Madeleine nodded though she didn't understand. "ok.....you know where I am....heres my number" she said handing him a piece of paper with it written on it. She looked at him a bit longer before turning and walking towards the order

'...Poor soul. Doesn't understand that she's being used. She shall see in time... The terror they create behind the curtains.'
"THERE you are," A man came out into plain sight. He had long wavy brown hair and a slight accent. He was dressed richly and bore the crest of the Order on his left arm. "So you're Leon. I've heard about you. Used to be Peng's little pet. Fortunately for you, you've upgraded." He gave Leon a light smirk. "My name is Ambre Engandre. Your new supervisor. I'm warning you now, I don't deal with the nonsense that idiot ghost does. You will follow my orders. You will not like the alternative."

Madeleine walked back to the order contemplating everything that had happened. Things felt weird to her, it was like this happened way to easy. No, no she told her self, were not jumping to conclusions maybe he just honestly needed to see it for himself. And...yet........something Leon said stuch with her "I just want to be with my family in peace".

Leon glared at the man. He knew already normally they wouldn't get along. Still, if Leon was going to keep up the act he had to play along. He decided Ambra would be one of the first to fall when he acted. "My pleasure to meet you, I'm Leon." He said with a slight bow. "I'll follow your orders." He said simply.
Do we have any allies? Or are we alone. This man seems powerful, and I doubt we could change things by ourselves, I'm still too weak. Leon thought to his internal half.

'Do not worry. There are allies. But to find them, we must rid suspicion on ourselves. Tonight we will go to them.'
"Good boy," Ambre said with a light smirk. He liked a creature that could follow orders. "Now let's go back. I have to run a few errands that I'm already late for."

Leon was relieved that they had allies. He knew he was powerful, but he wasn't sure how powerful. He smiled to ambre. "As you wish." He swallowed his pride just followed him. He knew everything would change soon enough. He just needed patience. The memories he had of his family kept playing in his head.

Once entering the Order, Ambre purposely walked right in front of Peng.
Who was glaring back at him.
"Oh. Didn't see you there," Ambre joked, walking off with his head held high.
Peng was about to leave as well when he saw Leon walking behind him... Quietly. Obediently. Peng felt his chest sink. Even so, he swallowed his pride, just gave Leon a nod, and then turned to leave.
Maybe Ambre WAS the better choice for him... Still...

Madeleine saw Leon return with...Ambre...oh no. She had heard so much about him and nothing was very good. She watched them pass and whispered to Peng, "THat will not end well"

Leon felt strange at peng's slight nod, but he wasn't sure why. To be honest, Leon pitied peng, he had been fooled so heavily by the order. He doubted anything could shake his foolish faith. Leon still held some lingering kinship towards peng, but not enough to tell him anything. he walked on past, following ambre for now.

Once Leon and Ambre was gone, Peng heaved a heavy sigh. "Ambre... Has always been a privileged brat. He's been born and raised rich, with parents that spoiled him. Ever since he came to the Order, Ambre had made it quite clear that his way... Is the only way. He's nothing but a child. He doesn't care about stealth, 'collateral damage,' innocent people..." He took a deep breath in, "But," and then he took the breath out, "He IS efficient... And I suppose... If that is what works, then..." Peng shook his head. "I just can't bring myself to approve of his... Even if he was moved from peacekeeper to archivist... Ambre always finds a way to act like a selfish, reckless child... Perhaps... Its the best for Leon... But I can't help but feel that..."
"So," Ambre said once they entered a grand room filled with books, "As my charge, you will be doing the same sort of work I do. If you mess up, Leon, you will not like the alternative. Do I make myself clear?"

Leon held back an annoyed sigh. He already hated this guy, and if he hadn't promised to play along, he already would have tried to run by now. Do I really have to put up with this guy? He asked his inner self, really wanting to try and kill him, but he didn't have much of a choice. "Crystal clear sir." He said, trying to keep all mockingness out of his tone. "What is your work?" He asked simply, looking around.

Madeleine listened and looked to where they had gone down the hallway, "....Peng this is not meant as.........rude or anything of the sort, but wasn't Lizz technically collateral damage" she said softly watching his emotion. She had only heard what the gossip mill had passed along to her, that there had been a girl and that the order got in the way of that. Knowing that this could happen made Madeleine wonder if it was possible to have any sort of normal life doing what the order did.....especially what she was trained/traning to do.

Peng's eyes widened and he turned to face full onto Madeline. There was gossip about that? More importantly, why wasn't he surprised. His face changed from the usual stone expression to a softer, regretful expression. "That... That has nothing to do with this. That was different. I don't know what you heard but..." Peng put a hand on his chest, where his family crest lay. "I still love her," Peng admitted quietly. "But the pain I put her through... I didn't mean to do so. She's... Happier now. With someone who can take care of her. I never meant to harm her. With Ambre, he doesn't care."
Peng let out a sigh and turned back to where he was, about ready to leave. "The closer you are to the core of the Order, the lonelier you become. Few people take that burden... The historians, the volunteers, the customer services, the ones that do the mundane paperwork... They all can have families to go to. But the job I do, the job... I could never... I could never give Lizz what she wanted. Especially since... I'm dead now. I'm a ghost, Madeline. The only thing not incorporeal about me is my love for her. Lizz was not collateral damage. She was a victim that I couldn't protect, and I'm sorry about it to this day."
"Well its obvious, isn't it?" Ambre asked, gesturing to all the books. "I'm a book-keeper. The entire history of the Order is in here! Save for the 'secret texts,' which I go through alone."
'He's the keeper of the history, is he?' The voice said, 'Perhaps Leon, we can use him. To reveal just how twisted the Order truly is.'

If Peng had assigned him to help with book keeping Leon would have complained immensely. But the voice in his head gave him a good idea. "Wow. I love reading! So what exactly do you need me to do, boss?" He asked, trying to earn brownie points. To get at any valuable information he was going to have to get some trust back.

"Peng you have two huge flaws. The first being that you hold yourself responsible for every bad choice and you let it eat at you forever. Your second flaw.......you don't let anyone in.. You can say you didn't protect her all you want but did you ever tell her you were part of the order, or what you did? With Leon.....i honestly think if you had been open from the start, 100% we would not be in this mess. The order is great at many things, but it fails at honesty and trust"
With that she entered her and Narcos office. She knew that what she had done..the things she talked to Peng about would bite her sooner or later.....she didn't care. It needed to be stated. Narco had been open with her from the very start, yeah there were still surprises but there was honesty.
