"It was the least I could do even though the words are unfamiliar to me...I've only said them once in my entire life..." she shook her head and sighed. "You really shouldn't excuse me over this Piper. I didn't excuse you over the issue I had with you not that long ago." It hadn't been that long either...though it seemed like months but it was probably only a few weeks. "You shouldn't deal with my wrath though Piper, that's just unfair. I have no reason to get angry with you especially when all that you've done for me is considered. That's no way to pay back a former friend..." Nope, Zahara wasn't getting it. Excusing someone of their actions was a completely new concept to her, she'd never had forgiveness shown to her, she'd always paid for what she'd done. Piper had stepped in on her behalf in front of Malik a few times but her mother had done the same when it came to her and her sister. She watched her intently waiting to hear just what her final decision was going to be.

"But you are not me...and I'm afraid it is in my nature...to forgive. No matter what the transgression against me done...though I will admit...I'm more than physically hurt. In all truth...twice you have betrayed my trust now. I gave it back to your the first time...and now I give it back to you again. Second chances are given for a reason." Though it would probably take some time for Piper to be comfortable around her again fully. "Not former friends...just estranged at the moment." A little tug at her collar and then one at her bandana. Wow this was uncomfortable too.

Malik grinned lightly.
"I never bring the whole house. only three rooms and a hallway. Gnomish Tinker's Bags are wonderful for packing. but then again no weapons really needed, mostly probably house and medical, and clothes, and maybe some added armor. supplies for Ramoth."
A small shrug.
"But more than enough time I think. only probably eight bags of supplies."

"Gnomish Tinker's Bags..." Said in that 'oh I've never heard of those before' way. Really, sometimes he was absolutely unsatable in that curious fashion of his wasn't he? Though Malik probably mentioned such things just to spiek that curiosity."
"Put a lid on that curious nature of yours Silvercrest. Give it a rest love." A little chuckle before her attention was focusing on Malik once more. "Well...I suppose that that isn't too much. Long as it doesn't bog you down, right?"

"Yes. bags that can hold a lot more than looks might appear. magical devices, devised by the gnomish arts of Mechamagica. blending clockwork and magic. you might know them as bags of holding. basically a small pocket of space time in the form of a large bag. the larger the created back, the bigger the pocket, and thus the average bag can hold items as big as say...dressers, with little trouble. and even at max capacity, they only weight made two or three pounds."
A shrug at Fianna.
"I have to indulge on occasion. I have planned perhaps to give you some, in case of need. My vault contains all sorts of norrathian treasures and items."

"You have to indulge him, don't you?" Another laugh from her...seemed she was quite all the giggles today wasn't she? Perhaps it was a good mood, or perhaps it was just her being out of sorts and dealing with it. Who really knew? Probably just Fianna. She brushed a hand over the tattooing on her cheek a moment before that same hand tucked some loose strands of honey brown hair behind her ear. "Sounds convientiant indeed. But we have something similar...at least us rune mages do." One of those secretive little smiles that her daughter often had. So that's where she got it from. "Well then Malik, anything else on your mind?"
Kieran blinked, and blew a bit of charcoal dust off his pages before closing the journal and tucking it in his surcoat. A point to Malik. "Everything else you can read more in depth in there I suppose." Then a smile to Fianna. "And when did this become your lecture?"

"Runing. the dangers inherent to testing waters when you know far more than your body can probably handle. before I do something stupid in a moment of anger that my mind tells me I can do but my body isn't able to handle playing with."
Yes, Malik knew that with the knowledge would come a moment of anger or pain...where he was going to try it and then that woudl be bad.

She raised an eyebrow for a moment, as if first trying to comprehend what that implied exactly. Knew more than the body could handle...hm. "Well...in the world of runing, when we are taught by our own Master to become rune mages...we learn first and foremost that time is the essence of the training. Fifty years of pur book and light application studies before you are even allowed to wade in the water. But seeing as you imply that the knowledge is already present...it wouldn't matter. After the first fifty of mental conditioning...there is another fifty of bodily conditioning to undergo...train it to handle the stresses that come with runing. This is under the assumption that you are to be using your own energies...for that is what causes the stress. But even when using natural made aids, the body can suffer...call it a...transference affect. To be able to control a rune...you pay the prices to it."
She paused for a moment before continuing on. "Now to say that...one did go on ahead, despite warnings...the runes would take vengence. First...a rise or drop in body temperature, a feeling of nausea. Then pain through out and perhaps numbness. Finally, blood. First from the nose, then mouth, then eyes, then ears. Eventually it would lead to death from internal bleeding and mental collapse. It's not pretty." Fianna had had her own set of close calls.

Malik nodded lightly.
"So no playing with this particular fire. and I forget, did I explain Malvolence to you or not earlier. I think you should know that little tidbit of information as it may become somethign of an issue later if not."

"Indeed...that particular fire, as you put it, is not something to be handled lightly. One suffers to be a rune mage. The higher in level you are the more you suffer...yet the less you suffer as well. A double edged sword I suppose you could say." And speaking of swords, Fianna gave a nod. "Yes you explained it to me. It was after your little...tiff with Pip." Ineed...and yes she was still processing that information, perhaps trying to find comparative examples for it. Though a raised eyebrow at the sentence as well. "Something of an issue for later?"
Kieran...thought he was amused by this all really. This was perhaps the most Fianna had said while down here. Then again...runes were her life more or less. He had watched her suffer the effects as well when she did grow careless or push to far. Though a raised eyebrow. "Well, seems you are devious...going to the direct source for your information."

"In more ways then one. Sevilin fed Malvolence. I know everything about runing he does. however, I know the dangerous nature of the art, and thus, consulting another expert who is more likely to feed me the information I need, rather than one who will more likely mock and tell me to figure it out on me own is appropriate."
A grin at Kieran.
"You really think that I would learn to rune, and play such a game with my life without being fully aware of it? I don't have that little gift of ressurection anymore. though I still think I got jipped on that trade."

Kieran and Fianna both exchanged a look at that particular tidbit of information. That certinally was something now wasn't it? Intriguing and perhaps worrisome at the same time. Though if they were worried, they weren't outwardly showing it. They were a pair indeed, weren't they? "Smart on your part...because even if he's cooperative he's probably not going to tell you everything you want to know, or if he does it will be in a matter. Odd...how we can share a teacher yet think so differently in our rune magery."
"No, I don't think you that foolish...for Piper is Fianna's daughter after all...you'd find yourself brought back and beat as well." A little shrug. "Mere concern...after all, you're the one who makes my daughter light up...I'd hate to see that snuffed out by a stupid action taken because you thought one thing would happen and then another did." Then a smile. "Jipped...perhaps not. For what you took for granted before because you knew you would come back...you can appreciate now because you know that you will not."

"One is a Llothian twisted male drow, and the other is a fier'dal monarch. there is a world of difference there alone. Beleive me, Fianna...if you knew exactly what a male llothian's life is like...you'd be surprised he's even remotely sane. Even Keiran I don't think coudl get into that world and get out without being mentally or physically scarred."
Though a slight chuckle.
"Piper wouldn't bring me back at first. first, she'd pray to Innoruuk to torment me for being so stupid, then she'd bring me back and beat me."

"No, I'm not...and I never will be." And that pretty much said it, now didn't it. Violet eyes glanced down at the floor as Piper made the allegations. Betrayed her twice. Zahara shook her head, "We have both broken each other's trust at one point or another so I suppose we're even now then, yes? Or not..." Two times. Nope, Piper would have to betray her again and then and only then would they be even. Though one other time Zahara had jumped to conclusions and caused problems, that being the time she'd gone after Malik for hurting Piper. Her only evidence had been the bruised flesh on Piper but the truth was, Piper bruised very easily and that brought about questionable marks on her skin especially when it came to the relationship between Malik and Piper. Estranged friends? That made her blink and link gazes with her once again. "But that status will eventually change...?" Was that hope in her voice? Well...yes.

Another look between lovers before they both turned thier attention back to him individually. Though at the moving of Kieran's hand, Fianna did pop him in the arm to halt that motion...and in the injured one too just to get her point across. "You start marking pages again and I'll kill your movement." Said with the most positively sweetest giggle she had. "Though...I think I prefer being ignorant to the lifestyles of the dark elves...no offense of course."
"Pray to Innoruuk...I think not. She'd want that guilty pleasure of chastising her all to yourself. Besides, from what I've gathered...she doesn't take to Gods of any sorts much these days." A chuckle and that sly look. "Unless she is screaming them or using them as explicit. Ow..." Said as he rubbed at his arm from another pop from Fianna.
"But that isn't a bad thing. And yes...we both had taken proverbial daggers to the lines we have cast out to each other...and though those ropes are stretched taunt, sawed on by those daggers...they are not broken. And ropes can be mended." A little smile to Zahara, perhaps encouraging and reassuring. It wasn't in Piper's nature to hold grudges, and once made friends those bonds were hard to break. Though yes, Kaden had altered that stance a little...but like Malik said, giving into what he had done would be letting him win. A little nod to her. "Things change." Ah the code of her and her father's it seemed, and when that phrase was said it was often in the conotation of good.
