Smile now turning shy, she turned away slightly from Seisuke and bobbed her head. "What do you mean, Seisuke-ona? Usually I wear the same in blue. Today I was feeling bright when I woke, so I decided to wear white." she said softly. Turning her attention to him again, blue eyes quietly watched him, her smile partially hidden behind her scarf. "How rude of me! Have you met Nexum? He is a phoenix, usually accompanies David however he seems to like me and is currently staying in my company." she said softly, bobbing her head again. Nexum made a soft humming noise and puffed out his chest, but did not move from his perch in the rafters.

She laughed quietly. "Nonsense! No one I know is getting married. And I am still rather certain that I will not be wed." she said with a giggle. Looking to Seisuke, tilting her head slightly, she still smiled, bobbing her head. "Nexum will present himself to you when he is ready. If contact is attempted before so, he will not appreciate it and will not stand idle."

She still smiled, though her cheeks went pink, looking incredibly shy. Unsure why he would act in this way, she tried to continue with their conversation. "I am pleased that you find this amusing, I believe. Would you care for tea?" she asked softly.

Waking in the rafters, after having fallen asleep there the previous night, Ziven stretched and looked around. The only who could be seen was Nexum who seemed to be sleeping near by also. Instinctively with animals, she sent him peaceful thoughts before remembering he would not accept this. Not wanting to bother him, she moved as quietly as possible against the support beam so she could sit up. This was in vain though as the phoenix had clearly heard or felt her stir and began to hum. Looking to him, she smiled. "Good morning."
Warm iolite eyes opened slowly and gazed upon the girl. There were few words for the morning, she said them, so he nodded in agreement and return of these words. What she likely had not realized was how much he felt when she sent her thoughts. "Always so empty. What void is it that you try to fill I wonder. Tell me of your past, your life. For this .. you may reply with your mind, I would not ask you to speak this aloud." the phoenix inquired of her.
Blue eyes turned to him, curious and mildly confused by his question. Still, she did as requested. "When I was very young, I was left on the steps to my masters house. There they taught me most of what I know today, magic, language - both the ancient language and that of man - many other subjects. Before I arrived, they lived a life of solitude, both having agreed to take a much needed vacation from many of their responsibilities, though they still kept where they could be contacted when needed.
Where they went, I went. Many experiences with them I am certain I would not have if we were not together. Very few people seemed to care to spend much time for me. This became all too clear one day .. I was banished from the elven village. Then on, we together nearly exclusively stayed in the home they shared with me, venturing together to the villages of men when they needed help. After many years, they decided I should go on my own. That is how I have come to be here today. I have finally found people who accept me for who I am. This is what you wished to know?" she asked, unsure if she had answered well.
Ruffling his feathers, her words were of the most sincere pain he had heard in a very long time. "Void of family. A place that cannot be filled no matter how you try. That is why you try so hard to please others around you, that much is clear. No matter how much love you show these people, they will not be your family, your actions to them, especially when they are ungrateful for your actions, will not fill the hole in your heart, will not soothe the burning you feel in your soul. Though .. you likely know this by now and continue with this cycle because you do not know how to break free short from finding family."
Tilting his head, he watched her for a moment, surprised when she so readily nodded to acknowledge his words with a small nod, a tragic look of hurt and humiliation on her face for being read so easily. "Whenever you realize these thoughts and feelings are weighing on you, tell yourself you are not alone. Even when you are, tell yourself that you are not alone. These experiences make you strong in ways that most do not realize. One thing that you must realize and you must become more aware of is how controlling of your interactions with others. You keep everyone at arms length, even if you are holding them in your arms. Those who care for you .. let them care for you. Stop pushing them away. Doing so is a great dishonor to their kindness." With a soft sound, he pulled his wings close to himself, iolite eyes still watching her silently, giving but one sage nod to bring emphasis to his final words.
Everything he said was so wise, somehow feeling like a slap in the face. How could anyone be so aware of her thoughts and feeling, especially when one had known her for such a short time. Bobbing her head slightly when he finished, she, looked away, tucking her legs under herself more, as if she were trying to hide in plain sight.

David materialized in the bar's rafters, light eminating from his body. When he became solid, he softly chuckled. "Nexum, I didn't know you could hold a conversation, this is a shock, do you have a crush on Ziven or something?" His good humor stopped wen he saw Ziven, curled up with a look of sorrow and confusion on her face. He lept over to the rafter that she was on and sat next to her. He placed his arm around her, trying to look into her face. "I am sorry if Nexum's words hurt you, he is cruel in his wisdom..." He stopped, unsure of what to say next.

As she realized David had appeared, she sat up. When he put his arm around her, she was surprised but tried not to show it. She did not want to face him. Hands resting gently in her lap, she spoke softly. "All is well. No matter how harsh the words one speaks may be, when they are said with kindness, I welcome them." Inhaling deeply, she looked to him, a small smile on her lips though her eyes betrayed her, still looking empty. "How are you, David?"

"It is not me you should be concerned about, it is you and your lonly lifestyle. I have lived this life that you now do, and it is not a pleasent path. When you live on this road for too long, it becomes inter-woven in all the other paths you may choose to take. If you keep to this path, your life will become miserable. As you may have noticed, I try to socialize, I try be around others, but my life, no matter how full I try to make it, leads back to lonlyness and sorrow. Please, do not let yourself live in the same way that I do." When he finished his speech, tears were flowing down his cheeks. "What David speeks is the truth. He has, against his true nature, become a sage, a true sage. His life was so empty, he cast off the world and went deep into solitude, where he gained ultimate enlightenment. But, after hundreds of years of this life, the lonlyness he felt became unbearable and he returned to the world. He quickly adapted to the changes that had occured, but struggled to fit in. He was unskilled with people, and alienated thoes that came close, so once again, he went into a solitary search, this time not for enlightenment, but for aceptence." Nexum hung his head, sorry for betraying his companions trust, but he felt that what was said needed to be said.

Lowering her head ad they spoke, she listened carefully. "If only the choice was truly mine to make I would not ask anyone to stand by me. How could I when I yet have so much to learn? It would be terribly selfish and unfair of me." she replied simply.

"You are a fool. The life of solitude leads to only one thing, despair." David dropped from the rafters and headed to the bar. Nexum, dissapointed with her awnser as well, quickly followed and landed on David's sholder. "She is a fool, it is no use trying to talk to her." Nexum simply nodded his head in agreement.

Silently her clothes began to flow around her, hearing their words.When she spoke again, her words were no kinder than theirs. "And there it is. The reason I do not call on others, the reason I am alone. No one truly cares enough to understand, only enough to say they care yet when there is a need, they betray theit words and abandon their cause." she said softly. Turning away from them, again leaning against the support beam, she began singing a tune of the ancient language, hiding her tears from sight and sound.

David, his temper short already, erupted. His energy radiated from his body like the heat from the stars themselves. He burst into golden flame (simalar to goku when he goes super sayan) and his eyes obscured by raw power. He levitated into the rafters where he spread his wings, causing a site that would strike fear into any heart. When he spoke, his voice boomed throuought the bar . "My cause was betraid because you would not accept the advice. I allowed Nexum to speak to you of my past so you could understand the suffering I don't want anyone to have to go through. I explained the devistation of solitude on one's spirit, yet you completely disregarded it. You are starting on he same path that I started on long ago, and you will end up with the same result. It would not be as devistating as I have had to suffer, were you a normal human, but I see that you have been gifted by the elves, giving you a much longer life span. I urge you to escape this path you are on, before you end up like me."

Wincing the moment his energy increased, instincts told her to curl forward. Her back still facing them, half his tactic was in vain. When he moved closer, she cried out quietly in pain, moving her hands to her head. "You are hurting me." she said softly though it was likely he would not hear her over his own voice. Losing concentration on her surroundings, she found herself falling to the floor, landing with a loud thud.

David realised that she fell and quickly flew down to her, his energy dissapitating at his decent. He landed near her and nelt next to her, half picking her up and cradling her in his arms. "Ziven, are you ok? How badly are you hurt? Can you ever forgive me? I...I forgot how sensitive you were to my energy..."
