eat one another.

Nek: *Blinks, wondering how she got drawn into such a strange conversation*

Albaine: *somewhat wondering the same thing, never thinking that he'd have to dispell the suspicion that a fish namir would want to eat another fish namir*

Evan: ...even if he did Wikvaya'd probably find out and get far far away before his dad left the room. *making a joke*

Nek: ... *Backs away from Evan a little more, thinking that he is a strange kit and that he was the one who started the strange conversation*

Albaine: *shrugs*

Evan: *changes the subject when he notes that his joke didn't go over so well* ...how many worlds are there? *wonders since Nek mentioned something that implied there were other worlds*

Nek: That I know of? *Ponders a bit* This world, my world, Albaine's world, Kara's world, Brightshadow and Brambleleaf's world, Nightcrawler's world, and all of the 'alternate universes' of his world, Butterfly's world... *Gets tired of trying to list them, finding out that there are more than she thought she knew of* A lot...

Albaine: *recalls Blazon talking about worlds* There's probably over a billion worlds out there. At least.

Evan: *frowns* how much is a billion?

Albaine: ... *wonders how to illustate it so Evan understands how much* One million is a thousand groups of a thousand, and a billion is a thousand groups of one million.

Evan: *blinks, unable to even visualize that much* ...wow.

Nek: According to Nightcrawler there is the possibility of infinite worlds... Something about parallel universes and alternate timelines... *Didn't really follow the conversation that well, but was actually eavesdropping so didn't care that much at the time*

Ash Ley: *Peeks in, just because she can* |D

Albaine: Our world has parallel universes too, but they form whenever someone makes a decision so there are probably too many to count. Or at lease we call them parallel universes, he might be talking about something different.

Evan: *is so totally lost*

Nek: It was probably the same thing... *Is probably as lost as Evan*

Albaine: Most likely.

Evan: *yawns*

Nek: The kit is tired...

Albaine: *looks at Evan* Yeah, I should probably put him to bed. *picks Evan up*

Evan: *snuggles into Albaine's arms and closes his eyes* ^^

Albaine: Have a good night. *heads off home*

Nek: *Waves and returns to her tree to nap*

December 3rd

Evan: *staring at the snow in wonder as he follows behind Albaine*

Albaine: *hopes Evan doesn't trip*

Nek: *Blinks an eye open at hearing footfalls in the snow*

Albaine: *spots Nek and waves* Hello. How're you?

Evan: It's snowing. =D *knows that Nek knows this, but is just excited about it*

Albaine: I'm alright. *kind of wondering why it isn't busy already, but not complaining*

Evan: I'm good too. =)

Nek: That's... Good... *Wonders what to do with Evan there and fiddles nervously with her whip*

Albaine: *nods* I wonder how cold it'll get here. *trying to get some conversation rolling*

Evan: *rolls up some snow*

Nek: I'm not sure... It never got really cold where I come from, but according to Neko it gets a lot colder in her world...

Albaine: Well, I hope it doesn't get too cold here or I'm going to have to get a new coat. *doesn't really feel like tracking one down*

Evan: *now has a snowball, and wonders what to do with it*

Nek: I'll have to find a cave with a smoke escape for a fire... *Eyes Evan's snowball suspiciously, remembering what Moonlight would no with such balls of snow*

Albaine: Maybe you can hide out there if it gets too busy in the clearing. *indirect reference to pestering from the humans*

Evan: *tilts his head, then sticks a bit more snow on top, kinda like misformed ears* ...? *tries to make them look a bit nicer*

Nek: That would be the plan... *Watches Evan curiously*

Evan: *sticks a nose on it* It's a...something. =D

Albaine: You might want to try to give it a body so it doesn't look so much like something's head fell off.

Evan: Oh! Right. *wonders how to go about doing that*

Nek: *Arches a brow at the 'head fell off' comment and wonders if Evan is now aware that things die* You could stand it in the snow... *Has seen people build a snowman before*

Evan: Stand it in the snow?

Albaine: You can make a body and stick it on. You have to make sure it won't fall off though.

Evan: Oh. *wonders where to start* ... *starts building a small pile of snow*

Nek: *Watches curiously, kneeling to build a pile of her own* ... *Hasn't done this sort of thing before and wondering why she is doing it now* ... *Comes to the conclusion it's because it's something Byrnar would have done and frowns*

Albaine: -helps Evan out with his pile, thinking that constructing a 3rd pile would be silly*

Evan: *notes that two piles are being made* So we just stack them all on, right?

Nek: *Shrugs, eyeing her pile with distaste as it steadily becomes more lopsided*

Albaine: *nods* Pretty much.

Evan: Okay. =) *looks over at Nek's pile, wondering when the piles will be done*

Nek: *Sits back and glares at her pile* ...Grrr... *Not really very artistic*

Evan: *tilts his head at the growl* ...huh?

Albaine: Want some help?

Nek: *Will never admit to needing help unless the humans are somehow involved and even then will not directly ask for it* It does not look very good... *As close as she will come*

Albaine: *kind of understands*

Evan: Hmm... *looks over the pile* It just needs some adjustments. It's not bad. =) *starts to "fix" the pile, not really helping it much*

Albaine: *lends a hand too, since he was the one who brought it up*

Nek: *Sits back and watches them work* ...What's the point to this, anywyas?

Evan: *stops working for a second* Uh...fun? *tilts his head*

Albaine: Yeah, it's just for fun. Well, if you like making things out of snow anyway.

Nek: Oh... *Frowns and crosses her arms, fiddling with her whip again with one hand*

Evan: So what do you do for fun? *pretty much abandoned the snowman for Albaine to finish*

Albaine: ... *wonders how he got stuck finishing what Evan started*

Nek: ...Nothing

Evan: Oh. Okay. *nods as if he understands, but wonders she doesn't do anything for fun* Oh! *suddenly remembers the snowman, and heads over to help out*

Albaine: *a little glad he didn't have to call Evan over to avoid some weird awkard question such as 'why?'*

Nek: ... *Wonders what strange thing they are going to do after the snowman has been put together*

Albaine: *finishes up the snowman*

Evan: *looks at the finished product and laughs a little* It looks kinda silly. xD

Albaine: Snowmen usually do. *rather indifferent toward snowmen*

Nek: ...They are supposed to look silly?

Evan: I dunno. This one does. =)

Albaine: I think they do. It's an opinion, other people might think they don't.

Nek: I see... *Really doesn't*

Albaine: Apparently some people make more complex things out of snow, but I haven't seen it. *just heard that from Blazon*

Evan: Like a tree?

Albaine: I...guess?

Nek: Why would-? *Decides the answer will probably be more ridiculous than she wants to hear* Nevermind...

Albaine: *guesses at the question* Why would someone make something else out of snow? Probably for the challenge, I'm guessing. They do the same thing with sand. *thinks sand makes a lot more sense*

Evan: *thinks about it* ...A tree made out of snow would probably fall down.

Nek: Why do people want to make things out of snow and sand, anyways?

Evan: *hesitates to say the obvious 'fun' reason, and just listens*

Albaine: Like I said, it's a challenge. People make things out of sand that are difficult to make, and they look realistic, like a statute. So, I suppose it's temporary art. Those who like making art make them, and those who like to look at it would come by to see what those people come up with.

Nek: Oh...

Albaine: Make sense?

Evan: *walks over and paws at Albaine's leg, getting a bit chilly*

Albaine: *picks Evan up, thinking that they should probably head back soon*

Nek: *Stands up and uncrosses her arms, then recrosses them with a shiver* It is getting colder...

Albaine: *nods* Yeah...

Evan: *snuggles into Albaine's coat to warm up a bit faster*

Albaine: I'm gonna go take Evan home now. *waves* Have a good night. *walks off home*

Nek: Night *Wanders back to her caves, glad she found at least one with a sheltered side for a fire since she hasn't yet found a cavern with an open top to let out the smoke of an inside fire*

December 4th

Shino: *Wearing a black hoodie and trying her hardest to climb a tree* Nng! *clings to a low branch and wiggles while trying to haul herself up onto the branch*

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: ...? *looks over at Shino's attempts to climb a tree*

Shino: *Just kind of dangles there. Looks over at Albaine and Evan* Hey there!

Evan: Hi! =D *heads over to her*

Albaine: *spots Shino and waves* Hello. *tilts his head a bit, then walks over with Evan* How're you?

Shino: I'm good *Grins down at Evan* How are you two?

Albaine: I'm alright.

Evan: *paws at the tree a bit* Climbing? biggrin

Shino: *Nods and smirks* Yep! *Pauses* Well, working on it

Evan: Yeah, it's kinda hard. Especially if you can't reach any of the branches. D=

Albaine: So how high are you planning on climbing?

Shino: *Drops down from the branch* Not any higher for now. *Grins at Evan* That's when you just need to be able to jump high

Evan: How high can you jump? =D

Albaine: Ah. *looks up the tree for a moment before returning his gaze back to the conversation*

Shino: *Points to the branch she just dropped from* That high

Evan: Neat! biggrin I wonder if I can jump that high... *tempted to try*

Albaine: Only way to find out is to try.

Shino: *Nods* You should try. Though don't be discouraged if you can't, you might be able to do it when you get older.

Evan: Okay. *wanders over near the branch, looking up for a moment to make sure he's not directly under it, crouches down, and leaps upward, failing to grab hold of the branch though comes only a few inches below touching the bottom of it* Aw, missed. xd

Albaine: Good try though.

Shino: Yeah, you almost got it

Evan: *smiles* I'll try again some other time. =D I'll get it then. *a bit determined*

Albaine: *unsure of what to talk about now* Isn't there a holiday of some sort coming up?

Shino: *nods* Christmas is coming up. Daddi says more Namrah might show up.

Albaine: I thought there was. I bet it'll get a bit more crowded in the clearing.

Evan: Christmas? Which holiday is that? =3

Albaine: I think it's the one with the tree people leave presents under.

Shino: *Nods* I think that's it. *Grins evilly* Presents~

Evan: That holiday sounds better than the one where you just eat. xd

Albaine: Looking forward to the presents, I'm guessing? *wondering what to get Evan now that it occured to him*

Shino: Yeah... that one was boring.

Albaine: I don't see the point of cooking enough food for 3 times the number of people you're serving.

Evan: Well, I guess it'd mean that you don't have to cook the next day. confused

Albaine: Assuming that they don't eat all of it. And then sleep the rest of the day.

Shino: We still have a lot left over xP

Albaine: We do too, though the others are slowly getting rid of it.

Evan: Hopefully it'll all be gone before next Thanksgiving. D=

Albaine: It'd be thrown away long before then, so no need to worry about that.

Shino: Yeah, it'd go bad by then.

Evan: What's it like when food goes bad?

Albaine: It smells and looks terrible. It'll make you sick if you eat it too.

Evan: ...eww... D=

Albaine: *nods* I wonder what Christmas will be like here. *mostly wondering what the humans will be up to*

Shino: I don't know, this'll be my first Christmas *Grins* I'm excited

Albaine: It'll be my first Christmas here too. I'm hoping it'll be nice.

Evan: I bet it will be. =D

Shino: Will you have a tree?

Albaine: Most likely. The house usually gets decorated for the holidays.

Evan: Uh, tree? *looks at the tree next to them*

Albaine: *shakes his head* Not that kind of tree.

Shino: Yeah, it's a pine tree or something.

Albaine: *nods* Yep, a pine tree. It's shaped like a cone and has needles instead of leaves.

Evan: Ooooh, neat. =3 And it gets decorated too, right? *assuming*

Albaine: *nods* Yep.

Shino: *Looks around* I have to get home, talk to you guys later

Albaine: *waves* Night.

Evan: Bye! =D *waves too*

December 11th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *looks around*

Kara: *wanders out*

Chalybs: *tagging along VERY close behind her*

Albaine: *spots "Tomoe" and waves* Hello.

Evan: *waves too* Hi! =D

Kara: *waves back, smiles down at Evan* Hello there.

Chalybs: *is being rather shy*

Evan: *smiles, and tilts his head at Chalybs*

Albaine: So how're you?

Chalybs: *hides behind Kara's legs*

Kara: *shrugs* Alright. The human was somewhat preoccupied this past month and unable to steal my curtains.

Albaine: Well that's good.

Evan: *blinks, and decides to sit down and listen in on the conversation*

Kara: *nods* Very. *looks down at Chalybs* Look, he's not going to eat you.

Chalybs: *soft voice* I know . . .

Evan: *laughs and does a very fake sounding "roar"* Rawr! xd

Albaine: *wonders what Chalybs is afraid of* ...so how's he putting up with Winter?

Kara: Surprisingly bad. I thought Fire types were strong against Ice . . .

Chalybs: *smiles slightly at Evan* Rrrr . . .

Albaine: *shrugs* Evan's doing pretty well against Winter. He seems to like the cold, to be honest. I guess every Pokémon is different?

Evan: *playfully assumes a pouncing position* >:3

Kara: Yes, but he's an Electric type, isn't he? Electric Pokemon have no particular anything against Ice.

Chalybs: *somewhat hesitantly assumes same position*

Albaine: ...I should probably look this stuff up. What's he supposed to be strong against?

Evan: *wiggles and pounces toward him*

Chalybs: *shuffles sideways a bit to avoid him*

Kara: *taps her fingers on her thigh* Water and Flying types, I believe.

Evan: *lands on the ground, and shakes his head a bit before getting back up*

Albaine: So birds and fish, pretty much?

Chalybs: Are you . . . alright?

Kara: Mostly, yes.

Evan: *nods* I'm fine! =D

Albaine: Is there anything he should look out for?

Chalybs: Good.

Kara: Ground types, I think.

Evan: *nods* Oh! Did you know there's a holiday coming up where you get presents? =D

Albaine: Ground types?

Chalybs: Presents?

Kara: Like Earthquake. I'd suspect a pun, except I don't believe it translates that way.

Evan: Yeah, presents! Wrapped boxes with stuff inside.

Albaine: ...huh. Alright. I suppose it's a good thing none of the Pokémir seem to want to go around fighting if they can create something resembling an Earthquake.

Chalybs: No, I know what presents are . . .

Kara: And blizzards, tidal waves, solar ray guns . . .

Evan: Well, there's gonna be a holiday coming up where you can get some. biggrin If you're good.

Albaine: Yeesh. And apparently humans can control Pokémon?

Evan: Cool! =D Then you'll probably get presents. I dunno where though. They can't just appear under the tree magically, can they? confused

Albaine: Ten? Ten and controlling all that power... *shakes his head* I hope their parents made sure that those children are responsible enough to handle that.

Chalybs: Well, someone would put them there, wouldn't they?

Kara: The odds on that are rather low, as anyone who has met a bunch of ten year-olds may testify to.

December 14th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing carrying Evan*

Evan: *just enjoying the ride, watching it snow*

Kara: *wanders out*

Chalybs: *tagging along*

Albaine: *waves* Hello.

Evan: Hi! =D *waves also*

Kara: *waves back* Hello. *nudges Chalybs*

Chalybs: *waves shyly*

Kara: About. You?

Chalybs: You'll get better, won't you?

Albaine: I'm alright. Sara's been occupied with some new game she got so she hasn't tried to aggravate me lately.

Evan: *nods* I should. If I practice anyway.

Kara: Well, that's good then. Unfortunately the luster will wear off eventually.

Chalybs: Why wouldn't you?

Albaine: I know it will. I'm just enjoying the break. If I'm lucky she'll immediately pick up the book she also got which should give me an extra day or two. *tries to remember what the book was called*

Evan: *thinks* I don't know. confused Only way I wouldn't get better is if I didn't try.

Kara: And really, what more is there to hope for on that front?

Chalybs: Well, if you are practicing, then you don't need to worry.

Albaine: Not much, that's for sure. It's unlikely that the book will keep her until Christmas, it's too short for that.

Evan: *nods* Yeah. =D Any books I should read when I learn how?

Kara: How long is the book?

Chalybs: Um . . . *thinks* I liked Heidi.

Albaine: *indicates using his hand* About this big. It has something to do with Hitchhikers apparently. *only thing he can recall*

Evan: What's that one about?

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *tagging along*

Kara: *walks in*

Chalybs: *follows after*

Albaine: *waves* Hello.

Evan: Hi! biggrin

Kara: *nods* Hi.

Chalybs: *waves shyly*

Albaine: *looks around* You'd think that with about a week until that holiday coming up it'd be a bit busier around here. *not complaining, just surprised*

Evan: So how're you? =D

Kara: It will probably pick up later.

Chalybs: I'm okay. You?

Albaine: Most likely. Maybe everyone's out looking for gifts to give to their friends and family.

Evan: I'm good. There's a tree in the house.

Kara: Perhaps. At least such panic is relegated to outside our influence.

Chalybs: *tilts his head slightly* A tree?

Albaine: Panic?

Evan: *nods* Yeah, a Christmas tree. It's covered with decorations and silver stringy stuff that I'm not allowed to play with.

Kara: *amused* It is rather last-minute.

Chalybs: *nods* I got the sliver-stuff warning too.

Albaine: Oh, right. They might be worried that whatever they want to get someone will run out. Still doesn't seem like a good cause for panic though.

Evan: Maybe I'll get to play with it after Christmas. ^^

Kara: *shrugs* People are strange.

Chalybs: My human says the silver-stuff can cut your insestines, so should not put in mouth. o3o

Albaine: Everyone's probably at least a little strange.

Evan: Oh, I wouldn't. I just feel like knocking it off the tree. >.>

Kara: Otherwise it'd be rather boring interacting with them.

Chalybs: Oh. That's probably okay then.

Albaine: *nods* Though feigning complete normalcy could probably be useful if you don't want to attract any attention, or be bothered.

Evan: Yeah, but I'd probably have to clean it all up if I did that. xd Somehow. *can't imagine how he'd clean it up save for pawing it into a bag*

Kara: Unless you get one of the persistent ones after you.

Chalybs: You Bambi-eyes an adult into doing it for you. >3

Albaine: I've had a few moments like that. I usually just teleported away if I could.

Evan: Like Dad?

Kara: Yes, it's hard to politely get rid of them.

Chalybs: *looks up at Albaine* He might need more than Bambi-eyes.

Albaine: They'd probably be more of a nuisance here. Where I came from I don't have to worry about being polite to them, I'd likely never see them again. Here you've got a decent chance of running into such people all the time.

Evan: Probably. xd But if I ask nicely enough he might.

Kara: And they'll scold you about it next time they see you, like as not.

Chalybs: *gazes critically at Albaine* Maybe.

Albaine: So in doing so here, you'd make a minor nuisance into an even bigger one...though if you're lucky they'll dislike you enough to not talk to you again.

Evan: How'd you try to convince dad? *tilts his head, curious*

Kara: *snorts* And if you're unlucky, they'll take every opportunity to lecture you on what they perceive to be 'manners.'

Chalybs: *shrugs* Don't really know him well enough.

Albaine: Wouldn't that make them hypocrites?

Evan: *nods* So asking nicely is what I'd do if I wanted him to do something. ^^ Though how do you know which adults you can...uh...bambi eye? *not sure what that means*

Kara: No, they consider it their 'duty' to educate the 'hapless uncultured denizens.' *rolls her eyes*

Chalybs: *considers* Well, it tends to work better on girls . . . *demonstrates the Bambi-eyes*

Albaine: What if they want to be uncultured? There's times when being rude is the best option.

Evan: *tilts his head, immune to the Bambi-eyes* Oh, okay.

Kara: If you want to get rid of someone, yes. But they generally don't see themselves as, hmm . . . warranting that option.

Chalybs: They think it's 'dorable. *nods*

Albaine: I think that deep down they just want an excuse to get on someone's case without feeling guilty about the manners they evidently hold so high.

Evan: And people do stuff for others because of the cuteness?

Kara: *nods decisively* Self-absorbed hypocrites, the lot of them.

Chalybs: *nods* They cannot resist the cuteness!

Albaine: *nods* I'd doubt they'd ever recognize their own hypocrisy. Whether that's a good thing or not I'm not sure. *thinks that someone like that could wind up being a bigger jerk than before*

Evan: Wow. Oo But I'd probably get in trouble for that if Dad told me to do something.

Kara: Either they would realize the error of their ways and gain a measure of humility - unlikely-, or they would become completely insufferable.

Chalybs: Is downside, yes.

Albaine: Not worth the risk in my opinion.

Evan: But I guess it could be useful for something. *not likely to use it, or at least not intentionally*

Kara: Especially when it's much simpler to just avoid them.

Chalybs: Persuasion.

Albaine: *nods* Agreed.

Evan: Yeah. *yawns*

Albaine: I should probably take Evan home now. *picks Evan up and waves* Night.

Evan: *waves* Bye! ^^

December 19th

Shino: *Looks down at the crushed pinecone, then instantly loses interest. Shoves it away and sits back to yawn*

Albaine: *wanders out*

Evan: *follows by hopping in the snow*

Shino: *Smirks when she spots Albaine and Evan. Trots over to them, her tail swishing* Hey!

Albaine: *waves* Hello. How're you?

Evan: Hi! =D

Shino: Alright, curious about this Christmas thing everyone's talking about. What about you two?

Albaine: I'm alright.

Evan: I'm good. ^^

Albaine: *thinks* It's not too far from now. Less than a week.

Shino: I know *Grins and wiggles* I'm excited *Looks to Evan* Hey, got any cool powers yet?

Evan: I can spark a bit if I concentrate. =D I talked to another Pokémir and he was part electric, so he gave me a couple pointers. I'm not good at it yet though.

Albaine: *wonders how many powers Pokémir usually have*

Shino: You'll have to show me when you learn something really cool *Smirks*

Evan: You bet! =D

Albaine: I wonder what Christmas here is like. *guessing it'll be a bit crowded, and hopes that it won't result in some outfit change beyond something warmer*

Evan: What was it like where you came from?

Albaine: Lots and lots of decorations. There used to be singing too, though I never really listened to that much.

Shino: I don't know *Cocks her head* Maybe it'll just be something simple?

Albaine: Might be. It seemed to be more of a family and friends holiday than Halloween was, so I could see it being simple.

Evan: I just hope it's fun. ^^

Shino: I was hoping for excitement really.

Albaine: Just have to wait and see. *guessing that there will be a lot of namrah in the clearing to meet with friends/family for Christmas*

Evan: Think they'll be singing like where you came from? That'd be pretty cool. ^^

Shino: I think I'll be staying home for Christmas

Albaine: I'm not sure what I'll do. *thinking that Sara will probably boot him out into the clearing*

Evan: I might play outside for a while. ^^

Shino: In the snow?

Evan: *nods* Yeah, I like the snow. =D It should still be around then, right?

Albaine: Unless it suddenly gets warmer out, it should.

Shino: It should be. I think it's like some kind of unspoken law that there has to be snow for Christmas. Unless you're from the same place as my Daddi.

Albaine: It depends, though here there'll likely be snow.

Evan: Okay. biggrin Where's your daddy from?

Albaine: Oh, I know Florida. It's a state in the United States.

Evan: The United States?

Albaine: It's a country where I'm from.

Shino: So you and my Dad are from the same place? That's kind of cool

Albaine: Well, almost the same place. I don't know if it's exactly the same.

Evan: *tilts his head*

Albaine: *explains* There's different version of the same planet, even with the same main places. I'm not sure how that works, but that's how it is. Or at least from what I've heard.

Albaine: *nods* Yep. I'm still not sure how they're formed though. *only knows about the parallel universes in his own dimension*

Evan: Sounds neat.

Shino: I wonder how confusing it gets for those that go from dimension to dimension.

Evan: Probably very confusing. @_@

Albaine: I've heard of some people who go around to other dimensions that are vastly different with the intent of just taking some person and tossing them into the world I'm from.

Shino: Sounds mean... and kind of fun. It'd be interesting to see their reactions and if they are able to adapt.

Albaine: *thinks that he could probably get an idea of how they felt* They were probably confused, and if they knew someone sent them there they'd probably feel a bit angry. If they couldn't make it back, or didn't want to go back they'd probably adapt, though depending on what society was like where they came from it might take a while.

Evan: How would they get back?

Albaine: Same way they got there?

Shino: *Nods* The one that put them there might be nice enough to take them back.

Evan: Oh, that'd be nice of them. ^^ And then they would have a story to tell when they got back. biggrin

Albaine: *wonders if the people there would believe the story*

Shino: *Nods* It'd be an adventure *Smirks*

Evan: Yeah! =D An adventure.

Albaine: *has nothing to add*

Shino: *Looks around, then leans over to whisper to Evan* Want to go on one?

Evan: *thinks and nods* Uh huh. biggrin

Albaine: *tilts his head a bit*

Shino: You have to ask your dad first *Nods*

Evan: *looks at Albaine* Can I go on an adventure?

Albaine: .... *thinks about that for a moment* ...sure, as long as you stay on the island and don't stay out too long. *wonders if he'll be able to come along, but figures that would interfere with some sort of individual play thing*

Evan: *smiles* Okay! =D

Shino: Great! *Strikes a pose* Lets find a portal to another world *Glances at Albaine* Just find it, not go through it.

Albaine: *nods* Have fun.

Evan: We will! ^^ *wiggles a bit, excited to go out on an adventure*

Shino: *Starts to trot away from Albaine* Where should we look first?

Albaine: *leans up against a tree and thinks about going home to grab a book to read while waiting*

Evan: *follows after Shino* Where should we look first? biggrin

Shino: *Laughs* Didn't I just ask you that? *Shakes her head* Lets go check in the woods. Portals are usually in dark places *Nods* So they can be disguised.

Evan: *looks a bit embarrassed, but gets over it quickly* That would make sense. 3nodding Would caves work too?

Shino: Yeah, especially a cave. Those can act as shelters for the travelers. *Nods*

Evan: I wonder how you make a portal. Permanent or just temporary. *looking around*

Shino: Probably through magic, though I remember watching a show where they made portals with potions *Pokes her head into a bush, only to have a bunch of snow fall on her head*

Evan: Magic? *thinks* Probably. *laughs a bit* You've got a hat of snow. =D

Shino: *Shakes her head to get the snow off* That crap is cold!

Evan: At least it's not as hard as ice. 'Cause then it'd hurt if it fell on you.

Shino: Yeah, that would hurt like hell *Winces at the thought, then her ears perk when she notices something shining up ahead* Hey, what's that?

Evan: *looks over, squinting to get a better look* I dunno...maybe we found a portal already? =D *starts walking toward it*

Shino: Well that was quick... if it was one *Slows to a stop as they draw closer to see that it's a mirror, half buried in the snow* Not a portal, that's for sure.

Evan: *pokes the mirror* Wasn't there a book or something where people could go through mirrors?

Shino: Through the Looking Glass, aka, Alice in Wonderland. Ever watched the movie?

Evan: Yeah, that one. 3nodding Umm... *thinks* I think I saw a bit of it one time. Is that the one with the playing cards?

Shino: *Nods* Yep, that's the one *Reaches over to pick up the mirror* Not exactly big enough for travel

Evan: *shakes his head* We'd have to shrink to get through there.

Shino: *Taps the glass with her paw* It's solid anyways *Looks around* Wonder if someone dropped it

Evan: Probably. =3 I bet they were confused the next time they needed it and couldn't find it.

Shino: Or maybe they left it out here on purpose. Could be cursed.

Evan: Cursed? O_O

Shino: *Nods* Haven't you ever heard of a cursed mirror?

Evan: *shakes his head* Uh uh.

Shino: Just stuff like, they could bring good luck, or show people stuff they don't want to see *Decides not to mention the stuff like "Bloody Mary"*

Evan: Ohhh...okay. 3nodding I wonder if that's why Dad doesn't really look at mirrors.

Shino: You should ask him *Looks around* What should we do with the mirror?

Evan: Do you think it's cursed? If it is we should probably hide it so it doesn't cure anyone...or would that curse us?

Shino: Don't know *Shrugs* I've already touched it, so I'd be cursed anyways.

Evan: Oh...well, let's go hide it then. *hopes Shino isn't cursed*

Shino: *Takes the mirror in her teeth* Read du way

Evan: *looks around* Hmmm...this way. *heads off towards the right*

Shino: *Follows Evan, trying not to drop the mirror*

Evan: *looks around as he continues on his way, and spots a small tunnel, likely an old rabbit's nest near the roots of a tree* How about here?

Shino: *Sets the mirror down* Are we sure that there's nothing living in there?

Evan: Hm, I'll go check. *crouches down and squeezes into the nest to make sure*

Shino: Be careful down there

Evan: I will! ^^ *continues crawling through the rabbit hole, wondering how far it leads*

Shino: *Peers into the whole* See anything?

Evan: It's kinda dark... *squints* ...? *picks up an object on the ground*

Shino: What? *Cocks her head as Evan goes quiet*

Evan: *puts the object down* I found something. biggrin *picks it back up and starts to crawl back, heading backwards out of the rabbit hole*

Shino: *Steps back so Evan can get out* What is it?

Evan: *sets it down so he can look at it* Looks like a page out of a book.

Shino: I wonder what it was doing down there... *Brushes some of the dirt off the page to look it over*

Quote:
And certainly the glass was beginning to melt away, just like a bright silvery mist.
---& In another moment Alice was through the glass, and had jumped lightly down into the Looking-Glass room. THe very first thing she did was to look whether there was a fire in the fireplace, and she was quite pleased to find that there was a real one, and blazing away as bright ly as the one she had left behind. "So I shall be as warm here as I was in hte old room," thought Alice, "warmer in fact, because there'll be non one to scold me away from the fire. Oh, what fun it'll be, when they see me throught the glass in here, and can't get at me!"

Evan: *looks over the page* Alice? Like from Wonderland?

Shino: Looks like it *Smiles a little* I wonder why it was down there

Evan: Maybe the rabbits thought it'd be warm and comfy. biggrin Or they could read.

Shino: I don't think rabbits can read, normal rabbits anyways... *Leans over to peer into the hole*

Evan: I don't think so either. Not unless somebody can teach them. *looks over the paragraph*

Shino: Can you read? *Continues to peer into the hole while wondering if perhaps it led to Wonderland*

Evan: A little, yeah. I'm still learning.

Shino: Books are fun, but I can never stay interested for long *Sighs* I wish I could fit in there, I'm curious now

Evan: It's pretty dark in there. I found that at the end, or at least I think it was the end. *wonders if a camera would work in the dark, not that they have one*

Shino: Maybe we should come back with a flashlight later?

Evan: Sounds like a plan! biggrin I'm pretty sure there's a flashlight in the house.

Shino: For now, we should get you back to your dad... *Sticks the mirror in the snow by the hole* This will mark the spot

Evan: *nods* Got it. ^^ *starts heading back, following their tracks in the snow as assurance*

Shino: *Falls into step next to Evan*

Evan: *follows the tracks all the way to Albaine, parts ways with Shino, and tells his dad a bit about his adventures*

December 27th

Nek: *Lands in the snow and glares at Neko, then goes to find a tree to camp under*

Kara: *walks out, carrying Chalybs*

Albaine: *wanders out alone since Evan went to sleep early*

Nek: *Eyes Kara and Chalybs* ... *Spies Albaine as well and is somewhat releived that he did not bring Evan with him so she would not have to be surrounded by kits*

Albaine: *spots Nek and "Tomoe" and waves at the two of them* Hello.

Kara: *shifts Chalybs to under her arm and waves back with her free hand* Hello.

Nek: *Half waves back at Albaine*

Albaine: So how are you two? About the same?

Nek: *Simply nods in return to Albaine's question* You?

Kara: *nods* About the same, yes. *pats Chalybs on the head* Unfortunately the snow has made him a bit . . . clingy.

Albaine: *remembers that Chally hates the cold* I would imagine so. *at Nek* I'm alright.

Nek: *Stares down at Chalybs, fiddling nervously with her whip*

Chalybs: *stares doll-like at Nek*

Kara: Sorry to make you uncomfortable, but I can't leave him home anymore.

Albaine: *looks around* At least it's quiet now. *was here secretly a little while before during all the madness before leaving to try again later*

Nek: *Stare turns into a glare* No problem for me...

Kara: . . . Right. *decides to ignore issue* Quiet is a definite plus.

Nek: *Nods in agreement with the quiet statement*

Albaine: *nods* There was some excitement earlier. I'm not quite sure what it was about.

Nek: *Shrugs* Knowing the humans, could have been anything...

Kara: Well, from what I've picked up, there are most likely going to be a few new additions.

Albaine: Oh, sort of the same strange "poof into Namiah" thing that happened a couple months ago?

Nek: *Fidgets nervously again, having a bad feeling at the words 'new additions'*

Kara: *nods* At least if we received one I cannot be saddled with babysitter duty again as of yet.

Albaine: I'd be more worried about any adults that arrive at the house than kids. *figures that kids generally like playing with other children since the 3 kits at the house all play together*

Nek: *Fidgets even more nervously at Albaine's statement*

Kara: True, the adults do always seem a bit . . . touched, perhaps. *grins* I know I certainly must have seemed so.

Albaine: I know I probably didn't make a good first impression. *shugs, since he doesn't care*

Nek: *Simply fidgets*

Kara: *glances side-long at Nek* Do you remember your arrival?

*sneak up behind Nek silently* ...OOOGA BOOGA! twisted

Nek: I- *Is startled by Sara* GAH!!! *Flails and falls backwards* Don'th DO thath! D<

Haha. xd

Albaine: Can't you keep out of conversations? stare

Honestly, I could be worse. razz *leaves*

Kara: *rolls her eyes* Believe me, it could.

Nek: *Nods and glares about in case Neko decides to show herself, as well* Ith could...

Albaine: I know she can be worse. *recalls hearing about one human who forces his male anthros to crossdress on occasion* So what were you about to say?

Nek: *Mutters incoherently for a moment* My beginning experienthe involved my human 'glomping' me and a another namir following me around unthil I finally found a cave tho hide in...

Kara: *frowns in thought* I believe that that was not long after I came here- *blinks at Nek's voice but says nothing*

Albaine: *ignores the lisp* ...glomping?

Nek: *Wouldn't explain even if someone asked* Probably... *Utters a small growl before clarifying the 'glomping' phrase* Thackling... Pounthing... *Can't think of another word to describe it*

Kara: *nods in recognition* Ah, the violent hug.

Albaine: Oh. *frowns, thinking that glomping sounds aggravating and possibly painful*

Nek: *Nods irritably* Yeah... <=x=>

Kara: Is dodging one really that difficult? *has never been glomped before*

Albaine: I don't think it would be if you know one is coming. If you don't it'd be a bit difficult.

Nek: *Simply growls vehementally*

Kara: *shrugs* I've never had a problem with split-second dodges.

Albaine: Depends on my mood. *more prone to being unable to dodge when he's pissed off*

Nek: *Mutters* You do noth have a human like mine...

Kara: And given how you speak of her, I am glad of it.

Albaine: There are a couple humans I'm glad I do not have.

Nek: *Sighs, thinking that getting angry with her human now is just a waste as she has a feeling by the way Neko's been jumping around her that she will have better reason soon enough to get even angrier*

Kara: *smiles slightly* As do I.

Albaine: *wonders what to change the topic to*

*pokes Albaine* Blue moon! Blue moon!

Albaine: *confused* ...what? *doesn't recall there being a full moon today, and doesn't check the calender*

Kara: What was that? *didn't hear properly*

Albaine: The blue moon. It's a 13th full moon in a year. It happens every once in a while. *has no clue why Sara is bringing it up*

Kara: *goers a bit pale* Really? And . . . Why bring this up now?

Albaine: Well, when was the last full moon? If it was at the very start of the month then there's a chance that it just happened to have enough time to complete another cycle before the start of the next month.

Kara: *mutters imprecations under her breath* That it was, so surely it shall.

Albaine: Well, at least it won't happen for another couple of years? *still doesn't get why she's selenophobic*

December 30th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *following behind happily*

Clare: *hovers into the clearing*

Albaine: *spots Clare and waves* Hello.

Evan: *looks over* Is she a witch? biggrin

Clare: *waves back* Greetings. *smiles at Evan* Hello, little one.

Albaine: How're you?

Evan: *smiles and waves, then looks at her hat*

Clare: *smiles* I am well. And yourself?

Albaine: I'm alright.

Evan: I'm good too. biggrin So do you have a lot of powers?

Clare: *winks at Evan* Oh, I would say that I have enough.

Evan: So what's it like to fly?

Clare: *smiles* Well, if it's alright with your father, I could show you.

Evan: Oh, can I? =D

Albaine: *guessing she wouldn't go too high or out of sight* It's fine with me.

Evan: Okay! ^^

Clare: Aright, then. *picks up Evan, holding him securely, then begins to rise over the tree-tops*

Evan: *looks down, watching the ascent* Whoa... biggrin

Albaine: *simply watches*

Clare: You can see the stars much better without all the branches in the way. *still going up slowly*

Evan: *looks up at the stars* Yeah.

Clare: *grins* So, what's flying like?

Evan: I like it. ^^ *thinks* It's a bit more windy up here, and everything looks a bit smaller.

Clare: If we were to get high enough, people would appear small as ants and it would be very cold indeed.

Evan: So why does it get colder when you go up? *kind of understands the ant thing*

Clare: *thinks for a moment* I believe it is because the air is thinner the higher you go and cannot hold in heat as well.

Evan: Ohh...so even the sun can't keep you warm?

Clare: The air traps the heat from the sun, but without air . . .

Evan: Oh... *nods* I get it.

Clare: *smiles* Good. Is there anything you wanted to see?

Evan: Hmm... *thinks and looks around* I can't think of anything right now.

Clare: *nods* Would you like to go back down, then?

Evan: *nods* Sure. ^^

Clare: *starts to descend slowly*

Evan: *watches the ground as they descend*

Clare: *lightly* Are you feeling at all dizzy?

Evan: *shakes his head* Nope.

Clare: Very good. *speeds up a bit*

Evan: Did it take long for you to learn how to fly?

Clare: Not really. *grins* Learning to fly straight, on the other hand . . .

Evan: *laughs* Oh, so learning how was easy but controlling it was hard?

Clare: *nods* Just so. *touches down . . . only it's more like "comes to rest about four inches above the ground" in this case*

Evan: I'm still having a hard time with my electric powers. They're not that strong yet.

Clare: They will doubtless grow in strength as you get older.

Evan: I know. I think practice will help though.

Albaine: Did you have fun?

Evan: *nods* Yeah. biggrin

Clare: Indeed it will. *bows slightly* And now I must take my leave of you, for the hour grows late indeed. Good night.

Albaine: *waves* Night.

Evan: Bye! ^^

January 3rd

Albaine: *wanders out*

Evan: *has a jacket on because it's a bit colder today*

Kara: *walks out*

Albaine: *waves* Hello.

Evan: Hi! =D *just realized he doesn't know her name*

Kara: *waves back* Hello you two.

Albaine: How're you?

Evan: *looks up and listens, wondering if a name will come up*

Kara: I'm . . . rather annoyed, but otherwise as well as can be expected.

Albaine: Annoyed?

Evan: Did somebody steal your curtains?

Albaine: ... *guessing that is it*

Kara: *growls* Worse. There were so many holes cut out it looked like a cross between fishnet and swiss cheese!

Evan: Whoa...that is worse. D=

Albaine: Maybe you should steal her curtains and put up the cut ones in its place. Or use a blanket if it's thick enough and can stay up over the window.

Kara: Except I didn't notice until too late, the hallway has dozens of un-curtained windows, and I barely had enough blankets to stay warm, let alone spare one for the window.

Albaine: Oh...I see.

Evan: Maybe you can paint the window? Or tape them with that black tape?

Kara: Except every other day the window has a really great view. *sighs*

Evan: So make a tape curtain and only put it up when you need it. biggrin You can hide it behind a bookshelf in a different room than the one you sleep in.

Albaine: Or you could use the bookshelf itself. Set it up when you need to.

Kara: Yes, the bookshelf could indeed work . . . *considers*

Albaine: And it'd be harder to steal or ruin.

Evan: *nods, suppressing a yawn*

Kara: *nods* Yes, indeed. I believe I shall use that this month, then.

Albaine: *nods and looks down at Evan* Well, we should get going now. Have a nice night. *waves and heads home*

Evan: Night. ^^ *waves and follows Albaine home*

Kara: *waves* Pleasant eve. *departs as well*

January 11th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *follows Albaine, looking around*

Kara: *walks in, Chalybs draped around her shoulders*

Chalybs: *would feel inordinately like a mink stole, except at least he's not getting wet*

Albaine: *waves* Hello.

Evan: *spots Chalybs upon Kara's shoulders* Hi! =D

Kara: *waves back, holding Chalybs in place with her free hand* Hi.

Chalybs: *grins and waves back*

Albaine: How're you?

Evan: Having fun up there? =3

Kara: Alright; warm, at least.

Chalybs: *sighs happily* It's nice and dry.

Albaine: Yeah, it seems like it.

Evan: *nods* Yeah, being held is nice. biggrin *lightly paws at Albaine's leg to be picked up so that he doesn't have to look up to talk to Chalybs*

Albaine: *picks Evan up*

Kara: *pats Chally's head* He's like a little furnace; I don't even need a jacket.

Chalybs: *tilts his head a bit to adjust to Evan's new position* You're still little.

Albaine: That's warm. I can understand the need to keep him out of the snow too.

Evan: Is that bad?

Kara: *grins* It is most comfortable, for the both of us, it would seem.

Chalybs: *shakes his head* No, since I remember you being an egg. I just thought it'd been a long enough while.

Albaine: *nods* Well, Sara seems preoccupied again. Something about needing to get a lot of something and having an ingame time limit before it might be gone forever. *recalls Sara ranting about it earlier*

Evan: I don't mind being a kit. biggrin And there are kits at the house who've been kits for as long as I can remember and they haven't grown yet so I think it's fine. =3

Kara: Humans and their video games.

Chalybs: *blinks* Well, if you're fine with it.

Albaine: I don't really get it. If she doesn't like doing something in the game then why not just forget it?

Evan: *nods and tries to give an example* You don't seem upset that you're not an adult.

Kara: Humans have strange memories; they only seem to forget things that are incredibly important or that they don't care about.

Chalybs: Well, you spend more time being a teen than a kit.

Albaine: *raises an eyebrow, but decides to reply to it anyways rather than clarify* Well, I can't say I'm much different...I tend to write down things I don't want to forget.

Evan: Maybe I just grow at my own pace. ^^

Kara: *shrugs* I have near photographic memory when I do remember, but there is a rather lot of it.

Chalybs: *grins* Slow pace.

Albaine: Some things I remember better than others. For regular, day-to-day memory I remember what people say more than the minute details of who was in the clearing besides whoever I'm with.

Evan: So how long is a teen supposed to be a teen? *tilts his head*

January 12th

Albaine: *wanders into the clearing*

Evan: *looks around*

Shino: *Peeks out of a little igloo that she had built* >3

Evan: *spots Shino* Hi! =D *tilts his head at the igloo*

Albaine: *at Evan* It's an igloo. *waves at Shino*

Evan: Ooooh...okay. 3nodding

Shino: *Waves back before slipping out of the igloo to walk over to Albaine and Evan* Hey

Albaine: How're you?

Evan: *looks over the igloo curiously*

Shino: I'm alright I guess, what about you and... *Trails off and looks over at Evan* You can go inside it you want, just be careful.

Evan: I'm good! ^^ And okay. =D *carefully walks inside*

Albaine: I'm alright. It's been a bit of a slow day. *looks over at Evan, guessing he'll want to make one at home now that he knows what it is*

Shino: Slow days are good sometimes *Looks up at Albaine as she frowns a little* Hey, can I ask you something?

Albaine: *nods* Sure.

Shino: Is it odd that outside of my family, an adult and a kit are the only ones I really talk to on a daily basis?

Albaine: *thinks for a moment* I don't think it's odd, though I might not be the best person to judge. Growing up the only people I had to talk to were adults, aside from Ellenoir who was a little more than 3 years younger than I was, close to 4.

Evan: *studying the inside of the igloo, wondering how it supports the dome shape*

Shino: All the shows on TV and stuff always go on about how friends are important and yadda yadda yadda *Waves a paw in the air* Makes me think that not counting family, I've only got two *Slides over to peek and see how Evan's doing in the igloo*

Albaine: *decides to avoid getting into a quality over quantity point, thinking it a bit obvious but also indirectly counting himself a little too highly* Some tend to attract more friends than others. As long as you don't actively avoid talking to someone new you'll probably make more as time goes on. *goes to check on Evan as well*

Evan: *spots Shino* So how does the ceiling stay up? =3

Shino: The walls that it's connected to help support it *Looks up at Albaine* I actually avoid some Namrah *Shrugs* If I think they seem like idiots I won't talk to them.

Albaine: Well, I can't say I don't do the same thing. I think avoiding those you don't want to talk to is perfectly normal.

Evan: Ooooh, okay. 3nodding *wonders why they're talking about talking to strangers*

Shino: Alright... *Nods at Evan* Yep. So as long as the structure is sound, it'll hold.

Albaine: *figures Shino'll make more friends on her own* If I remember correctly, some people slept in igloos because it's slightly warmer in them than out in the open.

Evan: Well, it does seem like a little house. biggrin

Shino: *Mutters* Warm my- *Stops and stares at Evan. Clears her throat and swallows the cuss* A little snow house, wouldn't want to live in one if I had other options.

Albaine: I meant relatively. It blocks the wind, which would make you colder.

Evan: *nods* Yeah, you could live in a tree house, or just a regular house.

Shino: I'd rather live in a house with a heater. *Is starting to realize that she doesn't really care for the cold* I guess people that live in igloos don't really have a choice though, or just like the cold.

Albaine: I'm not sure if they live in them, I always thought it was a temporary solution until a blizzard died down. Could be wrong though. *shrugs* I'm too used to heaters to really live in a house without one. Unless it had a fireplace, those are nice.

Evan: I don't think I've seen a fireplace outside of TV.
