"well, I assume you should go see Okaa-san, Serena-san, or Tora-san. I have no work for you to do. but maids are supposed to clean rooms, clean the halls and such, if that is done you may ask for work, i suppose." Sakura thought for a minute, "oh! do you know where the maids quarters are?"

Tora heard the sweet voice of mother calling her. "Up here, Mother," she called out. She giggled at Rose's comment. "Hurry and put the other one on!" she giggled again. She heard mother's footsteps and smiled.

"No, Sakura-san, This place is very new to me...will you show me?" the young maid's head twisted and looked around the room again, taking in the atmosphere.

she finishes, her face to the mirror. she sets it down and faces Tora, looking just like a porcelin (sp?) doll "How do i look sister..?" she smiles, eyes squinting ever so slightly

"Well follow me." Sakura lead Kiyo down the hall to the maids quaters, "This is where the maids sleep. Do you need anything else? If not I shall be in the maiko's quaters."

Kiyo bowed to the Maiko. "thank you, Sakura-san. I guess all i need know is work? Shall i go to the kitchens to begin?" she seemed almost eager to start working. She had decided that to become a Maiko she should help as much as she could. Already she was spotting dust on the entryway floor that needed to be swept, and a cobweb in the corner.

Sakura smilied at the young girls eagerness to work. It reminded Sakura of someone. Sakura walked to the maids quaters and picked up her Shaimsen and went outside to pratice.

Blinked at the leaving Sakura and found a broom in one of the closets. She swept the entyway until she couldn't see any more dust, then used the pole of the broom to pull down the cobweb. THe spider who lived on that particular web crawled onto the broom handle and Kiyo let it go outside. She watched it crawl away then turned around to look at the Okiya. "it looks clean to me" she murmured.

Kiyo ponedered a moment, then noticed the sky darkening. "Oh, i need a cot" she noted, turning towards the maids' room. She found one in the corner, leaning against the wall and pukked it down, brushing dust off of it.

As Rose finished her make-up, Ayame finished her cup of tea.
"Rose-san, you look wonderful!" she exclaimed, laying the delicate fine china cup on the table.

Tora smiled at Rose and Ayame. "Yes, you did a wonderful job, Rose-chan, dear." Tora picked up one final item, the lipstick, Kyo Beni- a green cake-like texture. "One last detail that makes a geisha, or maiko, a geisha or maiko, are her lips. Rose, this is the most extreme part of our make-up." She passed the stick to Rose. "Outline your top lip with this on a wet brush, then just the middle part of your bottom lip." Tora began to tell the reason behind that. "Just as geisha and maiko have different hair styles, kimono styles, and collars, we also have different lips. Once you are a full geisha, you may color your whole bottom lip," she says with a smile. "After you ouline, only then go back and color in."

She does as tora says, her hand a little unsteady as she was afraid it would look deformed, and that didn't help. it was a little jagged at the top, but she was able to fiz it on her top lip because she was loo low anyway. she finishes with her bottom lip which was perfectly half colored. she smiles to tora.
