That is an interesting way to look at it. Though I fail to see ugly, unless you get up close. *shrug* Personal preference.

If you're talking about me, I abhor most of what other people call "cute". I prefer to call it "stupid".
But mostly, I was saying that the rhino (the unicorn is an exaggerated description of it) is not cute.

Carebears are as ugly and useless as unicorns... Oh wait...you can eat "unicorns". Never mind.

You can eat many things. There are people that think frogs and pigs are cute.

Actually, unicorns are quiet the useful creature. They make excellent mounts and have curative powers as well as magical horns that are very good at impaling the evil.
A carebear has a lazer cannon built into its chest, imagine, if all the carebaers got together a pointed at the earth, they would end world wars and cure plagues.

Unicorns are too slow to be useful...like riding a smaller, uglier elephant with a horn. Carebears should all be burned at the stake. scream

But you did not discount any of the other "advantages."

Nope, I didn't. But, yes, cuteness is subjective, which is why what most people call cute, I call stupid and ugly. I tend to disagree with the masses.

Not necessarily. Language is language, what words mean is generally considered facts. There can be no "agreeing" or "disagreeing".

Shrug. I guess I am just used to being around things that are called cute all the time... Like C'thulu and carebears, mickey mouse and other such cartoonish characters.

Well, if you've ever seen invader Zim, there was one episode where there was a giant hamster that was enhanced with alien technology. Even though it was 150 feet tall, it managed to maintain its cuteness so the army and air force were unable to stop it. They didn't have the will to blow up such a cute lil' hamster. The episode ended with Zim, who was immune to the Hamster's cuteness, shot it into space.
The moral of the story is: All cute things will eventually get thrown into the sun, where they will die a most hideous death.
