I know man, I kinda hoped that rumors of more DLC would create some more conversation.

I need to actually read up on all the new stuff regarding ESO, but being on vacation I've been putting it off.

I have been lax mostly because I've been in Post-apocalyptic Nevada or Lordran more than any of the imperial provinces. The fact I am thinking of returning to Rapture or maybe Stillwater isn't going to help...

In other news, I see you're supporting the Kuros... I won't fault you for assisting kin, just as I hope you won't fault me for doing the same, sera.

So, I finally finished Dragon's Dogma, I put off finishing it because I didn't want it to end(which is kind of like not playing it anyway, heh).
I won't spoil the ending, obviously for anyone who may end up playing it.
But, you know all those games where they try to force you to care for a character, and you know it, so you don't?(-coughcough- Fable II and III's dog)
Well, Dragon's Dogma did that for me, for my Pawn, they made me care for her... and really sad to see her go for my next playthrough.
See near the start of the game just after the Dragon takes your heart and you become the Arisen you get a Pawn which you customise yourself. To compliment my archer, I made my pawn a female mage called Vega.
Your Pawn kind of evolves and learns to do things as you play, I mean, they aren't UNIQUE but, say... like my siblings Pawns(who I often took along with me in my travels) they seriously seemed to have some strange thing going on between them because they'd save eachother over anyone else(like Vega, shame on you guys!) and they'd often grapple the enemies for eachother. They were a pair of dramatics... grappling bandits left and right and screaming at eachother to finish it off. Vega tended to stick to the back, casting boons to give weapons elemental damage and occasionally smacking down a huge AoE spell. I didn't tell her to do this, she picked it all up on her own.
When we came across trolls which really, really love women she'd get it onto her and just dodge it, so everyone else could attack. She made fighting trolls so much easier, because I was not having to jump out of the way as it came bowling through. A lot of the time I'd just watch as the other Pawns acompanying me just got in the way and flew across the room. There was a few times Vega went unscathed after a battle with a Troll.

But pretty much, I'm going to miss her in my next playthrough since I'm bringing along a Strider(rogue character). It's not gonna feel the same, but I suppose I'll see what happens.
But damnit, Dragon's Dogma! Making me feel things.
Not supposed to feel things, suppose to laugh at the feeble attempts to try and make me feel things.

I'm sure I've said this in the past, but right now I've been questing and exploring Azeroth and what's left of Draenor. I've been trying to make time to visit my world in MC and of course Skyrim from time to time.

The Don might be a little crazy and or possessed, but I can not forsake my people and side with the vampire dogs.

Deranged Hero

There aren't many video game characters that I was sad to see die, I have to admit that in moments during ME3 a tear or two rolled down my cheek when certain characters died. But useless its not characters that were designed for the player to care for, it just happened over time as I spent more time in the game.

"When they go out of the way to try and make me care for characters, it does not work. You have to spend time with, and get really attached to a character for it to work...
I spent hours traversing Gransys, just hunting down monsters.
Actually, one of the main points of Dragon's Dogma is that Pawns have no real will, they just follow the Arisen, they're just a 'tool'. If they die, they come back, ect, ect. And it's not like there is any real developement of your Pawn, no special quests or cutscenes.
Dragon's Dogma made me care for a two-dimensional character.
And it's not like they don't attempt to make you care for OTHER characters(there's a part in the game when your characters "Beloved" is kidnapped and you choose whether they live or die, and the Beloved can be ANYONE, any character in the world you've intereacted with bar a handful).
I don't dislike who the game picked as my Arisen's Beloved, but... I'd pick my Pawn over Selene anyway if I had to choose who lived or died. Y'know, excepting the fact that Pawns will come back when they die anyway.

"So, Assassin's Creed III arrived today(two days early, yay~)
Got the Join or Die edition(comes with DLC, a medallion and George Washington's Notebook).
...but the notebook has hidden pages that involve damaging the book to get to.
WHY?! THAT IS SO EVIL.
"
D:
(Though we will be getting another copy of the notebook with the PC Freedom Edition coming out in November, but... y'know... rather not damage either of them. Maybe I can find some scans online or something.)

Well, I think it makes up for my Skyrim being late!

The begining in a little strange, with you still 'learning the ropes' for ages... but it could just be my sister getting distracted by hunting all the time. I wandered off and started playing Skyrim, so I'll probably start and play it by myself later.
