The sound of spinning, followed by a click rang in the bar as Leo slowly aimed his gun at a wall, one eye closed as he pinpointed a fly. "Your lucky this place is a violence free zone, or you would be one messy pile of goo." The neko stated and kept the barrel trained on the buzzing insect.

She turned to Leo and smiled, tilting her head as she watched him follow the fly around with his gun. "Karma, friend. Live and let live." she said with a smile. Wandering closer to the insect, she cupped her hands, but did not seem to catch the insect, but a moment later, despite it being several feet away from her, it was not moving. She wandered to the window and set the bug free. "There we are, all better." she said with a smile. "How are you tonight?"

Leo responded and put his gun down sighing gently. "Lately...I'm starting on Project Exodus...You promised me some adamantine and mithral. "I will not harm you." she said softly, looking to him with alarm. She watched him with curiosity for a moment, though still looking concerned, worried. The fact that he went right on to something else confused her. She tilted her head, looking to him with a different kind of confusion. "My apologies, my promise to you had completely slipped my mind." With that she began to ease her way around the room, taking her time with tidying up the place as she went. She intentionally did not give more information, believing he was not interested given how quickly he moved on to a new subject.

Sitting up, his ears went flat. "Tell me Ziven....how do you feel on the subject on using cadavers as a test subject to bring about a new life form?" Leo asked before opening his eyes. "A new techino organic being; capable of independant thought and learning, but also programmed with certain aspects into it....Another question is how do you feel about cadavers being restored to life through science and technology?"

Stopping in her tracks, she pondered for a moment. "Monstrous." she replied simply. Sure, great and terrible things could come from such a technology but there was no way that she could see enough good ever coming from it to justify doing such a thing. The torture that her dear friend had gone through to be part of such an experiment .. she never wished to allow happen to anyone ever again.

"Figured as much....And that is Project:Exodus; I'm giving Solus a human body to inhabit, to live and grow in...Along with a few technological upgrades to keep him safe from God knows what lives in this place...but to do so, I need to find the right combination of materials and other factors to ensure his survival. Monstrous, perhaps. But this could make a technological breakthrough!!"
It dawned to him what Mariah had told him the night before he was taken away from Dalmasca. How it was a terrible act to the dead. Spirits and such nonsense....
"I have one last question Ziven: What are you willing to do to fill a void in your heart?"

She could not hold back. Looking to him, she shook her head. "No .. it is not a break through. You are hundreds, thousands of years even behind others. I have seen the creations of Mr Yawgmoth. They were created with exactly the technology that you are tinkering with today. It is not often I go back on a commitment .. but I cannot justify giving you the promised materials if that is what you intend to do with it." she said softly, bobbing her head. She would not ask for understanding or forgiveness, this was her choice and he would need to accept it. "I will understand if you are displeased with me."
As she said this, she moved toward the door, considering leaving Leo to his own thoughts, just as she intended to be alone with her own. The final question he asked her weighed heavily in the air. "There is nothing I can imagine that would fill the void in my heart. The more interesting question .. who would help or care enough to help achieve that goal. I will tell you now, the answer is none."

Leo sat alone, quieter then usual as he played her words back through his mind. Something wasn't right here in this place...He felt a little more.....cold, willing to make risks and sacrifices he normally wouldn't go for. "....Alone..." It was a bad feeling, one that made his mind begin to ache as he pondered over it more and more. Maybe this project was a bad idea, and Ziven was right. After all, who was he to tinker with the natural order of things?
"No....Solus was fine the way he was...nothing more or less....This is wrong. Project Exodus is wrong..I'm no cleric or God...I'm just an engineeer gunslinger, lost in some god forsaken place....I shouldn't be creating life...I should be looking for a way home."
This was a new goal...a better goal he could strive here. This place was corrupting him in a sense he did not like. His eyes filled with worry, he got up and headed home, intent on undoing his mess.

The little rat scurries from where it had been sleeping behind the pillow on Angel's chair. It sat up on the arm of the chair and sniffed around to see if anyone was about.

Bright green eyes looked up at the direction the bread crumb had come from whilst the rodent remained still. It was deciding if it should trust this free morsal. In the end the little furry one's tummy won the debate. It grabbed the crumb quicky and skirted off under the safety of the table.

Wandering in to the bar, looking completely wiped, Ziven wandered around the room some. After a few moments, she stopped in her tracks. Blue eyes stared, unfocused at the floor in front of her, fingertips gently resting on a table, her dress moving silently around her, though she was no longer moving and there was no wind.
