Snowfur watched the chaos mount in the camp. He glanced around the dry cave then made his decidsion and bounded of into the forest. He ran in front of the patrols, staying out of sight from anyone. He started to sniff along the mudclan border.

BreezeStar Ravenwhisker nodded, "Lets go!" Moonheart started to run toward the entrance, forgeting about the pain in his legs, and ran through the entrance to start the search. He scented the air, noticing Creamkit's scent was stale, like she pased during night time. Though he didn't scent Snowfur, he was alert.

Goldenpaw bounded out of camp. When she came a few feet, she found a scent trail. She yelled the news.

" I haven't seen you around camp, are you from sandclan?" creamkit mewed curiosly." If you are, don't worry, I won't tell that i met you." She giggled Sandkit listened to the kitten ask him questions." I from Mudclan!" He mewed loudly. " And don't worry, I won't tell ethier."Just then a bolt of lightning struck the tree and it burst into flames. The two cat ran out and kept running till they both fell down in exgustion. The last thing creamkit remembered was a pale rain soaked cat standing over her and looking down with fear in his eyes.

Ravenwhisker bolted away with Mudpaw and Moonheart. "I agree," she mewed to Mudpaw, "I dont think that they are here either, what do you think Moonheart?" she asked calmly

Moonheart thought carefully of what to do. " I think we should go were the scent was strongest. What's the point in looking at places that are irrelavent. Although we might going in circles if Creamkit just went a longer way. Im not sure what we should do...." Moonheart said in thought.

snowfur saw mudpelt and moonheart talking. He slipped past them, carringboth kits in his mouth. he walked to the camp enterance and walked through without stopping into the middle of the camp. He hid sandkit out of sight by a boulder and walked up to puffinstar with creamkit in his mouth.

Puffinstar spotted the white tom padding towards her. She jumped down from the rock. "Snowfur! I might have known! What have you done with..." She looked down and noticed the kit dangling from his mouth. "...Creamkit?!" Puffinstar looked at the kit in a stunned silence, then sighed. "I may have misjudged you, Snowfur, but why did you return this kit, instead of keeping it like Sandkit? and better than that, did you steal Creamkit in the first place?"

Snowfur purred in amusment" If i had, how would i have come across this as well?" HE grabbed sandkit and pushed him forward, Reveling the two kittens to puffinstar. HE grabbed sandkit and padded over to the nursery, dropped sandkit at mayflowers feet and, with a look of sorrow in his eyes, raced out of the camp to his solitary cave.

Mudpaw was focused on finding Creamkit's scent so when she caught it Mudpaw didn't even notice Snowfur's scent mingled with it. "She's moving back towards camp!" Mudpaw meowed and took a paw step forward. She hesitated and looked back at Moonheart, waiting for him to say it was alright to follow.

before Goldenpaw whad gone a few feet she heard shouts at the camp. She raced to help Ravenwhisker with Creamkit. When she got there, she saw a different kit lying at Mayflowers feet. "Is this...?" Goldenpaw struggled to remember....

"My kit!" wailed a younger Mayflower. "Sandkit... SANDKIT'S GONE!" Goldenpaw, then a new apprentice, raced over with the rest of the Clan. She got one glimpse of Mayflower yowling, and then blacked out.

"...Sandkit?"

Ravenwhisker scruntched down to ask Creamkit "Are you ok? Who is this kit?" she turned when Goldenpaw had said Sandkit. Then she turned to the other kit. "Are you Sandkit?"
