She tried to ignore him, really she did but her curiosity overcame her and she glanced up at him, raising one eyebrow at his position. Why was he on the table and why was he staring at his hands making her feel like he was almost staring at her. She marked her page with her finger and just watched for a little while then cleared her throat. "That's horribly distracting, just so you know...what the hell are you doing?"

"Gathering energy." Horribly distracting or not was none of his concern...being a rune mage as he was, so practiced in the art, he usually had his energy already built up and stored, ready for immediately drawing from. But thanks to events of late, he had just been siphoning and siphoning and not getting a reprieve to replenish...and he didn't like feeling his reserves being low.
Thus still staring at his hands, the air seemed to thicken a little. Little pin pricks of light were visible on his dark skinned palms as he continued his staring. Took an agonizing amount of concentration.

An elf of very little words, now wasn't he? She watched him for a while longer then couldn't help it. "Why? Planning to blow something up?" Hye she was a student, questions were part of the routine. Besides he looked kind of funny just sitting there like that staring intently even if he did make sparks fly. She leaned her chin in her hand and rested her elbow on the table still watching him, blatant curiosity keen on her face.

"Rune mages...properly trained ones...use energy that is thier own...how do you think they get that energy in the first place." Probably explained why he could eat like he had a bottomless pit for a stomach as well. But when his hands were more or less 'coated' with that energy, he turned them inward and placed them on his chest, right in the center and then closed he eyes."
He seemed to sit like that for a few moments before he curled his fingers inward, almost as if he was planning on reaching into his skin, and then drew his hand back...and a rather visible trail of energy followed. His second hand came up then and pushed that trail to his other hand, where both cupped over it. When he opened them again, there was a little ball of visible enery, dim mossy green light floating in the space and confines of whatever he head created with his hands.
That was always uncomfortable to do. No, he didn't need to do it this way, but he wanted to see just how drained he was. He wasn't pleased with the sight at all. No wonder he hadn't felt well at all.

Malik's ears perked a bit. knowing what master would..he had the vaguest 'sense' of the energies. not that he coudl really play..yet...but he had the sense enough to know when someone else was playing. and someone was really playing. curious. but...back to piper, producing three stick from thin air. it was always good play slight of hand, wether she knew hwo he got it or not. Adn then leading her down stairs, and then to the basement where the spas were, only giving a passing glance to Sevilin and Zahara on the way. interesting indeed.
Onyx only rolled his eyes.
"Father didn't give until he found the manor, and a family..Nailah and Rand. There has to be something to give to, in order to give."

"Cinnamon to abide the dual curiosity you will inspire?" Weren't bonds fun? She knew he was picking up on someone playing with energies...not as sensitive as him about it, but from her formal training she knew the feeling. She'd rather he not get curious...those who indulged often found themselves mimicking...and in this case that was not a good things at all. Though as they walked downstairs, her hand reached up and turned his head halfway through that glance of him. "Oh I think not, A'mael...for isn't that one of your causes of your proclaimed neglect?" Not to mention she didn't want to see him hurt.Thus making sure he came downstairs as well so they could both indulge in a bit of time of stress relief.

Arthur sighed a little, it was a long ride from Lost a grace to this little area of the world, he head a rumor that in the tournament that happened in Deepwater there was an elf, a surface elf that entered the tournament and something bad went on. Well rumors are rumors you can't believe them all right? Well Arthur was on a mission to find this elf since he has barely seen any surface elves in quite awhile. Even though he hid his own little secret identity he just wanted to make sure if these rumors were true.
Well after actually making it to the land where the 'surface elf' was living on Arthur spent a few days anchored to shore preparing to go and setting up small traps just incase any bandits decided to try and take his things. With a small yawn when he woke form his sleep Arthur slowly got up out of his cot and started to prepare breakfast. When he finished he got dressed in his normal attire of black boots, brown leather pants, white shirt, black vest and black leather gloves. After putting on the small things like his belt ring and pocket watch he grabbed his bag filled with clothing and supplies and went to shore, his legs walking slowly through the ocean water, picking up sand and mud to float endlessly through the sea.
When he reached dry land he placed his pack on the dry beach and opened it to take out his katana which was already sticking halfway out of the bag since it is about 7' long. Placing it around his waist like the people of his trade do he closed his bag and began walking towards the fortress at a steady pace, hoping to reach it before noon.
By the time he reached the black looming fortress breakfast ways about half way done. He paused for a moment to stare at the place that was settled before him, black rock stood out like a sore thumb as the cracks and dirt were not as visible as it would have been if it was coloured of normal grey stone. As Arthur began his walk to the entrance he took note of the stables off to the side where a few horses stayed and their keepers took care after them.
His boots made a small crunch in the land laid out before him, the servants that were outside took a glance at him and were a little surprised since he looked like a pirate which was accented by the eye patch he had across his left eye. Not paying attention to who was staring at him he made his way to the door and slammed his fist three times on the door and waited silently.

It was just her luck that she was always walking by the door or looking to use it when it was knocked on. Always just her luck. But with a sigh she set down her bucket of things and treats and opened the heavy bolting of the door that was put on 'nightly'. That done she pushed open the heavy doors that were surprisingly easy for a child like her. "May I help you sir?" A shy little demeanor presented...why always her...

Before the door opened Arthur quickly brushed his hair down so it would cover his ears. Ever since he was growing up his many parents had told him to keep his ears hidden so no one will do any harm to him. So he did this but he believed that being an elf was kind of wrong so no matter where he went he pretended to be human.
When the door opened he saw a small servent girl looking right at him. He cleared his throat lightly and asked. "I'm looking for Piper Silverfeather is she in?"

She blinked at him lightly. Well that was a thing now wasn't it? To hear someone call her Silverfeather. But then again, mistress' engagement to master Malik wasn't widely publicised and they were wise to keep it that way. Though they knew better than to folly on name usage. Besides...they weren't married yet, despite how Piper was already using the name. "Mistress Silverfeather is...in disposed..." More like her and master were down stairs adn well she didn't want to think on what they were doing...besides, she doubted that Piper would like to see strangers right now, what with the way her face was bruised up from earlier having her nose broken.
Keely cleared her throat and pushed the door open more and stepped aside, gestureing him in. In disposed she may be, but you never left a stranger on the doorstep. Turning...she almost slammed into blue. But pale blue tipped fingers had hold of her shoulders and she looked up at Kieran, smiling at him and then at Fianna who was on his arm. "Morning Kieran."
"Morning as well little one. Run along, I can handle this." After all, Pip was his and Fianna's daughter. Anyone asking for her had the right to be interogated by the parents. A look to this one...he was a surface elf. Elves could easily tell other elves. "What brings you here looking for Silverfeather, my elven friend?"

Arthur kept his head craned down to stare at the little girl when he asked her if Piper was in at the moment. He was kind of upset that Piper couldn't be seen at the moment but was happy to see that the little girl was allowing him inside. But before she did anything she walked right into someone behind her. Chuckling in his head he looked up to see two elves standing right behind her.
He took a small gulp as he looked at them, he could tell that both of them were powerful elves and that he should do nothing to piss them off. What suprised him was that they could easily point out that he was an elf, usally some people have a hard time finding out if he is unless they move his hair. "Well sir Piper might have some information I need." thats all he said as he placed his hands in his pockets, his katana shifting a little.

Keely gave a giggle and a nod before picking up her bucket and slipping behind this stranger and then out the door, trotting her way to the stables...she had fast growing foals to put walk about and lavish with attention and what not.
Fianna blinked at him, looking him over a moment...odd, to see another surface elf here. Than again she was quickly learning to not be surprised about things down here wasn't she? Though she said little, having just come up from reverie...and she was still lethargic down here when coming from that tranced out state. No, no used to the underdark yet.
Kieran merely rested his hand on Fianna's where it was settled on his arm in affectionate manner. "Well...sir, do tell what you may want to ask. Unimportant I may look, but closer to her than you may imagine. Who knows I may be able to answer your questions or at least make sure they are passed to my daughter." He would admit...he was weary of this one...after what happened with Kaden...Malik would not be pleased to see another strange surface elf.
"And do tell your name...I believe you've forgotten your elvish manners."

Arthur raised his eyebrow a little, gezz what was wrong with this guy? he seemed to be a little too protective of Piper did that mean that this guy was her father? If so them some of the rumors were true, she was a surface elf then, but still he had to make sure.
"First off I never learned any elvish manners I was raised by humans, luckily I was rasied by anyone for that matter..." Arthur paused for a moment to reflect on some things in the past. "The name is Arthur Murdock sir, I don't have an elvish name because like I said I was raised by humans." With his name out of the way he wondered if he should tell them what he wanted to know from Piper, deciding that since he wont get inside without getting by the two infront of him he decided to let out only so much.
"Well sir I heard rumors about Piper being in Deepwater during a tournament and I came here to see if they were true and ask her some things that I don't think you can answer yourself sir." Arthur was trying to be polite as possible to this man, him being elf and all but he wanted to get his answers from the person he came to see.
"Excuse me sir but may I know your name in return?"

Kieran raised an eyebrow...an elf who was raised by humans...well that just sparked his scholarly curiosities now didn't it? After all, how could he help himself....knowing how an elf differed when raised not elvish. Though interesting that he said he didn't have an elvish name...surely his reveries held that answer, elves never forgot after all, they physically couldn't.
A little nod from him. "Ah yes, the tournament fiasco...I was there for that. It was interesting to say the least...but all around distasteful." Nope, Malik would not be a happy elf at all now would he? But a smile to Arthur and a slight bow of his head. "I am Kieran Silvercrest and this, " a gesture to the woman by his side, " is Fianna Swiftfeather." Silverfeather, get it?
"Well...apparently she is preoccupied with her fiancee...though I am sure she'd be willing to ebb your curious questions at her first notice and ability to."

When Kieran introduced himself and the woman beside him he quickly noticed the word 'Silver' and 'Feather' making up their last names to make up Piper's. So she was thier daughter then that really mean she was a surface elf. Well it was finally great to meet more surface elves like himself but he still had his prolbems with running around and letting everyone know he was elf.
With a small nod and a light smile he looked at the two elder elfs with a smile. "It's good to meet you Kieran and Fianna, is it okay if I come on in?" he asked with his smile turning into a small grin.
