She studied it for a moment and then nodded, "Yes I quite agree. Elegant indeed, something I've never really been before." It was kind of strange showing off for a male, actually trying to get his opinion and having it mean something to her. She swirled the cape and settled it right back into place on her shoulders, feeling the satin fall against her skin, then reclosing it with the purple fastener that matched her navel ring. "You know, I never told you but I really like the way your leather jacket looks on you. It's nice, gives you a....polished look." And now she was blushing. Why was she blushing? She almost never blushed until she got around Sevilin. Well, now things were sufficiently awkward, weren't they? Quick, fill the awkward silence with something to say. "Do you always have to maintain the energy like this or is this just something for a beginner?"

He blinked at her a moment as the compliments were turned around and he was now the one getting them. A look down at his clothes, bringing a hand up to touch at the leather and then grab hold of it for a moment in a tight grip, almost as if he wanted to rip it off of himself right then and there. Compliments...he didn't know how to handle them at all. But he stood there a moment and let his grip loosen, running his hand over his face and back through his hair lightly. At least he had his chainmail back on today under his tunic and jacket.
"Um...thank you. I guess I do strive to at least look presentable." Though beat him if he knew why. He hated looking attractive, yet he always dressed in a nice clean, possibly attractive manner. Made no sense to him at all. He called it a quirk put in place by his sisters most likely. Though oh good, a subject change. Who cared it is was horribly noticible, it alleveated the awkwardness. "Um...I suppose you don't. Though I always do. Good to learn if you're going to be useing them a lot and what not. If it makes you uncomfortable...just imagine things disconnecting and the balled energy unraveling."

A slight chuckle.
"Normally, you don't. but anyplace that has a method of hiding if needed. rocky outcroppings, the sickly looking trees, things like that. but since this water, unlike most, is free of the dangers normally associated, it'll work."
So that got a surveyor's look..before moving to a rocky area, outcropped a bit.
"This should work fine."
Not to mention the rock could be used as a backrest too. gotta love the occasional smooth side.

Yes, she was letting him pick a sleeping space, mostly to ebb the paranoia that was there in the back of his mind. Hey if he was going to be nice enough to let her play around in the Underdark and call it camping, she might as well do something to make him more comfortable about it and avoid things that could make him tense up and potientially get a camping excursion canceled on her. Following him over she plopped on that rocky outcropping, with a little smile. "Works for me then." Talking to the woman who could reverie upside down in a tree, she could practically reverie anywhere really. "Besides, I'd rather stay out of trees for the time being, seeing as the last time I was in them, they got burned down." Not fun at all. "You do know I"m going to go swimming in that water and that I'm probably going to make you do it too. Right? Problem with that A'mael?"

Okay, note to self, don't compliment him anymore. Not if he was going to take it that badly. She'd just been trying to give him some of the same pleasure that had coursed through her from hearing that he liked her clothes...had it really been that bad? Yeah apparently so. She considered it tilting her head as his words took on a knowing connotation in her mind. To send those rivulets of power back to their original spots in her system, and those threads unhook and go back to where they belonged. She felt a few of them slip off and head back inside and she mentally reached up and snatched those threads, her eyes closing as she settled them back in place. She didn't want to lose them just yet. Of course being new at it she needed the physical expression and her fingers grabbed onto air and went through the pantomime of tying the threads back around her fingers, one by one. Finally her eyes opened and she shook her head, "I think I'll leave that ball just the way it is, it's kind of nice to feel it there and know that I am powerful in my own right."

"I figured as much. and who am I to stop you fomr having your fun with me, after all, I have been the neglectful one, so I should of course, be willing to enjoy this time with you in however you wish it to be spent, shouldn't I?"
Though a slight grin, leaning back on the outcropping by where she was sitting.
"Are things relatively settled between you and Zahara again?"

He watched her a moment, then a little lopsided grin happened to grace his features. "You're quite good at that...I remember the first time I let my own slip...I couldn't catch them like that and pull them back into place." Sevilin did admire her ability to do so, and he admired all of that she could indeed do.
A little shrug. "So..." Why was he searching for conversation starters again? For some reason he wanted her attention at the moment...oddly enough as that was. "I hear you are going to...Andal."
"Yes, yes you should. Besides, you know I can't help myself or anything like that and you like to indulge me from time to time indeed." A little laugh at him, brushing hair from her face before she noticed that she still had something on that she shouldn't. Reaching behind herself she undid the knot holding her bandana and then let it slip off, letting her ears have a rest from being pinned back. Then a look at him with a sigh on the new subject. "Well...I suppose they are. She at least apologized to me for more or less ambushing when I was innocent on whatever she was angry about." Another sigh...yes she knew she was probably setting herself up for another fall with that drow. "Do you think it stupid that I keep trying with her?" Oh look, one of those questions.

"Hmm...?" she asked finishing up the tying of her threads and turning her attention on him. She had no idea that she shouldn't be able to actually do that. It hadn't ever really sunk in that she was extremely powerful. Born of a highly powerful mage and Lloth's High priestess, she had magical abilities most would kill for. Magic responded to her easily and she'd always been able to pick things up realtively easy. Magic had been one of her first companions when she was younger and she'd first conjured her fire. That had been a day to remember. Wait a minute...Sevilin wasn't leaving? Alright, she'd go with it. "Well...I don't know. I was going but now Piper might not want me to anymore..." She paused briefly then glanced at Sevilin, "You're not goign are you? Since that's your home plane and so many bad memories result..."

"That's a loaded question. well..the drow instincts tell me yes, your being foolish. but the part of me that knows you, tells me you need a friend that's better company then hanging around with men all the time, so it's good that you keep Zahara on as a friend. But what about you? what does your gut tell you?"
lightly crossing his arms and looking at her, tapping his foot on the stone to some tune in the back of his head.

He blinked at her apparent questioning of what he had presented. Oops, maybe he had said too muh about himself there. "Oh it's nothing...just making an observation on the matter is all." Right, let's not do that again. But he let that go, rubbed at the back of his neck a moment and then went on in normal fashion of this little question and answer session.
"Considering she hasn't let you be killed yet, I think that's a good sign. She seems to like giving her trust out to you. Despite why I can't see the reason. But..." Yeah, no need to say anything bad about it.
Then a shake of his head and an aversive look from her. "No, I'm not going. Malik is going to leave me in two others in charge while you all are in Andal." A bitter laugh. "I'd rather cut off my own ears before going back to that place."
Piper shook her head lightly before running her hands through her hair, letting them rub the soreness out of her ears a moment when they reached them. Yeah that hadn't been a good idea. Bad enough she was suffering aftershocks from a broken nose and now this. A look to Malik once again. "That I should keep trying as I always have...because when I give in, everyone who isn't expecting me to survive down here wins. Despite the dagger I kept getting shoved into my back. Those can be pulled out though and wounds left behind fixed."A dismissive wave of her hand then. "But enough of that we're supposed to be enjoying ourselves, yes?"

"She's one in a million that Piper. I never thought I'd actually like surface elves but her I really do. It's strange in a way....I like her and her family and they are different. It's...nice." She trailed off briefly realizing just what she was saying and Sevilin got a head tilt, that was oddly specific, now wasn't it? "Let's not go cutting things off that make us who we are. Important part of us you know..." She ran a hand through her hair, touseling it lightly then raised an eyebrow. "Do you ever miss the sun? Miss the seasons? Miss the things Andal had to offer or is your entire perception clouded by what happened up there? IT sounds like such a pretty place...such a shame...."

"True enough on both counts. So, outdoorswoman...what's first for the camping frivolities?"
A grin, laying on his back with his hands behind his head and watching her, ankle resting on the other knee still twitching to whatever tune was going on in his head.

A blink as she launched into a whole question thing. "Up there? I didn't live up there...and I don't miss the sun, for I've not seen it enough to miss it. My trips were nights, not days. The seasons...I suppose I did like them...they were interesting. Nothing ever changes in the Depths really....just stays dark and cold all seasoned measured year long. Sometimes they forgot when it was. It didn't have a lot to offer me...and it never will. I took what I needed from it...no need to go back." There was that seperation thing again....then he noticed that he was actually answering her questions. Though his look hardened a bit. "Pretty things are often the most dangerous."
She watched him lay back with a bit of a grin before her hands let her ears alone and she leaned over on her side to look at him. Lounging. Wow he must really feel good about this...or had eaten something new and it was making him act funny. Either way she won now didn't she? "We start...where I've been itching to start for quite a few years now." Thus sitting up some and on her knees, hands started at the buttons on his shirt.

"Oh well..I thought you were on the surface a lot more but I guess I wouldn't really know." And it got awkward again. She hated bringing up memories that obviously upset him far more than he'd ever let on. She fiddled with her navel ring for a moment then and nodded. "Like the Underdark, nothing different down here then." Her head did snap up at his last comment. WAs that a subtle insult to her? "Not always. Sometimes pretty things can just be nice to look at." Like me... "Like flowers...or so I hear. Kieran's getting me some though so soon I'll know for sure..."

He let her play with hsi shirt, and unbutton it, though he couldn't help the raising of an eyebrow.
"You know, I could have thought we did this what...last night?"
Though he had an idea that what she was intended was getting him undressed for swimming. But hey, he was able to joke, wasn't he. and he knew this place like the back of his hand. they were safe here. made for an easier time dealign with being out in the dirt.
