My Physics teacher likes to teach us AFTER she's given the quiz/worksheets. Like we are supposed to obtaint the information by osmosis or something. I hate it...

Drizzt would get owned by Raistlin.
Raistlin Majere. a sickly, thin, weak person..but the most powerful mage in all the world of Krynn. golden skin and eyes with hourglass pupils. a master at manipulation, particularly his strong, musclebound twin Caramon. he also has what appears to be a long lasting/terminal disease that has him cough up blood, for which he has a tea he drinks regularly. his eye are a curse I'd say, as he sees teh world as Time affects it. there is no beauty, only dying dead and decomposing things. save for the races (elves) who are not so affected by Time.
the most masterful stroke was convincing a cleric to help him open the gate to the Abyss..so he coudl conquer and take the place of the Goddess of darkness.
I wish I was Raist. razz

I have had the luck to be taught Physics and Calc by people who really enjoyed what they were doing, and I want to give that same felling back to people, trust even a hard subject can be interesting if it presented in the right way.

Yeah, you are closer to "normal" than anybody else in this guild...
But yes, it probably would be good to teach the chilluns important things when they're young so that they're not so intimidated when they have to face it. One of my biggest complaints with elementary and middle schools is that they do not take advantage of the learning abilities of kids. I do fairly well, but I would probably be doing better if they had actually taught IMPORTANT stuff and given kids that hunger for knowledge at an earlier age.
The essence of this world is waste. Most of my problems with people come from the fact that they are wasteful creatures (no, I'm not talking about failing to recycle paper here). Most people who have power over me (particularly schools) abuse it.
Dragonlance...now that was an interesting series. Raistlin was probably my favorite character, followed by Dalamar and...well, I don't really like many of the other characters. The whole time travel thing also really bugged me (yes, there are alternatives for visiting the past). There were a lot of things about the story that bugged me, but I liked how the magic/wizardy was handled.
I wouldn't call it a classic, since many of the ideas in it were common even in it's time...but it's good. Depending on how ambitious one is, it's probably worth the read.
