MISSION- A Planner for a Scanner
Any Team Aqua member is asked to go to the Abandoned Ship and get the scanner.
Pokemon:
Magikarp
Wailmer
Barboach
Feebas
Funds upon completion: 400

*Maddy was lying down on the beach with Totodile. They were spending the weekend in Dewford since things were getting pretty quiet back at the HQ lately. Her TADS beeped loudly. She took it off her belt and watched the message appear on the screen.*
"We've heard reports of a Scanner on board the Abandoned Ship off the coast of Dewford town. This Scanner is vital to our study of Pokemon so we would like any Aqua currently in the area of Dewford to hop aboard that shipwreck and find the scanner. Good luck!"
*Maddy turned off her TADS as she finished reading the message.*
Good thing I got my Acro bike upgraded into the Aqua DX bike so now it can go across water!
*Maddy went back to the motel she was staying in and put on all of the gear she usually had for a mission. Her flashlight, a Pokeball, and at least one of her trusty Pokemon. In this case she had chosen Totodile. After she had all of her gear together, she went outside and found her bike. she rode off to the beach.*
I sure hope this works!
*Maddy pressed a button on the bike and it immediately started hovering.*
Oooh! How cool! what will the scientists back at HQ come up with next!
*Maddy zoomed over the water with Totodile swimming next to her. He had gotten pretty good at swimming and it turned out he was ready to evolve soon.*
I'll see if it's alright to evolve you when we get back to HQ.
*They raced over the water for about a half hour when the shipwreck came into view. Maddy rode right over next to the wreck and tied her bike on. Totodile looked at her queerly.*
This is so it won't hover away. Besides, there's no nearby shallows to park it on!
*They hopped aboard the ship. Right now they were on the main floor. Maddy suspected the Scanner to be located on the second bottem floor but she wasn't sure. They walked around and checked all of the rooms on this floor. All they found was tipped over trash cans and damp beds.*
*They found the stairs and went down to the first bottem floor. There were fewer rooms down here and most of them were locked.*
I guess some things just refuse to be found.
*They checked the last room. There was a huge hole in the door that Maddy peeked through. By now, there was no light so she had to turn on her flashlight. The room was completely empty. Getting annoyed, they descended to the second bottem floor.*
*This floor was just as empty and was actually half underwater. Even though she didn't want to, Maddy waded through the water. It came up to her waist and was freezing!*
We should work fast, otherwise we'll drown in here if high tide comes around.
*Most of the doors to the rooms were very hard to get open since the water had them practically locked in place. Maddy had used up most of her energy just trying to open one.*
Maybe we should just look for doors that are open...
*Totodile dove underwater and zipped down the corridor. She found one open door but Maddy would have to go underwater in order to enter.*
Can't you just go in and grab the Scanner if it's even in there?
*Totodile crossed her arms. This was Maddy's mission and besides, she had to get wet at some point.*
Oh fine!
*Maddy took a deep breathe and went underwater. The coldness almost knocked her out but she quickly surfaced on the other side of the door. taking a few minutes to collect her thoughts, Maddy felt around the room. Her flashlight helped alot but she was half scared of what she might find.*
*After about ten minutes, the beam of Maddy's flashlight directed her towards a small treasure chest. The chest was sealed tightly so no water could get in and damage whatever lay inside.*
Totodile, get that chest. I'm not going underwater again until it's nessesscary.
*Totodile graciously obeyed and swiped the chest. Maddy took it in her hands but then a Magikarp flew out of the water, zooming right for her. Maddy ducked underwater to avoid the overgrown fish from colliding with her head. Totodile jumped the fish with a tackle!*
Magikarp's HP: 20-7=13
Magikarp just flopped around...?
Totodile! Use Quick Attack!
Magikarp's HP: 13-9=4
Magikarp just stared at the wall, blankly.
I might as well catch it.
*Maddy threw a Pokeball at the Magikarp. The ball didn;t even shake, Magikarp had given up instantly. not even taking the time to celebrate her victory, Maddy exited the room with the treasure chest in her clutches. Her and Totodile made their way up to the main floor and sat down outside in the warm sun.*
It's good to be out again... if this isn't the Scanner then I'm just gonna ignore this mission!
*Totodile bit the lock off of the treasure chest and it flew open, revealing a small piece of machinery. It was definitely the Scanner!*
Wow... For something that was made years ago, this thing looks pretty advanced!
*Hopping aboard the DX bike, Maddy made her way back to Dewford. When she got there, she put on some warmer clothes and cooked up a small lunch. After lunch, she packed up her things and went back to the Aqua HQ, the Scanner in her arms.*
