I just started reading the Iliad the other day (we had to read the Odyssey in high school, no Iliad), since the idea of moving to Ireland and learning Gaeilge and studying trad music seems like it's no longer an option for me, as much of life long dream it's been.... figure I'd start reading other mythology, see what speaks to me. Haven't gotten very far yet, as the version I have in my Western lit anthology from high school only contains a few of the books, but what I've read is.. special. I really like the music aspect of the Greeks though, I've been looking into the Mousai and Apollon a bit. Need to find more myths and stuff to read though.

Great. Apparently calling your coworker vile names is harassment, but it isn't okay to do anything about it without your scores for "Teamwork" on your review suffering.

Illiezeulette @Celeblin Galadeneryn: i went back and read your rebuttal. really good. in fact, it made me think about switching my religion major to classics. i wish i had lots of $$$ so i can keep going back to college and learning forever. then i'd eventually pick up politics and astrophysics. If you're interested in an update on that apparently Cyrus and I have ruined paganism for everyone. That's right guys, you can all go home, we ruined it. Sorry, couldn't help it, we're just dicks. xd Tea may continue with business as usual. wink

Celeblin Galadeneryn Tea may continue with business as usual. wink Ah, the joy of being able to theologically justify why I can't be considered pagan. Quote: Were they just vile names, or vile names the UN has sanctions against? To be fair, I think after all I have been through in the last couple months, if it was anything more than vile, I would likely have ended up in jail on assault charges.

ViVi, are you in Lance's anti-fluffy guild? It's in there.
Sadly some of it is in PM. though Rai basically says it all in the posts there: I'm wrong, I ruin paganism much like an Evangelical ruins Christianity, and the proceeds to misunderstand what I mean by sacred oath and says that Zeus can't POSSIBLY be oathbound because he ******** mortals, nevermind I was talking about Zeus being responsible to keep his oaths, such as his favour of kharis owed to Thetis.

I'm a little speechless by the bold. What in the world does that have to do with oaths and oathbreaking, unless Zeus made an oath to Hera that he wouldn't sleep around anymore?

She thought I was saying he's oathbound, as is secreted away from people. It made no ******** sense. He kind of gets that later on though, but it's more Aphrodite learning her lesson and saying she won't make Gods fall in love with mortals anymore.
