Hakaru studied his hand before laying them down on the table. "That's all I got." he said, scratching his head some.
Mina soon came in and smiled. "Mind if I sleep here?"

Kai raised her eyebrows and nodded. "That would be a flush. Basically, you beat everything underneath a Full House. However, Full House beats flush, so I would've won. Seven card draw is played the exact same way, except with seven cards." When Mina walked in, Kai recognized her vaguely and shrugged. "I don't mind," she responded, looking at Hakaru.

Hakaru looked to Mina and smiled. "Go right ahead." he said with a smile before loking back to Kai. "Sorry. I'm not that good at cards...."
Mina smiled more as she was let in, going to an available cot and laying down. She tucked herself in and got a book to read before she fell asleep.

"It takes a while for someone to get good at something they're new to," she said dismissively, collecting the cards up again and starting to shuffle them. "There are two more games; the stud games," she said, dealing the two down cards and the first flipped up card. [OOC:] Sorry about all the poker stuff. I can't find anyone who ever wants to play with me, so I'm going into withdrawl *_*

[OOC:] Tis ok. ... ... How I so want them to make out and Damian walk in on them... Oh gods what's wrong with me! *panics*
Hakaru watched Kai deal two cards, one face up. He had seen this game before, but he only vaguely remembered the rules... The prince peeked at his flipped over card, wondering how to approach this.

[OOC:] No, no, there's nothing wrong with you. It would be funny. Y'know.... they might not be making out when Dami comes in, but he could play with them and they could bet dares rather than money (since they don't have squat with them) Kai flipped over her two face down cards, which were a three and an eight, and did the same with Hakaru's. She pushed them aside from the face up cards to make it distinctive. "There would be bets put down now. This is the seven card version, by the way. Five card you would only put down one face down. So, The entire table can see one of your cards, and the betting starts with the person with the highest card on the table. The dealer deals out another face up card, and with each card dealt there's bets. The seventh card is dealt face down. Which means that four of your cards are on the table, but even if you only have a pair on the table, if you have a three of a kind in your hand, you could win the game. Or, if you have two clubs on the table, and three in your hand, that's good, too."

Hakaru nodded once again to Kai's explanation. All this was making his head spin, but he'd sit through it. But one side of his hoped Damian would bunk elsewhere for tonight.

Unfortunately for Hakaru, Damian had been on his way up to the cabins, bored now with the bonfire, and had caught Mina's and Hakaru's scents in the same area. Since he'd been mentally trying to decide which one he would follow, this made his life much easier, and he pushed open the cabin door with a wide grin. He caught sight of his brother being taught poker by that mermaid who'd saved his life and raised his eyebrows, walking over. "How do you play poker without chips or money?"

Hakaru looked up to see his brother walk in. He gulped some. "Well she's jsut teaching me... I don't think we've moved to betting yet, gambler." he said a bit sharply. Damian always did take too many risks....

"The best way to learn is to practice," Damian pointed out, pulling a chair up to the table and shooting a look at Kai. Kai shrugged and looked to Hakaru, collecting the cards up again and shuffling. "So, Haka-kun, are we gonna play poker, or are you going to back out?" Kai rolled her eyes at Damian's tone and shuffled the cards sharply. "You seem to have forgotten what you yourself pointed out: What do we have to bet with?" If you listened carefully, you could hear the muttered idiot under Kai's breath.

Hakaru got a little flustered, but he considered backing out. As Damian thought of his betting system, he started to get up. "I-It's getting late for me... I might jsut head to bed."

Damian reached up and grabbed his brother's shoulder, forcing him to sit down again with a smirk. "I've got the perfect system. We bet dares. To anty, you've gotta agree to one dare. You pile up as you dare, and whoever wins has to challenge to losers to their dares. Agree?" he asked, mostly asking Kai. Again, Kai just shrugged, but she nodded too, shuffling. "See? She's in. You're not gonna back out now, are you?"

Hakaru stuttered some as he was forced to sit back down. "B-But both of you have played this before! T-This isn't fair!" he said before glaring at his brother. One of the only times he glares. "You're doing this on purpose!"

"Yes, yes I am," Damian responded to Hakaru's exclamation as Kai started to deal out a game. "Name of the game?" Damian asked. "Five Card Draw," Kai responded as she dealt. "First bet to Hakaru."
