I had Toxicroak on my team back when I had the Japanese version of Pearl. :] Toxicroak is just an awesome Pokemon~
And oh god, Bibarel. I'd like it more if it didn't always break my Shiny chains. D: ♥

Bibarel is my work ho. He has rock climb, waterfall, strength...you name it. xD
And I only have a shiny pachirisu so far, gotten while randomly walking in the grass, too. I don't even know how those chain things work. D:

However, shinies just flock to me on my Hoenn games for some reason. xD'' I have a shiny Latias for goodness sake.
For chaining you need to try and get the same Pokemon using the radar over and over again. You can't run away from the Pokemon you're trying to chain, you have to either defeat it or catch. Try looking at the patch you first step in, and look around at the next patches and pick one that looks the same.
Try and not walk any more then four steps from one patch to the next. Don't leave the grass, cause that'll break your chain. I've heard that you shouldn't try walking in a patch if there aren't at least four patches shaking. If not, try walking the rest of the steps back and forth and then using the poke-radar again.
Make sure you have tons of max repel, a high level Pokemon that can easily knock out the Pokes in the area, and a Pokemon that knows False Swipe. There are better guides on the net to do with the chaining, but yeah, that's the basics.
And I have a Bibarel that's a HM mule too. xDD
