"The reason she is hurt is not because I am." Reevis said simply as he sat on the floor, running his hand gently along the top of the small dragon's back. "She is hurt because she is dependent upon my life-force and mind, and I take both away from her when I... go do things. Do not worry about it." He didn't look at Ziven as he spoke, he simply looked at Twilight. Soon the dragon's tail began to swish back and forth as her energy returned rapidly.

She sighed and stood. Opening her mind to the little dragon again, she sent peaceful images, letting Twilight know she was not upset with her before walking away. Absentmindedly, she began to move around the room, tidying things up and making sure the bar was looking nice, avoiding having any further conversation about the care of dragons with Reeve. The dragons of this place were different than the dragons of the land they knew. There was no arguing this point and to talk about it would lead to that argument and she refused to go there.

There was a moment where both Reevis and the dragon seemed to be communicating. The man seemed to be troubled still, but the dragon was happy and strong once again, moving around on its own. Finally Reevis stood and walked into another room for a moment, not even speaking to Ziven.

Once he was gone the dragon spoke to Ziven once again. "Do... you dislike... Reeve?"

Turning slowly to the dragon, she looked as if she were on the verge of tears. "I like him fine. Reeve wished to forget me. I respect his wishes and will leave him alone." she said, her words completely devoid of emotion. After a moment, she smiled a bit, her eyes looking brighter. "Worry not, young one."

"That... stupid." The dragon said, still looking at Ziven curiously. Because it was linked with Reevis he could probably hear what it was saying, but it tried its hardest to block out what Ziven said from him. "Do... you... wish... to... for... get... him... too? Are... you... alright... with... that?"

She smiled at the little dragon and shook her head. "Quite the opposite. I made him a promise, I do not make promises lightly and I have yet, in my memory, to break one." she explained, again bobbing her head respectfully to the dragon.

Tilting its head curiously, its golden eyes shined for a moment. "And... what... promise is... that? That... you...will...give up... on him?" The dragon laid on the ground but continued to watch Ziven. It was very tired, but wished to finish talking with its new friend.

She smiled, a slight feeling of entertainment could be felt as she answered. "The opposite of wanting to forget is wanting to remember always. I do not wish to give up on him, I have not done so. My promise to him was that I would remain by his side for as long as he desired. In this moment .. he no longer wishes for me to be by his side .. so strongly did he feel this way that he .." she stopped as a fresh wave of sorrow and pain flashed through her mind, she quickly closed their mental link. She would not allow herself to let little Twilight feel such pain in her young life. Turning away, she took a moment to collect herself before continuing to speak. "Reeve decided it would be better not to have any memories of what we had .. of who I am .. rather, who I was to him."

The small dragon whimpered a little bit when the pain and sadness flashed into its mind. Thus far Reeve had sheided it from any sort of those feelings, allowing it to be happy. Despite this newfound feeling, the small dragon continued. "Have you... tried... talking... to... him? I... don't... know... what... happened... but... I... do not... want... either of... you... to be... sad... no more." The dragon closed its eyes, still keeping the link open. "He... hides... much... from me... but... I... know he... cares. Could... it... not... be the... same... with... you?"

She moved to Twilight's side and lowered herself to her knees beside the little dragon. Without hesitation, she gently lifted Twilights head, placing her chin over her knees. A moment later, a comfortable bed appeared under Twilight, making sure she was very comfortable. Gently she ran a fingertip between her eyes, helping to ease the young one to a comfortable sleep. "Perhaps Reeve and I will speak another time. Presently, he is concerned for you - as he should be. Your health and your happiness are the priority, ok?" she said, looking to her with a smile. She sent more calming images and feelings as she tried to make the little dragon comfortable for sleep.

The dragon was about to say something, but the images and feeling got to her quickly. Sleeping soundly, the dragon looked extremely peacefull.

A couple of minutes after Twilight fell asleep Reevis walked in. He walked behind Ziven, absent-mindedly placing his hand on her soulder for a moment. As soon as he realized what he did he moved away from her a bit, going to the dragon. "Thank you again, Ziven." He said in just above a whisper as he picked Twilight up. With a slight nod of his head he walked outside.

When Twilight fell asleep, she smiled brightly, pleased that she was able to help the little dragon off to sleep. When Reeve returned and touched her shoulder, she looked up to him with a bright smile until he moved away. Her smile fell again and she nodded when he spoke, not meeting his eyes. "My pleasure." she replied honestly. When he left with Twilight, she realized how empty and alone she felt. Inhaling deeply, she dismissed herself and her thoughts, instead tidying up what she had created for twilight to sleep on, unmaking it just as easily as she had made it. As she did this, her eyes filled with tears - she was gone with a small pop before any could fall, as they had been threatening to do.

Ayla slipped through the inn door rather unnoticed and quietly made her way into the kitchen. She had not had anything to eat for the past two days, and was starving. To mention desperate to get rid of her hangover, which had been tormenting all day.

Shuffling around in the kitchen, she emerged only moments later with a tasty-looking sandwich. The Psion inhaled the heavenly scent, and promptly seated herself on a stool by the bar. Blissfully ignorant to her surroundings, she took a rather impressive bite out of her meal and closed her eyes to savor the taste, a rather pleasurable moan working its way up her throat. "Food..." she sighed happily.

Footsteps echoed up the archway which lead to the darkness of Crow's dungeon. Heavy feet on stone steps sounded off, next the smell of blood would come rolling in. Blood and sweat mostly, finally the source for all of this came into the room. Yawgmoth. Fresh wounds seemed to cover his entire back, scratch marks mostly. Bite marks on his neck and chest some bleeding explaining the smell of blood. It was quite obvious what he'd been doing, he only ever allowed one person, one woman to break his skin open like that and continue to let the wounds bleed freely. After what they had done yesterday and most of the evening Yawgmoth had finally returned to the surface. He wore nothing but pants that were dirty and crumbled as if they had been lying on a floor forever and he'd just picked them up and put them on in a hurry.

Scanning over the room the crimson eyes of the tyrant spied but one living creature. The whore he had marked to toy with later, eating at the bar. Yawgmoth did not feel like putting up with her again today unless she decided to go at it first. He rather boldly walked right by her on the opposite side of the bar and fumbled around for something to drink.

Ayla's green orbs followed Yawgmoth's movements as she slowly chewed on the bite she had just taken out of her sandwich. She scowled in distaste at the scent of blood and sweat that seemed to linger when he passed her by. She kept quiet though, and continued munching away at her food.

She did not want to know why he was in the shape that he was, nor did she want to grant him the satisfaction of taunting her about it. She had her ideas, but that's all there was to it. Focusing her attention on her food, the Psion once again took a rather large bite while her throat worked those barely audible sounds of delight.
