A Name of Power

Bashful Bookworm

Tilting her head, she looked at Yawgmoth with a confused and irritated expression. "With the exception of laughter just now .. this bird has not spoken a word. That is hardly babbling, especially not inceccently so. What truly has troubled you today?" she asked boldly, looking at him with a curious expression.

Yawgmoth snarled turning his feral noises towards Ziven. "Shut up woman. This doesn't concern you." Yawgmoth grumbled before continuing to answer her question. "What has troubled us? An idiot laughing bird waking us from slumber that's what. We are not a happy person when we are disturbed from sleep before we wish to rise. And we absolutely dare you to make some snide remark about that. See how long it takes our hands to be around your puny little neck if you do" Yawgmoth finished with a growling noise that emitted from his chest. The noise sounded like that of a lion's snarl and a demonic growl combined to form one horrible threatening sound.

"Snide? Hardly. If you would recall the conversation we had previously, it is no more your fault than it is ours for choosing to sleep here just as it is ours to be here to socialize." she replied honestly, softly. Having said this, she stood, watching him carefully.

Yawgmoth's muscles tensed and the dark king vanished from the raftors. A moment later a sudden impact smashing into the ground near Ziven, more than likely hard enough to unbalance her but that was not his intention. His intention came with his arm extended and a gathering mass of purple energy swirling in his palm. "Then it is also your choice to disturb the sleeping bear. The bear chooses his cave on his own yet the cave is public and freely accessible by all the forest animals. But none of them go in. Why? Because this is what happens when you wake the sleeping bear." Yawgmoth said gritting his teeth. The worst side of Yawgmoth showed when something disturbed him from slumber. Be it his recurring nightmares or some idiot making noises. He had learned to tune out sounds of voices and the like because in part Ziven was right but his analogy too stood correct. Yet the obnoxious sounds like the sound of a bird brain laughing, those woke him. And it was always best to let sleeping dragons lie.

Suddenly Yawgmoth very quickly across the room, directly next to her. With a small squeak of surprise, she was not able to move until she saw him and everything was already done. Losing her balance some, she disappeared with a small pop, moving to the other end of the bar. There she crossed her arms and looked at him with an irritated expression. "Sleeping bears would sleep in their caves, in a place where they would be undisturbed. They would not venture out to the picnic area where people and creatures who seek the company of people are known to go. You may be a bear to work with, but your sleeping habits do not match your comparison to the bear."

She makes a valid point* Ali laughed a little once he had spoken, standing in the door opening with his arms crossed and leaning towards the right frame around the door. The metallic jaws moving closer and further apart as he seemingly breathed, mist exiting like it would usually do on a cold winters day.*

Still looking at Yawgmoth, she arched a brow slightly with Ali's comment, grateful that he was agreeing with her. Slowly she turned her attention to him for a moment to greet him. "Good afternoon, Ali. I hope you are well."

Passing Ali at the door, Reko made his way to a nearby table, leaning back and putting his feet up. He folded his hands on his lap and watched the scene.

As well as I can be due to the circumstances * Ali lowered his head a bit and gave the impression of narrowing his eyes at her and Yawg, the other person didn't interest him.*

Yawgmoth's arm swirled towards her following where she had moved to. "While it would be pointless to argue with you about the bear analogy here is something you'll understand. We are the king here. No one is going to stop us. Certainly of all people to challenge our might it won't be you. So then little girl. You're taunting what you know to be an evil and all powerful force. Does it amuse you? Because it's sure going to be amusing splattering your body parts over the bar if you continue. Does this analogy work better for you? Or should we describe exactly what we plan to do if you run off at the mouth again?" Yawgmoth said in more irritation and anger at her and at the fact that Aliator had arrived and not only arrived, but supported her statement. He had completely ignored the other person as his attention was highly focused on Ziven and it was hard not to focus somewhat on Aliator since Aliator proved his statement wrong just by being there. Aliator was the only person in the room who could potentially stop him.

"Interesting how often I hear such things from you. It means less to me every time I do. There has never been a time where I have intentionally provoked you. Simply happening to be in your presence seems to be all the provocation that you need.

So I will correct you in saying that I am not taunting. I am merely doing what I can to come to an understanding with you, a feat which I believe is not possible to achieve." she said in her normal, cool tone. There was no sound of taunting nor disrespect in her words, despite they being interpreted as such. Though she had returned her attention to Yawgmoth after greeting Ali, her posture had not changed at all, still calmly standing, with her arms crossed loosely over her middle.

* Ali simply watched the two of them, smiling somewhat. Or at least looking like he is. Yawg was apparently in a pissy mood, male PMS perhaps?* Yawg, Chill.

Turning her attention to Ali again, the smallest of smiles appeared on her lips. "If only it were that easy, we would not be having the discussion we are presently."

Ziven scratched her head. Laughter? There was nothing that should be laughable in what she said. Perhaps simply the irony of her speaking in an attempt to bring Yawgmoth in line with her logic? "Nothing I have said should have evoked laughter. What is on your mind?"
