Rel..Can't vampires be effected by drugs if they're feeding off someone drugged?I swear they have a distilling process but they can choose not to.At least I think it's that way in vampire the masquerade(Sp?)

Hmm I would think not since in vampire their organs are inactive... but you know... if the person had a substance in their bloodstream that had a side-effect on a vampire's metaphysical body ((Some substances effect magic... such as garlic.)) Then I'm certain it could have an effect. Good question.

Then I'm certain it could have an effect. Good question. The brain would still have to be active, or else they could not move their bodies. If a drug effected the brain, such as a sedative or such, then a vampire would definatly be effected. If I remember correctly then a vampire must drink blood because it's own cannot substain it's body, or some similar effect. Why would a vampire need blood if none of it's organs are working to use the blood?

Some creatures such as Vampires and Werewolves have a motabalism that eat up iron in their bodies quickly, forcing them to replenish it quickly. For Vampires this is drinking blood which is rich in iron. For Werewolves it tends to be devouring large quantities of meat. 3nodding

Most vampires drink blood and if they are very old then they also feel off your suol. Zombies eat the flesh and the same goes wiht mummies.

Hmm you right since they do retain their memories of the the past I guess their brain is active, however I am certain the rest of their organs are not. You see they use systolic pressure like a plant to move instead using blood. It just so happens that, that is all that their magical bodies can effect is blood. Thus psychoactive substances could effect them, on that same token, however their would be no L.D. 50.

It depends entirely on what you're using as a template for your vampire.
In the whitewolf series Rel is right. The vampires take vitale which is located in blood,it's not the blood itself that is actually a useful source, but rather this mystical stuff in it.They use amounts of this to make their bodies do stuff.
In DnD a vampir edrinks blood because that's what they do to live. They are classed as undead and therefore immune to poison, drowning etc etc. They don't breath and don't have to.In all senses they are dead.Only their unearthly bond to this world keeps them alive in any way.
Regardless,in almost everything you read a vampire can be killed by completely destroying the heart or cutting off the head. Some strong ones can come back from such,so you destroy their whole body.
