☽ Both tails went in front of Emma and blocked the attack. She growled again and suddenly unleashed a large stream of black fire towards Herald. ☾

Never Again...Herald grit his teeth as the flames overtook him, causing him to disappear momentarily under their blackish glow. Suddenly there was an explosion of green fire that pushed away the black flames like the sun pushing back the night. Herald stepped out in his kishin form. He seemed to go from standing still to racing forward in less than a second, rushing towards Emma with his fist curled and his arm cocked, going for a powerful uppercut to her chin as soon as he reached her. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma ended up taking the hit and went flying through the air. She landed and one of her tail suddenly rocketed across the field towards Herald in an attempt to blast him right in the gut. There were barely any signs of blue flames now, just a deep black. Emma was never this far into madness like this before, usually she just let it take over and let her third form vent it out. Now that she was holding it in, she didn't know the risks. All of that worry suddenly got kicked out of her head as she muffled a yell of pain and gripped her head. The large bakeneko shape did the same thing, her head bowing down slightly and placing a paw over her head. Her wavelength began to fluctuate suddenly as well, leaving her open again for another strike. ☾

Never Again...Herald reached out and caught Emma's tail as it shot towards his torso, grabbing it as it pushed him back several feet. His muscles bulged as he finally threw it to the side and out of the way. He saw that she was struggling and that her fire was now almost black. He realized what was happening. She was attempting to control her power. He began walking towards her slowly. Intermittently he would take a small breath and fire a green fireball at her. Enough to do a small amount of damage and force her to struggle but not enough to really affect her. He was attempting to help her focus her rage rather than suppress it or let it run free. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma continued cringing before feeling the fireball. She began exhaling a large amount of black fire at the ground before her almost red eyes locked on Herald and she launched the stream of fire at him. ☾

Never Again...Herald seemed to vanish as Emma's black fire raced towards him. In a moment he was above her, preparing his own counter-attack. He came streaking down out of the air, aiming to slam his full body into the small of Emma's back and crush her into the ground. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma's wavelength began to fluctuate even more now. She looked up and saw Herald above her and quickly launched a huge thing of black flames right at her feet, blasting her away from Herald and hopefully having enough force to knock him back too. The black flames on the giant bakeneko cleared then as Emma skidded on the ground. Almost her whole body was covered in symbols that resembled black roots. She was on the ground for a moment before her soul wavelength fluctuated again and she jumped up to her knees, bent over now with her hands on her head. She panted as the madness was reaching its maximum basically and it could be felt all around them. Black fire pulsed around her as she was wide open. She remembered this then and tried to create a barrier which ended up being just a bunch of lasts of madness. So many things were itching in her head. Memories, words, things that only made her feel worse than she already was. She muffled a yell again as her soul wavelength worsened and she hit her head on the ground to try and maintain whatever sanity she had left. Her hands were beginning to resemble claws now and were piercing her head slightly, making blood trickle down her face. The black fire continued to grow around them as Emma continued fighting the madness and trying to get rid of it most likely. White embers could be seen here and there suddenly. ☾

Never Again...Herald held his ground as Emma blasted away from him, using his resonance force to resist the blast. He watched as she attempted to create a barrier and failed. She was definitely closer to losing control than suppressing it, so he had to try and push her back in the direction of control and not aggravate her towards losing it. He walked forward to her, not attacking. "Fight it Emma," he told her calmly as he watched her struggle. "It is your power to control. Don't let it overwhelm you. You are its master, not the other way around."Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma continued gripping her head while the tattoos seemed to cover her whole body then, making her muffle another yell as the madness was now affecting her completely. Black flames began exploding rapidly around her, almost like the flames itself were trying to get her to lose focus. She continued pushing it though, she couldn't give up now despite how much it hurt. She managed to open her eyes and focus on the ground, moving her hands away from her head as well and making them dig into the dirt. It looked like something was trying to slam her into the ground from how her arms were shaking and trying to keep her up. Emma's eyes now began going from violet to red as she gritted her teeth and trying to push the madness out of her. Herald's words from before gave her an idea. Much of her madness was in that seal and would eject itself into her and make her eventually lose it, what if she pushed the seal to its breaking point and allow the madness to suddenly concentrate around her instead of in her. It sounded like a good idea at the time before she began fighting, but now that she was dealing it it... Emma's wavelength fluctuated again and she let out a small cry before gritting her teeth again, the flames were becoming much more violent around her and began surrounding her so only black was in her vision. Small white flames began to be seen in some of the fire surrounding the battlefield then. ☾

Never Again...Herald moved closer to Emma until he was just out of paw's reach. He could see that she was still fighting it and she seemed to be doing better. "You're doing it," he told her calmly as he waited. He held still, carefully watching her as she let out a cry and the black flame continued to swirl around her with flecks of white flame continuing to appear. Herald wasn't sure what this was but kept his concentration on Emma herself. Will I be bound in chains

The back of her neck hurt the most, it felt like her skin was boiling. After what seemed like years of fighting it off, the seal broke. Madness inf the form of black flames suddenly blasted in every direction from around Emma and the symbols on her body began to recede. The black flames that surrounded her suddenly flashed to white and covered her completely. Her soul wavelength stabilized and also seemed to become much stronger now while the remaining black flames disappeared. The white fire surrounding Emma died down and she stood there with her eyes squeezed shut, also looking pretty different. Her hair seemed to be made of the white flames and several new marks were on her torso, arms, and face. They were red at first but slowly became illuminated with the same flames as well. Never Again...Herald raised his arms to cover his face as Emma's flames exploded outward, burning him and the area all around the battlefield. At first when the seal broke he was expecting the same third form that Emma had; one filled with madness and violence. But to his surprise, she had taken on a new one. This one definitely seemed calmer and more stable. It seemed Emma had finally been able to master her third form. Despite himself, Herald gave a small smile. "Well done," he told her as he looked her up and done. She was definitely stronger and she was still in control of herself; better able to put that strength to good use. "I'm guessing you've never seen this before?"Will I be bound in chains

She glanced up at Herald when he asked her a question "No..." she said, glancing at her hands again, mainly at the marks "This is pretty new..." she said.
