I just thought Parappa had catchier tunes, even if I enjoyed playing Lammy's more. I still know most of the songs in Parappa 1 by heart. Plus, funnier s**t happened in Parappa, like Joe Chin and those two bully guys. "Plenty for everybody, right? ...and a little babe, too!" "...Yeah!" Lammy's story, while amusing, just didn't make any sense in the American game. Instead of dying and going to hell, she some how gets sling-shot around the world into a Volcano. Not nearly as epic.
And, at least as far as I recall, Lammy never had Tamanegi-sensei.
Hell yes, I love Minoru. Im so glad Reiko suggested it to me. It updates PAINFULLY slow on One Manga, though.

levi? based on the events of Leviathan Stadiums I and II.
i don't have a real concept or gameplay thing. it would work much better as a trpg than a jrpg.

i never beat that hell rock concert stage, because teriyaki gets really hard around the middle/end. oh, and my game froze so i could never get better.
lammy had the insane pilot, and that's the only char she really needs to make her story awesome. facing off against rammy wasn't bad for the game, either... since she went into COOL freestyle with the second turn, without fail.

i don't have a real concept or gameplay thing. it would work much better as a trpg than a jrpg. Okay, so you at least want it to be like a trpg. Why do you think that? Is there a lot of team vs. team battles during that time? Squad-based, etc that made you want this decision, or was it moreso out of personal preference? In addition, jrpg isn't a genre. It's just a subgenre of categorizing the typical rpgs that come from japan. Though are saying that you don't want it to be a jrpg in the sense of it being your typical party-based rpg that follows in some way like FF?

I've finished reading up to v5, which is the last one I could find that was translated. The training camp volume. It's like watching Silver training under Reiko or something.

Lammy's final stage was pretty awesome, after you finally got to the concert. Milkcan was an awesome band, at any rate. Nooooooooo~ cutting corners. We're on the boarder, nyooooooww~
EDIT: Yeah, that's where One Manga is. They're almost done with Training Camp and Minoru's about to get raped by that weird Brazilian guy.
If I ever have Silver start wearing his old gi more, Im so using art from Minoru.

i don't have anything concrete with this levi game idea. it's also 11:13 and my mind's not functioning correctly; i'm burning out. i may not explain myself as well as i should. keep this in mind.
yes, squad-based battles. i expect that the main char will move around latent and fight and get to the bottom of things, meeting other notable chars with the option to join up with them or something. because really, would you not like to see vahn beast straight through three panels forward, or lazenca maelstrom three panels horizontal, or ryugi use one of his ragnarok attacks on a + around him? yes, you would.
i don't know who the player char would be. making it vahn would kinda make sense, though i wanted to have a nobody rising through the ranks or something.

That means anyone who doesn't know about Levi can play the game and develop the nobody character however they wish. We'll discuss more tomorrow.

I'm wondering what the capabilities of the engine are... if it's FFT-type of Disgaea-type where actions are queued. Because having someone get Beast Straight'd back 3 squares into Miranda GETRIGHT slapping them 2 panels horizontally, only to be blitzed by Shouyin turning into Optimus Prime and running them over. About to get raped by the Brazilian guy, and someone's obviously going to fight the guy who looks like Skeletor. Though hell yes, you need to wear that gi more. Also, training montages. Glacier needs to hold a summer training camp for HoH, and hilarity must ensue.
