Cosplay is short for costume play. It started in Japan at their anime and manga conventions, and now it goes on here at American cons. There are costuming contests and large competitions where full skits have to be put on are also held. It gets pretty serious sometimes. The costumes I've seen are amazing!
And yay for Steve getting a job! smile I have a part-time gig now which I get to do from my own computer. Yay for going to work in my pajamas. *evil evil grin*

Yes, that's quite possible. I guess it even is on the same scale, design-wise, but I don't know of any competitions or large-scale skit-based contests in the Trekkie world, not being a Trekkie. ^^;

Ever heard of a thing called a fan film?

*read's Dyanel's other thread*
Sounds fun! Only, I'm not on a whole lot... I'm afraid I might keep losing the plot line ;_;
That's why I can be here, no real plot to keep track of if I dont want to... But I'll think about it, it sounds like a cool storyline!
Maybe I can think of a character that can come and go easier, like that one person who seems like they're a good guy, but they dont always help out everytime, so you just have to wonder... (can anyone say Xellos from Slayers? All must worship Xellos >=D)

Can we do OOC in our post, if it's related to the post? I didn't want to do one, just in case it isn't allowed. Anyway, as I can't remember where I left off in the old area (I hadn't come for awhile, cuse I lost the link) I decided just to post in my room. ^^ Hope that's cool, I don't think I had been rping with anyone in the old one. Mmm, also X.x I know I didn't use the name Archy in the old one, but I can't remember what I used...Shiylan or something. So I'll go by Archy till I remember. Tehehe, my friends, Riverview and Morier may join soon. I just hope they don't go too wild. X.x

I find it amusing that "The Kitchen" has a lot more replies than any other area =P It was always the popular place in the old thread.
