Zeramaru dared to move on to the B-ranked level jutsus now. It would truly test all of his capabilities as a genin, but others had accomplished mastering such jutsu before him so he knew that it was at least possible for him to do the same. He picked out the Spherical Shield Technique because of its fast use and powerful defensive capabilities. It would surely come in handy against other ninjutsu.

Next he prepared himself for the jutsu by focusing his electrical chakra into his hands. Appropriately, Zeramaru kept his arms far apart and pointed his hands outward to his sides. This would create his perimeter for the sphere, the kill zone of an arms-distance away from him.

Now it was time to actually form the shield. An electrical wave of chakra pulsed out from his glowing hands that reached out in an arc around his body. The two arcs finally connected in the middle to seal Zeramaru shut in a forcefield made between two sufficiently co-existing energies. It was really quite remarkable that he was able to get the two forces on such a level so quickly.

However, the technique was not fully complete yet. He should've known it couldn't have been so easy. One side pressed heavily against the other to create an unstable balance between the two, and then the shield died out completely. More practice was required to put up the shield quickly and more effectively.

Luckily this didn't take long to perfect. The incident was only a minor hiccup in the overall performance of the jutsu and was easily corrected once Zeramaru learned the limits of his technique. In a final display of power he extended his arms and created a bubble of electricity around his figure. The cackling lightning of the sphere let it be well known that nothing short of a jutsu equal in magnificent power would be getting through such a dense shield.

Uinsean smiled as the assault began, lowering his stance a little into a defensive sort. The Uinsean with the pendulum smirked seeing Aylin take a small portion of the attack, soon that part of her body would go a little numb, affecting her reaction time. Then saw her rush the first clone, and hesitated to actually take it out. This moment of deliberation gave the clone the upperhand, and it took the opportunity to throw a punch mimicking the one at Kenta. If it struck, she would have trouble breathing, but that was the least of her worries. The clone pushed forward, digging the blade into it's throat, and moments later it would erupt into pure lightning, paralyzing her for a short while.

The clone going for Masaru would erupt into a violent explosion of lightning as well, hopefully paralyzing him, but if not. Uinsean now had the knowledge that Masaru was weilding a weapon from the clones re-assimilation with him. He would then ready a small mass of chakra incase he needed to deal with a non-paralyzed genin.

The clone going for Kenta was surprised that his opponent wouldn't move out of the way, but instead take the attack directly. A mistake on his part, as the blow to the chest alone would make it difficult to breathe for awhile. The punch was delivered in a well practiced way that it would do no damage to his outer skin and muscles, but instead the force would strike inside his body, shaking him up a bit if he had been expecting a blow to the chest alone. The clone flashed a wicked grin as his face was struck, and followed suit with the others, erupting into a burst of electricity that would be nearly impossible to avoid in this situation.

Uinsean watching all this unfold, gathered the information rapidly from each of his shadow clones. Seeing the way they reacted gave him a lot of information he needed to know about them. Masaru wasn't going to take this lightly, which made him happy to see, and he definitely wouldn't take him lightly. Aylin was too compassionate for a killing blow, so there was a chance she was a medic, or just needed to be battle hardened a little. Kenta on the other hand, had been a little harder to read, but judging on his tactics. It seemed he was more driven toward taijutsu, since he had been willing to take a blow, perhaps he was used to it.

Looking over at all of them, assuming they had all been paralyzed, he spoke out to all of them. "Try to keep strikes to clones at a distance, you never know what will happen with them.. As for you two lightning users, I suggest you take up electrical resistance training, and same with fire." He talked aloud for a moment, watching closely for Masaru, feeling he was the only one that might've avoided the shock. He still doubted it, but it was always a possibility, the other two had been in direct contact however so it seemed unlikely. He formed a few quick handseals, and two clones stepped out, upon repeating them once again, two more clones stepped forth. Smirking they all took up a defensive stance, one of them standing directly infront of Uinsean, the others fanned out with their backs to Uinsean. "Try to think carefully on what you'll do next.. Try to think of any advantages you'd have, take everything into account.." He spoke calmly, watching closely for all of their reactions, and subtly gathering chakra.

As he stood waiting a windmill shuriken sprung forth in his direction, he smirked at the attack, he had been expecting a weapon, but this wasn't what he had thought. The clone he had prepared jumped up to intersect it, and exploded into a small burst of water. Forming a single handsign, a large number of senbon needles formed from the water, freezing in the air. Then with a quick hand motion, they slammed into the incoming shuriken, and a few shot towards the area the shuriken came from, hoping to score a few small hits. He was panting lightly at the chakra consumption.

[Chakra Pool: 325/515.]

((Ah, it's nice to be on a computer again. XD For the two of you hit with the bell ring punch, unless Aylin avoided somehow, you will have difficulty breathing for two posts. There are five hundred needles, 250 heading for the shuriken, and 250 heading in your general direction, they won't be too accurate so a hit or two each would suffice unless you have a way to avoid them.))

After learning the spherical shield technique he refrained from going back into the classroom. There was quite a commotion going on. It would be best to wait until their confrontation was over. Zeramaru didn't seem to think much of it and simply packed the scrolls away on his person and headed for the Hokage's Office. Perhaps he could be assigned to his first mission, since he didn't have a sensei or other teammates with which he could ask instead.

Kazuma Hatake
User Image

As time passed, Kazuma's decision to watch his former classmates spar with the higher level ninja appeared to be more fruitful, by the minute. Judging by his level of skill, Kazuma assumed he was at least a Jonin, or an unusually strong chunin. There was no current way to be certain of that, but regardless, he was quite powerful, compared to their own novice skills. His mastery of the shadow clone left him nearly speechless. In mere moments, he had formed a multifunctional squad of copies. Each, apparently, serving their usefulness, in more ways than one. The advice about avoiding the clones was well received, by Kazuma. Of course, it was common sense to attack their creator, since their demise would cause the clones to cease existing. However, Kazuma was unaware of the seemingly countless, and explosive ways, that a clone could be utilized to keep an opponent at bay. With his family's techniques clearly focused on close range combat, Kazuma could see the many ways shadow clones could prevent him from closing the distance, on his opponent.

It was difficult for him to stand idly by, as he watched his fellow Konoha Genin absorb strike after strike, but this was eased by the knowledge that it was only training. At least three times now, the thought of rushing to their aid had crossed his mind. However, not intruding on their training was the reason that he had chosen to do so, in the first place. Also, what if the four of them proved to be successful? Would that take the pride of the victory away from the others, never knowing if they could win on their own? Regardless, the chances of even six untrained Genin overcoming this challenge was unlikely, not to mention that it was more likely that Kazuma would succeed only in taking blow after blow, like his comrades.

As it is with every choice in life, there are pros and cons, regardless of how you choose. Of course, Kazuma was ready to defend himself, should a stray projectile be deflected towards him. Other than that, he would try to avoid direct involvement, as best he could.

Back in the cloud of smoke, Masaru had been shocked; yet due to his affinity for lightning, he shook off the electric pain and pressed on. He had carried out his attack and continued to focus on Uinsean, but in the back of his mind, a few meager thoughts of his comrades arose. If the clone he had struck was made of lightning, then what about the other two that had attacked Kenta and Aylin? Was his friends alright, or had they been shocked by now as well? These minor thoughts, however, did not disrupt Masaru's train of thought. Already knowing Kenta for a good portion of his life, Masaru knew that the determined and headstrong Oni could hold his own; and as for Aylin, although he had just met her, he had a feeling that the stubborn but sly kunoichi wouldn't let a strong shock get the best of her. No, none of them could give up now, not during their first encounter on the road to becoming Chuunin. They could not lose, not as a team! But if they couldn't win... as a team... Masaru had an important decision to make here without much time to make it. So he followed his heart. The shinobi threw up his unbuckled shirt and used it as a rough replacement, even as the first wave of senbon headed for him.

POOF! His simple substitute had taken the blunt of the hit, leaving Masaru unharmed by Uinsean's water-projectiles. Meantime, he pulled on the metallic string to his windmill shuriken and changed its course for Kenta's location, where it would act as a spinning shield, taking the blunt of Uinsean's quick projectiles before losing momentum and dropping out. Meantime, Masaru himself took a few short steps before diving for Aylin, defending her from the flurry of watery attacks with the posterior of his own body. A few senbon and shuriken struck the bare skin of his back on their way towards his friend. "Mph-" he was forced to let a light moan of pain escape his lips. He looked over his shoulder and towards Uinsean, "If I can't win... without sacrificing my friends... there's no point." Masaru spoke in a deep and steady voice.

×××POST:Aylin's attempt to dodge the punch had involved her right lung to be damaged as she had difficultly breaking the only lung she had. Aylin breathed unsteadily, as if the punch wasn't enough, Uinsean had released a clone that exploded in tiny shocks of lightning that paralyzed her. she was paralyzed in the worst of all positions; the kneeling position which was going to leave her with some major pins and needles.

Now actual needles were coming right at her, in an attempt to get up and out of the way; Aylin managed to get her hand working for a split second but didn't know how or when she could do it. Trying to get her legs working she'd realized that Masaru had jumped in the way and took the attack for her and looked down on him as he groaned and spoke a few words. Raiing her working hand, Aylin punched Masaru in the head lightly as she chuckled. "Idiot," Aylin said as she felt her legs working for the moment.

Getting up, as she had a hard time trying to breath at all; it was actually quite amazing that she could stand up after all the strain to her body and such. 'I need to learn Eiseijutsu as soon as possible,' Aylin thought as she unsheathed her Katana and pointed the tip at Uinsean, as if to warn him she was going to get pretty serious now.

Zeramaru walked into the classroom and headed to an isolated corner once more. All of the students look beaten up, even the medic girl from before. He suspected that the teacher wasn't as merciful as she. "If you don't want to hurt people, you should drop that katana right now." He said aloud to her. However, he didn't bother waiting for a reply just yet. It was up to Aylin to decide whether she would take his advice or not. In the meantime, he had jutsu to learn.

Zeramaru read into what would be his last raiton jutsu for this particular rank. Of all the techniques he could've chosen, he picked the Manipulated Lightning Technique. First he focused on learning to create the strings.

This came quite naturally to Zeramaru. He was a puppeteer after all. In no time he was able to make long strings of pure electricity shoot out from his fingers. They danced in an amazing display around him.

However, while powerful enough to cut right through one of the desks nearby, Zeramaru had little control over them. The next step of the jutsu was to learn how to control the strings. This proved to be the most difficult. They weren't like normal chakra strings. The electricity within each strand gave them a life of their own. Zeramaru's first attempt met little results.

There was nothing else he could do but try again. Zeramaru created the strings once more and focused on moving them the way he wished. Instead of simply forcing it though, Zeramaru focused on a specific point that he wanted the lightning to go. The strands seemed to obey this kind of will. Instead of being moved just to be moved, the lightning strings instead would go to whatever Zeramaru told them was the nearest "conductor."

With a little more practice the technique was learned just like all the others. He was starting to feel less like a simple student and more like a true master of the element now. Between this technique and the Lightning Beam, he had the two offensive techniques he needed to become a true threat in battle. Zeramaru let the strings of lightning do one last dance around his body before he allowed them to flicker out.

Zeramaru moved on to the genjutsu scroll next, and put away the raiton one. After skimming through the illusion techniques listed he found a disinterest in the lower ranked jutsus. They were all too minor or obvious. Only at around C or B-ranked did they become extremely influential. With that in mind, Zeramaru's first genjutsu was to be Nemuri, the sleep technique. He started by created a lightning clone to be used as a guinea pig for this jutsu.

After preparations were made he finally began practicing. It was his first attempt, of his first genjutsu no less, so as one might expect it didn't provide much of a result. Zeramaru grabbed the clone's shoulder and tried injecting the impression of sleep on its mind, but the clone merely yawned. It was a sign at least...maybe. Regardless he still had a ways to go.

Seeing the smirk on the clones face, Kenta knew something was up. After all it wasn't everyday that someone smirked from getting hit. Trying to pull back from the punch, he would find it was just a little too late. As the clone exploded, Kenta felt all the muscles in his body tighten up as the electricity danced across his body. Standing there, he tried to take a few deep breathes but it was between everything that happened to him. Next thing he would know, a flurry of needles would be coming his way. He tried to move his body, but nothing seemed to be happening. <******** I was told that I rushed in to much....Guess they were right. As he thought to himself, he tried to give off a small laugh but nothing worked.

As it seemed like he was going to get hit by the needles, Masaru swept in and seemed to save the day. Kenta would have given a thanks to him, but his mouth still wasn't working. Watching his teammates fighting, he started to get a little mad. At this point, he was proving to be rather useless. He didn't like being useless. Trying to move his body still wasn't responding. God damn piece of s**t body...... He though in his head. Finally a word would slip out in a rather loud yell. "MOVE" With that he was able to form a fist with his hand.

Did he really will his way pasted being paralyzed? He wasn't sure. Either way, his body would be moving once again. Hopefully he didn't damage anything by doing this. Looking at the the battle field he tried to get an idea of what was going on. There were four clones...no three clones now. Two with their backs to Uinsean and one right in front of him. Giving off a small nod to himself, he had no ******** clue what to do. Ugh if only I knew some kind of jutsu or had my bow with me. Sure he had basic ninja equipment and a windmill shuriken on him, but Uinsean wasn't going to fall for basic equipment. Shifting his weight he pulled out two normal shurikens. If anything I can try to take out a few clones. With there Masaru and Aylin were, they wouldn't be blocking the two clones that fanned out. Since he was a little further back from the two, he hoped he wouldn't be focused on as much. Taking one shuriken in each hand, Kenta let them fly at each of the clones. He didn't know how good the right handed shurkien would be in terms of accuracy because, Kenta was left handed. He didn't have much time training on an off hand throw.

Zeramaru continued practicing the nemuri technique on his clone. Yet he was repeatedly met with failure. Perhaps he had bitten off more than he could chew? Zeramaru thought that to be obvious. Still, giving up was never an option. He continued to practice without break.

Eventually his efforts began to bear fruit. Zeramaru grabbed the clone's shoulder and with an activation of his genjutsu he willed the clone to pass out in a deep sleep. However, just a few moments later the clone awoke from his seemingly deep slumber. The technique may be effective enough to use in battle, he quickly deducted, but it wasn't living up to its full potential. The effects were too brief.

He saw them react to his attack, but it seemed Masaru would take the blunt of the attack. Uinsean smiled at Masaru's words, and watched them closely. He thought for a moment as he watched, considering everything that had happened. Then two of his clones burst from existence, water lightly flooding the area. Looking around, he realized who had thrown them, the last clone stood there surprised as well. Looking them over, he saw Aylin draw a katana.

His plan to paralyze them had worked as expected, and two of them would have trouble fighting for a bit, and now one had injuries to his back. That part had been a little unexpected, but he was proud of him for defending his comrades. It looked as though they would stick with team combat, and he was happy they had decided to stick together, or so it seemed.

Pulling a scroll from his flak jacket, he flung out a small portion, and pressed his hand to some writing. A katana appeared in his hand as he snapped the scroll closed, and returned it to his pocket. His trench coat fanning out behind him as he pulled the blade up near his waist level, pointing toward Aylin, and Masaru. The green threading shining in the light as he took up a defensive stance, the blade pointing to Aylin's eye level to show he was serious. Dark green lightning began to spark across the blade as he watched them carefully.

The final clone watched them as well, and stayed close to Uinsean. The water pendulum behind him continued to swing back and forth. It was guaranteed to have been seen by each of them at this point. A sense of oddness would be felt by each of them, slowly growing into a tired feeling over time. They didn't have too much longer to complete the challenge he set forth, but fortunately for them, all of this was starting to wear him out a little. He wasn't showing many signs of growing tired, but he was definitely not breathing normally.

The stinging pain in his back caused Masaru to double over for a short moment. Yet he didn't wanna look weak before his squad and team leader, so he simply took it like a man and forced himself to regain composure. Meanwhile, his eyes adverted from Uinsean to Aylin, then towards Kenta. His friends appeared to be fine. Alright- he thought to himself, allowing a tiny smile to overcome his lips, still hidden behind the veil of his headband, -good. Let's do this... Masaru shook his head slightly, pushing the pain to the back of his mind. There were more important issues to focus on now. After he had straightened up, Masaru took note of Aylin's unsheathed weapon. So she's finally sobered up... along with Kenta. he thought, noticing his buddy's shuriken take out a few of Uinsean's water clones. However, whence they burst into water, the whole floor beneath was soon covered in a thin layer of liquid. Masaru quickly analyzed the situation and thought up a plan. First thing was first, he had to get his team outta the water for fear that they could be shocked again. After a slight nod towards his close friend, Kenta, he immediately faced Aylin. "Use the ceiling... and attack from above..." he whispered lightly enough for her to hear and her only. Masaru didn't worry about letting Kenta know though, since they knew each other so well that he was sure the Oni would catch on in no time. It was about time for them to counteract!

With a fluid motion of his hand, he whipped out a smoke bomb, yet hid two more using slight of hand... a little trick he and Kenta learned whence they played poker/cards with a few other kids, on occasion, during their breaks at the academy. Snapping his first smoke bomb on the ground, Masaru utilized a d-ranked burst of chakra to enhance his strength very temporarily; he followed through by helping toss Aylin up to the ceiling and allowing her to take it from there. Immediately after, Masaru snapped his second smoke bomb into the ground just ahead of him but this time, he utilized one more d-ranked burst of chakra to break through the wooden floor below. At the same time his second smoke bomb went off with a BANG!, Masaru used its noise to cover himself as he smashed his feet into the floor and slipped underneath the old, wooden planking. In a single fluid motion, he went from slipping underneath the planks to crawling towards Uinsean's location. His eidetic memory gave Masaru a clear picture of the room and where everyone/everything was before they moved. Thus he could recall where Uinsean was as well -hopefully his two friends were keeping him busy enough for Masaru to ready up a sneak attack from below. If Uinsean did move, however, Masaru could most likely spot his shadow(s) by the dim light that seeped through the thin cracks in between each lengthy, oak panel that made up the flooring. Keeping his eyes on Uinsean's shadow as he hurried, crawling towards the area beneath him, Masaru whipped out another pre-wired windmill shuriken. Come on guys~ he trusted in himself, but moreover, in his friends. It was unlike the usual Masaru who only believed in himself. Maybe that strange pendulum he caught in the corner of his gaze was starting to get to him or something...

Kenta took note of the situation now. It appeared his two shurikens had hit their mark. Of course that translated into a thin layer of water on the floor. Uinsean know had a katana as well as Aylin. Were the two really going to fight it out? Anyways, Kenta was trying to figure out what he could do. God if only he had some jutsu or his bow with him. It would have made things a little easier probably. Sure there could have been a bow somewhere in the academy, but that would require him leaving his teammates. That of course wouldn't have been good.

Kenta watched Masaru as he nodded at him. He couldn't help but laugh figuring Masaru knew what he was talking about by a simple nod. While it was true that a simple nod didn't tell anything about what a person was thinking, Kenta wasn't stupid. He knew it was time to act, and that he should probably get out of the water. At the same time, however, Uinsean had a katana in his hands. If they could get rid of the clone, he would have trouble preforming any jutsu with no free hands. That's of course assuming that he didn't need any free hands to preform them. Either way, it was a risk Kenta was willing to take. Still having his breathing be a little hard and sore from the last lightning attack, Kenta would head into action.

When the first smoke bomb went off, Kenta turned and headed for the nearest wall. He tried to be quite, but it was hard when you were running through water. That is if the level wasn't so bad that it didn't splash. Moving chakra down to his feet, when he hit the wall, he placed a foot on it and started going up it. Pushing off the wall, Kenta flew through the air. Having pulled out three shuirken while he ran, he let them fly in a slight spread out formation. They were in a horizontal line with about four inches between them. His main goal here was to take out that clone. The middle one would be aimed at where the clone was before the smoke went up. The other two would hopefully catch it if it decided to move to the left or right. As Kenta flew through the air, he felt a little weird. Kind of light headed or tried. Couldn't quite pin it yet. It almost felt like he was getting drunk. Either way, he went away for the moment and he didn't think about it. Falling to the floor, he went into a roll and got back up waiting to see what would happen.

×××POST: Aylin nodded, jumping into the air as she used a d-ranked jutsu, molding her chakra at her feet as she attached to the wall. Smirk on her face as she jumped down, slashing vertically at Uinsean as she attempted to injure him somehow. If this didn't work than atleast it could be a distraction for Masaru or Kenta to move in on a possibly finishing blow. Aylin began to think how much Kenta and Masaru had bonded to know what each other meant in just a nod. Aylin hoped that it her slash had hit, she wouldn't of killed him, they still needed a sensei and she'd probably become a rogue ninja for accidently killing her sensei.

Her crimson red hair, flowly brilliantly in the air as she made her move, if he'd parred with her attack than her plan was to quickly move into another attack until one of her teammates had connected a blow with Uinsean or she'd been able to atleast get a cut on him. A slight smile appeared on her face as of because of this spar with their sensei they were able to strengthen their bond in mind and soul, this included the very young looking Uinsean. Hair fell over her unique and beautiful eyes as she moved her katana down upon Uinsean, assuming he wouldn't just let her hit him, Aylin got ready to parr with one of his moves or get attacked by a clone of his.

Aylin's mind wondered back to Kenta who seemed to be doing something too, and at Masaru who seemed to be constructing an ultimate plan to whip their sensei's a**. Hopefully the smoke from Masaru's bombs could keep her hidden enough to land an actual blow upon their overly confident sensei, his ease with this battle was starting to piss her off, However, unlike every other person, Aylin never took her anger out on someone else.
