*Maggie's eyes fly open, she jerks back as though scalded, suddenly wide awake, and scrambles up out of her seat to get away from her* Kara!?

Polite . . . !? *Maggie echoes, incredulous* Ye . . .! *she lifts a hand to rub her temple, still regaining her bearings after being woken so abruptly, and in so disarming a manner*
I'm aware things are different in yer time Kara, but . . . that . . . ! *she shakes her head* Surely it canna be considered polite te sneak up upon a person in such a way!

People avoided touching each other like it was a plague, or in your case, maybe like it was evil or something. What horrible lies... There's nothing wrong with being happy with another human being.
