Mr Crawley So I keep thinking... What if Petra and I got married? I mean... would this be a curveball? Or would there be at least one person to say "Why are you guys shocked? I saw this coming" I think you would have to murder Maxi before that could even be a possibility

Whether or not it's possible isn't the issue.
That's why the question starts off with "what if" and then offers a scenario.
English language defines this sort of thing as a hypothetical.
And when dealing with a hypothetical you automatically assume that any and all conditions have been met for it to be so.

I started a new work out routine, four weeks, lost a couple of inches. I'm going to change up my routine this month so that I have that bikini body for my trip somewhere tropical. Toss up between LA, and Dominican Republic.
