dreadno Lucas reacted just slightly faster than the genin by thrusting out his hands out in front of him and expelled wind chakra blasting himself backwards. unkowlingly he'd used the propelling winds jutsu. he was blasted backwards and then quickly regained himself and used his assimilation to assimilate with his steel knife. he then dispersed into a gas cloud. (• Solid to Liquid assimilation (and vise versa) require at least 4 posts of cool down. ( Meaning they cannot be used within 4 posts of each other. ) • All material assimilations require 2 posts of cool down. ( Meaning you must wait 2 posts after assimilating before switching to a new material type. Your gas minipulation still follows these rules. You just said you assimilated your knife, now you cant do another assimilation for another 2 posts. please edit. )

the cloud swept around the blast and pushed itself to go faster than it normally would. he would then reform on the other side of the genin.
"youngling. you have much to learn still. do not reach above what you know. for you have yet to reach the deapest parts of the shadow's that haunt this village."
he said cryptically.

Manfread's Byakugan caught the movement of the cloud's chakra, it quickly reformed behind him. Spinning rapidly he released a large burst of chakra around his body, the unstable energy pulsed.
“Heavenly spin,” Manfread, said, the sphere exploded out creating a shock wave between the two ninja. Landing on his feet Manfread fired off another Void Fist.

Lucas was hit by the shockwave as he was not expecting it and landed on the ground only to narowly miss the void fist blast. Lucas then attempted to cool down his core temperature by reduching the particle movement so as to maintain his structure.
"lucky shot you bugger"
he said and rolled backwards and lept up to glare at the genin.

Manfread swiftly closed the distance between him and his opponent.
"Its not luck, 'little brother'," Manfread stated with a sneer, he whipped out both fists aiming for a blody blow with his haiken.

Lucas pushed himself more to be fast and react fast. he dispersed himself so as to avoid the strikes and used the particles to pierce into the arms of the genin while trying to charge himself with chakra to increase the cutting power.

As the wind blast approached the smoke, Ganchou would launch his own counter, a Daikamitaichi no Jutsu, which would cancel out the blast. The smoke screen torn away, and previous senbon blown off course, Ganchou performed his next technique and formed 3 spheres of wind in his hand. Taking careful aim, he dodged to the side while simultaneously shooting one each at closest clone, and the other 2 at the farthest James. Each sphere would move and hit with the force of a bullet, though it wouldn't penetrate skin and would at most bruise or crack ribs, almost guaranteeing a dispersal of the clones. He then hit the ground and rolled to recover.
Meanwhile, as the clone and James hit the Bunshin, it would explode in a large explosion, most sending James flying and dispersing the clone.

//Ok... I hate to be picky but this is pretty serious. Firstly, whenever you make a clone you are dividing your current chakra into the number of clones made, minus the cost of the technique. Once dispersed, the remaining chakra each clone has is returned to the user along with the knowledge of the clone. Because of this, since you have 3 clones plus yourself, at start each would have had 109 chakra apiece. Even Ninjutsu can't mess with the law of energy conservation. Therefore, they do not have the chakra to perform all of those techniques, and most certainly the injured clone could either split, OR launch the attack, I chose the attack, but you may change if you want... crying I hate to be picky but this WILL get you into trouble later on...// (And before you think, full Chakra and Mental Capabilities is interpreted as able to use any of your jutsu, w/proper chakra. This is going to stink for you, I'm betting...)

(Both of you please read the ninjutsu rules in the techniques section in the guild. Gan is right on a few points. Despite what the technique says, there are rules specifically on how the usage of clones work)

Using a quick replacement technique, the Konin headed off to the gates while leaving a clone here in the Academy. His earpiece was going nuts.

With San off training and such Howaido planned to master a few simple Ninjutsu he could use against Siniku. Howaido used the Kage Bunshin as a basis so he could create two techniques. The foremost required the practice of forming multiple clones, the Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Howaido first practiced simply imbuing the shuriken with his chakra and turning that chakra into a shadow clone. He threw the shuriken as he focused hard and extended his chakra to the shuriken with a seal. The shuriken continued as the clone appeared in its shadow with a seconds delay. "Alright, now to do it the right way." Howaido now had to perform the technique with out imbuing the shuriken as that was a give away. He had to extend his chakra to the shadow and use it as the catalyst for the technique. Howaido threw a shuriken again and formed a seal extending his chakra to it, after a second a Kage Bunshin formed beneath the shurikens shadow.
Howaido took a solid stance and threw a single shuriken the shuriken flew true to its target and he focused hard having extended his chakra to it. The shuriken cast a small shadow from all for blades and that was where Howaido's chakra would activate. He formed the seals for Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and released chakra in the shadows of the four blades of the shuriken. Howaido was amazed as his chakra formed four shadow clones one for each shadow of the shuriken blades. The jutsu went swiftly and perfectly just as if he were the shuriken and were performing the jutsu himself. Howaido now had four Shadow clones directly at his disposal in "enemy lines" and this was when the final Shadow Clone jutsu he was training came into play. The Kage Bunshin Bakuha no Jutsu, Howaido quickly reformed seals as he threw another shuriken at a dummy.
Howaido imagined a very strong enemy surrounded by his clones, stunned and confused by the attack only able to contemplate a way out so fast. The shuriken would strike the man in the chest and stun him as the four clones still moving from the momentum surrounded him. Howaido exerted chakra and then cut the trail to the clones as he formed a different seal and the shadow clones detonated on cue. The surrounded and stunned opponent would be blown to tiny pieces of flesh and bone dust. Howaido merely stretched as he felt nicely warmed up.

Howaido made himself a Shadow Clone and headed out back of the academy the clone following after. Howaido drew five seals and placed them in a square at a specific area, he then led the clone towards the area he had placed them. He used various retreat tactics such as tool distractions and such, when he got to the area where he had set the trap he took out his katana and slashed at the clone. The clone charged forwards and Howaido bluffed as he gave and jumped backwards. The clone already on him he made a seal as he jumped back activating the seals. He locked blades with the clone and merely smiled as he jumped back and the seals exploded leaving the clone in flames.
Howaido formed another clone and again engaged, he formed a clone for himself and had the clone watch from afar. As if observing for weakness, Howaido waited till he slipped up and jumped back making a seal, the attacker would believe was a ninjutsu. It quickly attacked him before he finished a third seal, though there actually was no third seal. Howaido went to the ground and seemed to be finished the clone had also disappeared it seemed. As the attacker came in for the kill the corpse of Howaido... EXPLODED? Yes, as the real Howaido came down from the trees it was apparent he had used two jutsu, simple ones. A substitution with his shadow clone and the puppy explosion trap. The clone had easily fallen for it. Howaido walked back towards the academy as he observed the techniques he had left to learn.

Manfread rammed his foot into the ground, and forced himself to pivot.
“Heavenly spin,” Manfread cried, his fists brushed against the steel shards, before he desperately released chakra and swiftly spun around to knock his opponent back. A Greenish black sphere encircled his entire body rapidly blasting debris away.

Lucas was blasted back by the unexpected force of the heavenly spin. thankfully Lucas was able to remain in one piece by channeling a small amount of chakra into himself to increase his durability. this helped keep him together and he then pushed himself up and shook himself off.
"that hurt kid. you're pushing your luck."
he said shaking his head. he had only been fooling around with the kid but it looked like he was going to try and take this seriously.

Manfread created three basic Clones of himself. Sending two charging out to the other ninja's sides, they moved as if they were to use Heavenly spin. Charging in a pincer like pattern of attack. At the same time the third Clone charged into close combat while the real hid in it's shadow, ready to use Void Fist.
