A duck under a blade before she dropped the tip of hers to the ground once more and blinked at him. Well that was rather eloquent and well rehersed now wasn't it. "Someone has been practicing his threats and arguments. Though a very nice one...Elven Twilight...I love it." Maybe a little harsh and a cause for confrontation and anxiety, but who knew what would be said...those may be the perfect response words. Though she thought she was more surprised that he had gotten her whole question. He was full of surprises today though wasn't he? Then a little laugh at the much simpler statement. He had his humor as well. Perfect elf to her, even with his flaws. "Though do refrain from chest gouging...so much hassel to instate a new leader after all." Another chuckle, before her blade was brough back up in quick movement.

Malik picked up quick, not to mention he was using the information from thier bond to filter and help decipher, since it was being used to help her defend herself.
"Chest..gouging..is for the storekeepers and such. I practice much. arguements about you and me, and your appearance."
and clang, her blade went up to meet his, and he twirled it around hers and pushed her back with his shoulder, trying to a knockdown by strategic placing of one boot behind her feet and a twirl that put his blade flat and thrusted forward..and if the knockdown worked, that blade came down.

Hey he actually got 'gouging'. Impressive. "I suppose that's flattery and love as well on your part." Another little chuckle as she looked past blades at him. Though okay, he caught her half off concious guard though her subconcious was making up where her cognative mind couldn't think fast enough. A little back skip over his boot, though she did drop, his blade of course following, and merely thrusting her own blade between his ankles flipping her sword horizontally and pulling back to effectly brace the blade on the back of his ankles as well as slide herself between his legs in one fluid motion to only pop up behind him, blade already arcing toward him again. Yup, so dead by now without this dance they seemed to know. "You'll certinally be leaving your mark in Andal, Lord D'vinn."

"I plan to..especially be quieting the sea elven queen...Lady D'vinn. and of course our wedding will be something to remember for them, just with the guests alone."
He didn't have to look or turn, just flip his sword back behind him, catching hers and and twilring in place bringign his to lock her blade and give her a shove back. although that was a neat trick.
"Think Zahara is still coming to the wedding?"
Picking up fast, wasn't he.

"You just want to outwit someone in a battle of words." Personally she was thinking it would end in a draw...either they would somehow agree to disagree, or someone else would step in eventually when things got too bad. Though a little cringe as her blade struck on his, a slight pain in her wrists from blade reverberation that she wasn't used to as they bladelocked once more before she was shoved and indeed stumbled back a little. Another smile as in conversation mode he was picking up the language easier. "As you said, it shall be an event. Honestly speaking...I don't know what she's doing...though I think she will, even if it's begrudingly so. Surface has peeked her interest." Then a grin as she straightened her stance and raised her arm, perfectly parallel to the ground from trained years of archery, glancing down the length of her blade at him with a little smirk. "Funny...how you let me have everyone you hate come to this wedding. I do hope you won't feel the enemy at your own wedding. That wouldn't do."

Arthur eyes slowly followed the drow to the bathroom and once she disapeared inside he quickly turned his gaze to the ground and blush just a tiny bit. You gotta stop thinking like that, I bet if Malik wasn't tied down she go for him... Arthur then sighed a little bit in frustration at Zahara's comment "Alright fine I wont, but it's just there remember that..." he paused for a moment as he watched the dark skin elf look at him before she shoved the hair off his ears. "Hey don't complain I lived around humans all my life I could have been thrown into slavery if anyone saw them so me and my family hid them, so sorry if I'm still a little shy being around other elves." Arthur didn't mean to be grumpy at all towards the drow he just didn't like it when people bug him about his ears, it's not like he is totally ashamed of his heritage he just hates it on how people make such a huge fuss over them. Slowly he removed the strap of his eye patch that pinned his ears down and let them pop up like Zahara's were. "There you happy?" he asked as he adjusted the strap so his eye patch wouldn't fall off.

Zahara leaned back and braced her hands palms down on the bed, bracing herself against the mattress while bringing her legs up on either side of the long piece of cloth and studying her boots for a moment. Dropping them back down she lightly tapped one on the floor. "I say it only for your own safety Arthur. It's far worse to be a human down here than an elf. Humans are easily broken, something most drow take advantage of. Drow lay in the shadows. They hide and wait for some unsuspecting creature to have the misfortune of choosing their path to walk on." She turned her head to face him more fully and brought her hands back, her voice dropping to a low, haunting rhythm "And when they finally do pass beneath, they leap on them and BAM!" she slapped her hands together extremely close to his face. "That's the last they are ever seen or heard from." She dropped her hands and smirked, "And don't think you can challenge one and win either Arthur. They don't play fair and you'd never get a chance to even raise your blade in defense. It takes five seconds to slip a blade between your shoulderblades. And no drow will hesitate to do it. You learned that with Malik to a point." Why was she warning him? Curiosity. She wanted to see how he would react. In her mind she was checking off whether or not he was worthy of her attention. After all, he was attracted to her and even though he was raised as such, he wasn't human. Elves had endurance...as did he. Not that she would be willing to throw all her hard work away, but if he didn't rate at all, well she'd like to find that out early on. Then she shook her head, "What possessed you to get into a fight with Malik D'Vinn in the first place? You had to have known you weren't going to win..."

Arthur blinked a few times as Zahara went off on how Drow go on to prey on humans since they can be easily broken. He shrugged a little and simply said. "Well I'm not like most humans..." his voice then trailed off as Zahara continued on and she tried to scare him when she clapped her hands together. All he did was blink, come on she lowered her voice to lure him in just so she could scare him like that. Arthur was trained better than to just flinch at someone clapping in front of his face. So the young elf just continued to watch her as she spoke until he was able to. "Well of course I learned that from my fight against Malik, and I was at least able to learn about some of the things he could do and what I should do in order to defeat him but still I must train more." He paused for a minute as he scratched behind his ear, having them exposed this long was kind of bugging him. "I was just in anger and that made me act like a fool." he said lightly and looked away when Zahara asked him why he fought the male drow. "I knew I wasn’t going to win but...something made me angry that is all..." why would Zahara wanted to know that he fought Malik because of her? after all he has only know her for how long?

And that was a complete evasion of the question. Seemed like Arthur was taking lessons from Malik in that department. She stood up and leaned back against the wall, adopting the semi-relaxed posture with her arms crossed and one foot back against the wall, her head slightly cocked and one eyebrow raised. "So you make a habit out of attempting hopeless pursuits...good to know." She tapped the fingers of right hand on her arm and shook her head. "But tell me Arthur, what did the almighty D'Vinn say or possibly do to upset you enough to take him on in a battle where you had your tail physically handed to you?" She knew all about the things that Malik could do to annoy people, she'd been the bearer of that annoyance since the day she'd met him.

Arthur lowered a small glare at the female drow, what was she trying to do piss him off? that's the last thing he wanted to do around her. But if he didn't answer her question she would either hate him or keep on asking so he had to tell her why. "After you left, he said about some plan finally taking place I asked what and he told me it involved you and Sevilin, he got you pregnat so he could bind Sevilin to his house..." Arthur's fingers were clenched into fists as his eyes were cast down. "I was taught that no one should be used for another persons gain unless they do it willingly and to know that he drugged you so he can get to Sevilin it just pissed me off..." Arthur paused for a minute as he took a small breath before he stood up and looked right at Zahara. "That's why I fought him, even if I got my a** handed to me I just had to do something, anything to him! he had no right to use you and I don't give two shits if it's alright in drow society it is still not right!" by now Arthur was angry, Malik didn't care about anyone but himself and that man would do anything to keep those he wanted or feared under his thumb. "So there you have it I fought him because of you because of what he put you through Zahara and all the pain you'll still recive because of him." Arthur's eyes were now looking down in embarrasment, his fists shaking out of anger of what that male drow has done, god what he do to teach that man a lesson just once!

Whatever answer Zahara had been prepared to scoff at it wasn't that. She stared at the other elf for a long moment, unsure exactly what to say. That eyebrow spiked even higher as Arthur began to rant and raise his voice much the way she did. Did she look that ridiculous when she did it? Probably. "You fought him for your sense of honor, not for me. Or at least not for me directly, more like because of me." The elf's human side was showing again. "What makes you think that he can cause me anything? If I don't want to have this baby, Arthur, I won't. It's a simple choice that he placed in my hands. I don't agree with his methods and I don't agree with his reasons, but for business' sake it was the most expedient and likely way to bind a powerful rune mage not only to his house but also to his service. Can you even begin to fathom the damage Sevilin could do were someone to tick him off? That drow, as annoying and passive as he is, could bring down the entire plane around our ears. Malik knows that and chose to avoid such a situation." She sighed then walked back over and sat down again. "I'm not going to say thank you because that was stupid Arthur. Malik and I have our own score to settle and when the time is right, I will settle it. You did something foolish in my name. But it is sweet that you're willing to stick up for me." her lips quirked as her mind played images of Arthur letting out a battle cry and racing toward Malik sword held high. She leaned down slightly and brushed her lips against his cheek. "Thank you." Oh look, she just went back on what she said. "Just don't do it again." The truth of the matter was, only Piper had ever stood up for her like that before. Must be a surface elf thing, how cute.

Arthur watched Zahara with a blank look on his face as she went on to counter act his own reason of why he fought Malik. "But I wasn't fighting for honor..." but he closed his mouth so the female drow could go on about how it was the right way to bind Sevilin to his house, which got him a 'You gotta be kidding me, you agree with him?' look on his face. "Listen I know how powerful Sevilin is, ever since I first saw him I know there is more power than what I first felt when I meat him! but what he did..." Arthur sighed in frustration and sat back down on the bed, when Zahara came over the first few words that came out of her mouth weren't comforting, it hurt when she told him he acted stupid. But the thing is he didn't fight in her name, no one knows he did it mostly looked like he fought out of anger for what Malik did but the people that lived here seemed to know more than what they should know so he couldn't really argue with that. Slowly he opened his eyes to her kind words before he felt her kiss his cheek, that red mark that seemed to surface on his face made its appearance once again and he looked away in embarrassment. And again she just bluntly told him never to do it again which wasn't a shock at all anymore. Huh maybe that kiss is all I'll ever get from her... with a small sigh he force a light smile and looked back at the female drow. "Alright then I wont Zahara." Then he slowly stood up and turned around to face her as she sat on the bed. "so I need a new shirt, where's this tailor you were talking about?"

"Hardly the enemy. in fact, Cymarron strengthens my position. only Kieran and Fianna..and you...have the slightest idea of what he is capable of. which should put some others that may wish to crash a 'unholy' wedding at arms length or at least give them pause. Zahara...we have our inherent dislikes of eachother...but I think she'll be more enamoured with the surface world than to be a problem"
He held his blade at a downward angle in front of him, blade tip touching the dirt. using the bond to in essence read her thoughts when she spoke, he was progressing very fast with learning the language. he was probably as fluent now as she was in drow.
"And I will not only outwit her, but I will best her."

"Such ambitions, dear Prince D'vinn." Might as well poke a little fun at what she would be giving to him via titles, yes? A flip of her blade in her hand once, easily as he may of been able to do it. She was sucking off his sword knoldege and he was sucking off her ease of surface elvish. Quite the nice exchange wasn't it. Then she let the tip of her sword back to the door, placing both hands on the pommel. "You wouldn't hit a woman in a dress, now would you?" Yes, purposefully said in taunt...would be interesting if he did strike...seeing as his subconcious could let him swing, but never connect.
Keely walked upstairs, tray of breakfast food in hand, a letter on the tray as well. Ugh, it was later than usual for Meilikki to have breakfast....but what with the whole dinning room fiasco, it was understandably late. Yes, Keely had three jobs these days. Kitchen, horses, and Meilikki...not necessarily in that order. But walking down the hall she came to her room, a customary knock before she turned the knob and let herself in. "Morning Meilikki."

Meilikki whipped tears away hastily with the back of her hand and took in a large breath. It was usually Tanundra who brought her breakfast...
She had managed to get dressed today, though she had forgone worrying about her hair or her face, and she was dressed in morning black, making her face look much paler than usual. "Good morning, Keely."
