She was very proud of how long he had willingly stuck around, even if sometimes little things had him tighten his grip on her hand, she could tell he'd get slightly frustrated with the youths around him. Tilting her head up to him, she regaled the question a few times before nodding, giving him a little smile.
"I would like a dance before anything else. If I recall, last year ours was cut rather short." She quipped playfully, looking away as the music started to play again, watching as the aforementioned "Prom Court" was picked - making her think fondly of the gold court again. Such happy warm feelings. "That is, if you would have me as a dancing partner."

Amrita drifted over to Mort, her steps unsteady enough to lend her the walking doll look she hadn't really been trying to do. She had been just in time to see him send the dolls off, and she gave them a look as they scampered past her, happily giggling and on their way to do....something.
"Those things are super jackin creepy, you know that right? ...Why did I think those were a good idea?" She said out loud to him once she was close enough, one arm crossing her stomach and the other reaching out to hold Mort's arm long enough to steady herself again.

When the song began, pink eyes rolled up to the ceiling in attempt to figure out what exactly it would be. Once the lyrics started, the witch could have screamed with laughter if she let herself do such. She did pause to wave her scepter at Ren with a wild grin and a wink, bouncing lightly on her toes in her glee. Feeling already terribly bubbly and insanely giddy, Belladonna didn't at all mind how angry West looked. He was always like that, so that was good! It would have been weird if he had been as outwardly overjoyed as the witch was. So she only held his hand a moment longer as she listened to the song to get into the beat of things. "We'll start easy and go from there. Or at least until you find your ghoul." Here she winked at him, because obviously he was still with the one he'd spoken of all those months ago and even if he wasn't, Belladonna was quite positive he was with someone! With another grin she let go of his hand to pull back and begin a somewhat simple dance.

Dance? He couldn't remember the last time he had danced, but surely he could do it, if anything, just for Lifen. After all, they had not danced together last time, and he was uncertain as to whether or not they would get another opportunity.
Mengyao stepped away from Lifen and then turned around, ducking over in a low, sweeping bow.
"May I have this dance, my lady?"

Ugh, the girl was a stuttering mess! While Shaheen still acted slightly irritated, it seemed that Willow stumbling into her, with all of her apologies and seemingly sincere nervousness, had at least veered the war chieftain off of a sure path of destruction. "Even if you do not wear them often, is it not useful to know how to walk in them, should the occasion arise?" Shaheen raised an eyebrow at the girl, still staring pointedly at the shoes and giving her head a small shake, her blonde mass of curls bouncing around her face. She then moved her gaze towards the girls tail, and then back up to her ears, eye narrowing slightly. Very interesting..... "Hurt me?" She scoffed, snapping back to attention. "Hardl---" And then that was when He showed back up, and about damned time too! If he'd turned up ten minutes earlier then the unpleasant situation with Thrain would have never taken place! Somehow it would always be Shiks fault. "Yes." She turned, slowly, and looked him dead in the eye before lifting up an index finger to press against his muscled chest. "You. You disappeared on me." While she tried to give him a hard look, that same self doubt that would continue to gnaw away at her as long as she let it flickered within her eyes. She pushed it all down, squeezed it all back behind the wall. He had come back. That doubt had no place here anymore. "Now you have to make it up to me double what you owed me before for being late." she smirked at him, and then continued on. "I want a dance." And then glancing back towards Willow, because no, she hadn't forgotten about her. "You look fine, just...lose the shoes." Fashion advice from a war chieftain...take it or leave it.

Willow nodded and rather quickly at that. "Right. I really should, practice more. I just normally don't need shoes unless I'm on school grounds or going to town." She looked a bit startled when another joined, sweeping in behind Shaheen.
"I'm glad I didn't," the stuttering was calming down but the nervousness still evident. Willow didn't know why she did this to herself, and the sudden appearance of creeple didn't help either. Her head had tilted a bit noticing Shaheens eye's narrowing before she'd turned to the other.
Maybe it was time to make like a ghost and... Willow froze when she turned back towards, nope she hadn't been forgotten which was a good thing in some ways. "Right." She pulled off her shoes and looked around, now where in the world would they be safe at? "Hm, at least it'd be safer without these things."
Holding the shoes in one hand, the Byakko seemed thoughtful. "Oh, um... I'm Willow by the way." She was unsure if she should offer her free hand or just bow, which meant she took the safe option and just gave a quick bow. She'd have to find someplace to stash her shoes in a bit.

Oh my!
His sudden chivalry made it so hard for her not to start giggling, placing a gloved hand over her mouth as she blushed lightly, a smile hidden behind it. Taking a moment to refind her bearings, she lightly went to curtsy for him, lightly pulling the dress up a bit and bending down before standing again, offering her hand.
"It would be my pleasure, my Lord." She equally played it up for him - it was his title, anyways! With a bit of possessive nouns added in.

Thank you. She pulled Hel to her, and settled her hands in the appropriate places for a slow song...
..And then that came on.
Despite the tone of the song, Riley seemed just too relaxed to dance in an excited fashion. So, Hel had the unfortunate situation of dancing with a mindflayer in a slow sway to a fast song. If she wanted to change that, Riley wouldn't have argued, but she was.. very used to being the lead in a dance. She hadn't even thought to ask if the ghoul wanted it the other way around.
Are you content with your win? I'm sure you are the most excellent of the jesters that were competing for the honor. She reached up, and tinkled one of the bells. And you get such a cute hat.

Mort blinked several times out of his reverie of watching Bells dance. "Mrrr? What, don't like them now?" he asked, faking a wounded look. "Are my scarelings, Amrita! Pride n' joy've inventions thus far. Should be flattered made 'em look like you."
Pause.
"Should warn you that both mentioned really liking your hair," he added teasingly as he held his arm out to help steady her. "Might even ask you if can take lock or two . . ."This time, Shik didn't even bother to defend himself, because it was true. He had . . . sort of lost his way after that odd little battle. "I had an urge to write poetry about your 'luscious locks' and 'sparkling snow' and also an impulse to yodel my joy for everyone to hear," he deadpanned nevertheless. "Which I had no intention of doing in public."
But . . . argh. He had known going in that he would need to dance, but frankly this was not the sort of . . . people called this music? This was not the sort of background noise he had been hoping for when Shaheen dragged him in. Then again, if he didn't now she'd never stop going on about it . . . And Shik actually did feel a twinge of remorse for wandering away when he had actually promised himself to try and be better about it this time around.
"Fine, I will meet your challenge," he agreed with a small roll of his eyes before flicking a glance at the odd cat ghoul she was speaking with. ". . . Are you collecting stray animals while I am away?"

"Hm." The song was just as remarkably horrible as he'd imagined it would be, but he joined in anyway, raising his scepter in the air like he just didn't care. Yes, it seemed he could only really dance properly with Levi. "So long as yer boilfriend's not jealous of my moves." He snorted out a laugh, briefly looking down in confusion at the glitter that was raining out of his hair. "Congratulations, I guess." What was with this school and crowns?

Well, whatever! Hel didn’t argue…Riley was taller than her, after all. The ghoul looked over at the Prom Princess as she spoke to her though, and gave a salute. “Congratulations, you!” She cried out, and grinned. “Jack yeah, I do! Nominative determinism, friend! I live up to my name of ‘Hel’.” She waggled her brows, and turned back to Riley. She also snorted at the song that came on…but oddly enough, she was content to just sway with the mindflayer. Following the beat of the song was too mainstream anyways, and her and Riley were way too cool to be mainstream. “Content?” Hel echoed. She hummed for a moment. “More like surprised, and then just accepting.” She laughed. “Actually, I felt offended at first, because who takes jesters seriously…but then Amarus brought up a good point! I stir up lots of trouble.” She grinned then, “So I am now pleasantly surprised!” She chuckled. “Oh, you think it is cute? Do you wanna wear it?”

Well. It did start with a D. Besides, JD wouldn't mind watching the ghoul get all hot and sweaty while banging things. The thought reminded him of a certain tall dark and handsome boil and he shivered. He leaned in close to let his lips brush her hair, whispering, "Bangin'." And then he added, "I hope you brought your sticks, ghoul, 'cause we go on in an hour." Wham, blam, thank you ma'am.

Etzer was Not Happy. Uller had gone off and the frost demon had lost him in the crowd, and his own brother had cost him the dance competition. They could have been awesome. But no, he had to go and scowl at him. On the jacking dance floor.
He couldn't take his brother anywhere.
Eyes flicking to the side to glance at Molan's phone, he reached out and palmed it before Molan could do anything, already sliding half across the dance floor. He was half tempted to leave with Molan's phone.
Especially when he left him hanging in the middle of the dance floor... he could do without technology... right?
Of course, Etzer hadn't quite thought things through yet, with him having Molan's phone - if he had his brother's phone, how could he contact him? But alas, he was too miffed with his brother at this point to see things through with a clear mind.
They were really terrible brothers. Really.

"Johnny Danger," she gasped, pulling back to stare into his eyes, "you..." Spinning around, the small ghoul dipped JD back as they danced, "I'm going to hit it so hard for you tonight, Johnny. So hard." This was going to happen. This was going to be a thing. She was going to be on a stage, right behind JD, rocking out all her pain and aggression and passion while staring at that tight blue a- Act.She'd be watching Johnny's tight act.

Hadiyya gave a soft hum as she rose up on her toes to rub the top of her head against his chin, then drew back enough to look him in the eyes. The music had changed. Tempo picking up, and though she'd promised him a nice proper dance, she did like to move to around to a good, strong beat. Grinning impishly, she slid her hands down to the fae-boil's hips, and as her own began move from side to side she started to walk them backwards, towards the dance floor. More then aware that this wasn't Marosa's usual scene, or anywhere close to his comfort level. "Feel the music?" She purred up at him, closing the gap between them again when they'd joined the rest of the dancers. Her arms draped loosely around his neck, fingertips playing at the loose curls that had fallen from his ponytail for a moment before she turned to lean her back against his chest. His hands were caught and placed on her sides as she rolled her hips from side to side. If he relaxed, followed her lead, she could guarantee him a good time. Actually.. That gave her an idea. Catching the material of one of her gloves between her teeth, the ghoul pulled her hand free, stretched her fingers, then reached up and over her shoulder so she could cup the Fae's cheek. Bracing for the sudden flood of emotion and desire that was sure to crash over them.
