Same... reeeeeally tired lately. And despite having my tablet plugged in, no joy on that Viera. It'll come, though.

I'm obviously keeping the b*****d sword because of plot, and because I still want to get a feel for it better, get the idea that I'm good with it.
But I'm trying to scale back on that and move Kael toward focus on a single-hand broadsword, probably something basket hilt. Has to do with how I'm trying to make him lighter on his feet because I've realized for a guy with no powers and no superstrength or toughness, I play him less agile/athletic than I should. Do more climbing, jumping, be more mobile by a bit, more action-hero-y. Combine that with really wanting to try out a sword-and-fist fighting style...
Also keep meaning to make my clockwork samurai.
...but he wouldn't really fight right with the katanas, what, being a clockwork mimicry and all. Probably carry a half dozen and keep breaking them via abusive use.

I imagine a clockwork samurai to fight like a regular one, but with...
...keyblades. Or at least a clockwork-themed sword. Bronze finish about the hilt, gear engravings, with the pommel [instead of the blade for the sake of not breaking it all the time] shaped like a key.

I was more thinking he'd be a bit clumsy. More automaton than human.
He'd be somewhat intelligent and get the whole discipline and dueling and servitude thing. Not so much more human aspects, or what makes a good opponent. Why a man with a sword is a threat and may be killed but a child waving a stick should not. And have a fairly stiff, hard striking version of one of the actual styles.
This has as much to do with style as the fact that I feel like it's as knowledgeable in the subject matter as to be able to handle.
I certainly don't know enough to be able to make a srs samurai and do it anything resembling accurately.
And I dunno what you're getting at. I LOVE breaking weapons.
The idea of him collecting every katana and wakazashi he can get his hands on, breaking them in fights or for other uses, and then sheathing what's left and keeping them on his person anyway... love it.

Make him able to pogo on a katana, and also levitate with one. Via swinging his arm in the air, and creating a helicopter type effect.

He is not Yoshimitsu.
Though I'd completely forgotten about him. If I ever make the character, might be worth considering how Yoshimitsu fights a little, but he seems too fluid and human mostly.

I was just throwing in a suggestion.
You have to admit, it would be really cool though. If someone could actually pull of Yoshimitsu's fighting style, and throw in some awesome stuff like that.
