I'd make a fictional about Fluke Groundrunner and how he sold his Bantha for six magic beans that grow into a beanstalk that led to the home of a giant Sand Person.
Of course, I won't take part in it, but I like coming up with weird stuff.

Like Jedi Master Prissy Pants. All bright pink garments, lightsaber makes a rainbow, and the guy never walks or runs, he just skips.

Well the Short Story contest won't go on unless we get two judges. Everyone votes, but nobody takes notes of the updates.

Nelowulf Well the Short Story contest won't go on unless we get two judges. Everyone votes, but nobody takes notes of the updates. I wanted one judge. Everyone else wanted three. Now no one wants to do the job. Terrific.

The problem is if you judge you can't enter, and then you waste your ideas...and can't win the prize.
You should have a salary for the judges... I'd do it if there was one...

You shouldn't need a salary.
However, if you vote for more than one judge, you should be willing to take the role of judge in case too few sign up as well. What's the point of asking for 3,4,5 judges, with entry fees of 50 gold, and prizes worth over 2k?
Salary? It might be useful if we could acess donations made to the guild itself, but we cannot, so we really don't even have the cash in back pocket worth it.

Plus paying judges would mean more cost to enter/less prize for winners to make up for it.
I'd judge, but I have picky tastes in things and I'd be sorta biased which wouldn't be fair, and nobody wants that. Plus, I grumble when I see long posts. Despite being online and in forums and all, I can't stand reading anything longer than like 1 paragraph.
