Man, my dimensions on Kael's sword are probably way the heck off. This is the closest I've run into to most of Kael's swords thus far, except I've measured his with a blade of about 4 feet... which might be a bit too long. It'd probably still work of the blade was made thinner, but I imagine it about that broad. He also purposefully has had oversized hilts on any given one of his swords, but that was on purpose. There might be something closer, but I only checked the European Renaissance section.

Well. God of War III was kind of disappointing compared to the first two games. On top of clocking in under 8 hours, though I guess that's pretty normal for action games of the type.

That's actually a really good match over all. Dimensions and weight are close to what I had in mind. Hilt is even shaped pretty much like my mental image.
I always just imagined a straight blade with the point on the end rather than one narrowing down the length is all. That's mostly why I picked the other one, it was bigger than most of the non zweihander or claymore swords in the section I was looking at and had the bladeshape I imagined.
If that had a fuller and a ricasso, it'd be a pretty perfect fit.

Funny Fish, was that and something like this that's closest to Nights sword. And a combination of this and this as what Enness uses.

So basically a claymore with a cross hilt instead of the angled quillons. Like this I guess. http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=501106&name=Wallace+Claymore'Cause realistically, most blades werent ever longer than 4', so its hard to find anything with a blade that long. Balance issues, so the hilts are usually longer, and ricassos take away a bunch of the blade's edge length too.

Yeah, I made his sword too friggin' long. I was only just starting to get anything you could call an actual understanding of swords when I made the initial one though, and I've mostly stuck to the original dimensions.
Think his blade has generally been 3'9"-4', with a hilt that's been from ten inches to a foot.
I'm scaling him down to a smaller swords soon anyway, and focusing on fighting with a gauntlet and sword. Probably meaning more like a b*****d sword realistically would have been.

I like the crudest looking things. Choppers with like, 2 ' blades and 1' handles and crap like that.
But I'll just stick with my spears. All stabbity like.
