After giving a good hearty dance and sing to proclaim his love of swing up on stage, the band shifted down in tempo for the next song.
Enzo pulled his keyboard over closer to the microphone, adjusted the size, and began to play, his voice a loving whisper across the crowd. "Well, after all that we've been through Would you still call this love, baby? 'Cause love's the only proof That the ugly could be beautiful.
God knows I'm feeling spent Though I've still got my money, honey Money's the revenge Of the ugly on the beautiful..."
His eyes drifted across the crowd as the lights shifted and several rats with bright lamps in their teeth wobbled around and near the box of bandstand mice, projecting the tiny band's silhouettes up onto the back curtain. He spotted Amarus milling about the crowd, and gave his friend a grin and a wink, and leaned down to sing directly at the pink haired ghost...
"Well, the drugs just ain't enough Though I like the way they made us crazy But love's the only drug Turns the ugly into beautiful..."
Put on a good show, right?
The music hit a break, he let a few rats take over the keyboard as he stood to take her hand and give her a twirl, bringing the microphone with him to keep going through the song...
"They were cute when they didn't move!" Amrita pouted, pinching his arm lightly for the wounded look that she just knew was fake. Granted, pinching worked a lot better when there was actually flesh to pinch, but the sentiment was there nonetheless. "You should be proud of them though! They're really well done...just kinda creepy that they have my face. And dress. Okay very creepy..." One more than the other, naturally. The ghoul gave a glance in the direction they had wandered off in as Mort told her about their like of her hair.
". . .No. No they can not.." Jack were they ever creepy! Which was a good thing, but come on...there were Puppet Amritas running around. The idea alone sent chills down her spine.
"Well, just came to make sure you're doing okay. I think Bella should be done soon, go get a dance with your pretty lady!" Her grip on his arm became pulling, to urge him out of the shadows and towards the dance floor for Bella. "I'm gonna go...I dunno, play Doll somewhere." She left him there with a wink and a smile, going to mill about into the crowd.
The first group she came across were students she hadn't met yet. Perfect!
Amrita walked up to them delicately on her toes, looking as much a stiffly walking doll as possible. The ghoul with them was looking a little upset, and so as she silently interrupted she plucked a flower from her little hat, managing a little twirl before offering it out to Miasma before casting a curious glance at the two near her.
"Oh my, this is quite the scene! Anything I can do to help?"

Jericho seemed fairly amused as Riley had managed to win something. While waiting, he went ahead and drank his lion tamer drink. He paused at how... soupy it was. Did he just get a cup of soup? Really?
"Woof." he started to say before blinking. Did... did he just bark?

Willow's ears twitched when she heard the word stray animal. "I'm not a stray." She growled a bit, forgetting for a moment the fact there were others around trying to bear her teeth and look as threatening as she could in this form.
Of course, it was short lived; though she wasn't sure if she liked Shaheen's date. "Nice to meet you Shaheen." Willow replied with a smile and nod, "I'll have to see about burning them."
Truth be told she wasn't sure she wanted to burn them in her room especially. "I should be free most of the night." Willow answered, "As I didn't have a date for tonight."
When Shik suggested him and Shaheen dance Willow gave a small wave "Have fun dancing." Well now she'd just have to find something else to do. Pity she didn't have a bag of holding, she could've shoved her shoes into it.
The song ended, and Enzo gave Amarus one last twirl, but didn't let her back down off the stage just yet, "Alright alright alright that's enough SLOW DANCING, ammirite?" A gesture to Joachim and the mice and the tiny amplified and projected rodent band blasted forth with a fresh bout of sound as Enzo twirled Amarus and juggled the microphone to begin to sing once again-
"I got a little boogie but it ain't too clean It's real low down and it's kinda mean The dirty boogie The dirty boogie When I get low down, it's the dirty boogie for me~!"
Roaches all swarmed from his coat, glittering in the lights across the stage as they fluttered their wings. Between the leaping rats in head lamps and projected forms of the mousey bandstand, the performance carried on as such until the end of the song.
Sometimes Erebus wondered what exactly Tomoko saw in him. Maybe he hadn't exactly been the one to ask her to prom, but she had said yes to him, nevertheless, and her words from earlier, "You're the best." still rang within him.
Prom royalty wasn't anyone he knew, so Erebus would just congratulate them in his mind instead. Also did that boil just say that slow dancing was over?
Thank goodness.
Erebus is a Cerberus bro and is wearing a fortune teller outfit.
He had, admittedly, promised himself that there was one person he desperately wanted to dance with, since she had been close to him - and last year their dance was cut a little short. It didn't matter if slow dancing was out - lively shuffling was better for him anyways.
Meandering carefully around the crowd, the tall catboil in the large dress stopped in front of her, and another boil who looked remarkably like Tack, before going to bow a little low, holding his dress out a bit.
"Hello Tomo-dear, I was hoping I could steal you away for a short dance or two, considering we kind of missed out last year." He asked, softly, hoping that she had a bit of time for the big cat. Turning to the Tack-mirror, he raised his eyebrows lightly. "No harm will come of her, I just wish to dance with my close friend." He admitted, ears flicking softly.

Giving a little grumbling sound, Gene chided Mot with a "tut tut" and a small frown. "Mot, you've got to eat a little bit more. I'm glad you've switched out the jerky, dear, but training as hard as you do without proper nutrition is dangerous." She sighed, shaking her head as they continued to dance along. "What am I going to do with you?

Uttam wasn't thick, or even slow - the soldier knew when he'd poked a lion too far; Uttam was also vain, however, and thought he could stay just outside the lion's range as he continued to poke at it. Even when Shik came in, he didn't get scared. A smile crept across his face as he took a step back, shaking his head.
"No trouble here, just explaining to the little ghoul the concept of ownership." He shrugged, a few bones creaking as he did so. Crimson eyes lit up with haughty, silent laughter. "Though I think she may be a bit too base to understand it."
"AND IT'S THE DIRTY BOOGIE FOR MEEEE!!" Enzo's song came to an end, and he beamed at the crowd, taking a moment to catch his breath before shooing the rats to start setting up for the next big thing. "Joa, don't move a muscle- NOW, Ladies and Gentlecreatures, thank you, thanks, the love's copacetic, I assure you-" Not many people were clapping but what the hell, Enzo was having a ball.
"You better stick around. Now, most of you might be aware we got ourselves a bit of a celebrity in our school, and he has agreed, FREE of charge, to perform HERE. AT AMITY. FOR YOU ALL. TONIGHT! RIGHT NOW! Ladies, keep your panties firmly in place, cause you will need 'em as I am happy to present, Radio Amity brings you THE ONE. THE ONLY.

Hel could only laugh. The topic, the dancing, and just Riley being so smug sold it all. Also…well, she couldn’t argue with that. She really couldn’t.
It seemed while they were talking though…the music had changed…oh. Hel looked around, before she looked back at the mindflayer. “Look at us just gabbing!” She announced. She then took the lead, and swept the demoness right on back over to Malodore and Jericho. “Good evening~!” She sang out in greeting to the plague doctor and to the dragon. “I have a delivery for you! No signature needed!”
She let go of Riley then, and just feeling goofy, brought the demon’s hand to her lips and pressed a kiss to her knuckles. “Riley, it was a pleasure.” She let her go, and then gave her bottom a friendly locker room pat. “Good talk.” She grinned and saluted them all before getting lost back in the crowd.
…Where she then slid up to West and Belladonna.
“Congratualtions!” She cried out to the both of them, and then proceeded to give West’s arm a manly bro-friendly punch, and saluted Belladonna. She then pointed to the witch, and looked up at the Wrath Demon. “I am stealing her right now.” She announced. For a dance, of course…but luckily she was kind enough to wait to see how West would take that first.

At Enzo's cue, a disgruntled looking gnome waddled up to a switchboard behind the makeshift stage, flipping the handle labelled 'Blacklights'.
Thanks to Halloween logic it did exactly as expected - it turned the stage pitch black.
A voice murmured sensually in the velvety darkness. It had that grungy, unmistakable edge of teen spirit, that awkward growl that was somewhere between a purr and a prepubescent whine. "Don't trip over your dress s**t s**t we're on - "
And then there was a brief silence.
"Hey there, gal pals," it whispered, and the sound somehow echoed, backed by FEAR and a lot of stage experience.
"Are you ready," it asked, and then amped it up a little as twin spotlights faded in...
"To go Underground?"
And then a cheesy synth track dropped in, and the music began.
Her feet kicked back and forth as she sat in the chair; eating away at her cheesecake. If this was the last thing she ever ate, she would be just fine.~ With her final bite, she smiled and lightly pushed the plate away from her. Then looking to TK as he spoke about dancing. "Oh dancing? Alice is right... You said you can't." She smirked definitely not as upset about the little white lie as the other ghoul. She sat there taking a sip of her drink as she watched the two of them.

The familiar's protests where cut off sharply as the lights went up and Emily whispered with fierce determination, "Monty Drumsticks!"
She actually hadn't brought any drumsticks to prom, and Monty hadn't been able to find them in her room when he'd been sent to fetch. He probably wasn't even lying about it, probably. But a ghoul's gotta do what a ghoul's gotta do, and this was what familiars were for, right?
If there was a bit of an unearthly yowl accompanying her sick beats, at least it stayed in time.

Enzo slank back, grinning all the while as he directed The Boss to bring them their bass, and a few rats gathered about Emily's feet to admire her proper use of a cat.
