I never got Evangelion's appeal to be honest. confused It was too convoluted for my liking. And the fact that the, I believe it was the creator when bat s**t making it didn't help it any in my eyes. I never got the reason why a bunch of my friends love to analyze the s**t out of it. I always wanna say "There's nothing to analyze the creator went ******** crazy. Stop taking it so seriously." whenever they start on it. The only thing I liked was the violence. Followed up by: "If you want to analyze something analyze Gurren Lagann. Let it's epicness implode your brain and maybe your balls will drop and you wont care so much about anime's with emofag main characters. Kamina will be the only character you will ever need. Ever."

I found it interesting due to how it kept me guessing with each new twist. It's the same reason I am such a big fan of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Of course, I never really got into Evangelion the way most of it's fans did, to me it was just a really good anime. But yeah, if you didn't like Evangelion, I doubt you'd like Utena.
Then again, you are into the likes of Battle Club and Battle Vixens, both of which have that simple, funny-sexy fight-oriented theme I know Vain has read Tenjou Tenge, but have youguys ever read the Samurai Girl Real Bout High School manga?

SEELE is basically the U.N. They're the ones pulling NERV's strings and the creators of the Mass Produced Eva's.
And honestly, I can't entirely explain why I love Eva the way I do. There's just something about the mixture of all the themes that it presents that kind of tug at me a bit.
Every fiber of me wants to enjoy Gurren Lagann; it's a great anime. But for some reason I just don't enjoy it. Same thing with Cowboy Bebop really; it's a great anime, that for some reason I just cannot completely get into.
I've heard of RBH, but never got around to checking it out. What's it about?

It's been ages since I read it, so I don't remember it too well, other than the fact that the main character Ryoko is pretty much unrivaled at Samurai-style sword fighting, and her rival is a smart-a** brawler who is *gasp* actually buff and not bishounen, despite being in high school. but it's the same kind of "high school fighting" theme that got me into Tenjou Tenge, Battle Vixens and Battle Club(with less fanservice and boobage), and I enjoyed the story. If you liked any of those, then you should check out the manga(I hated the anime, which went with a completely different storyline)

I haven't read either in ages. gonk Try the Seikai Trilogy, GTO, Ultimate! Hentai Kamen, and Ouoku.
I haven't read or watched RBH but I have heard of it. If you want a high school fighting themed manga I fell in love with try Yakuza Girl. s**t's. <********> Crazy.

Vain Ziler And honestly, I can't entirely explain why I love Eva the way I do. There's just something about the mixture of all the themes that it presents that kind of tug at me a bit. Same here, only with Utena. I think it's amusing that Ikuhara is a friend of Hideaki Anno, considering Utena is considered to be, more or less, the Shoujo counterpart of Evangelion. Makes sense though, seeing as they are extremely similar in how twisted, confusing, and ******** they made their animes.

Utena must become much more of a brain ******** beyond where I'm at. Because so far it really hasn't been much of one. Wierdest part is the two shadow girls that keep saying "Kashira, kashira, gozonji kashira!" s**t annoys me.

Are youstill in the Duelist Arc? It is actually pretty tame for the most part during the first storyline arc, which spans the first 12 episodes. After that it gets dark pretty quickly, though it still has a few filler episodes of Nanami's antics to lighten the mood. Then the third arc comes in and is full of ******** up twists, but it does a good job at setting everything up for the climax. I absolutely loved the way it ended
I actually hated the VAing of Utena in Japanese, I found the majority of the voices whiny or annoying. Except for some wrong name pronunciations during the first arc, I found the English dub to be decent for the most part.

Thorns of Death? I actually still wonder how Mikage got hold of Juri's locket after she tossed it into the water. That means you are still fresh into the Black Rose arc, where it starts to pick up with the twists. Episode 20 was one of my favorite episodes and my second favorite duel The series is 39 episodes total, just so you know.

I'm alright, waiting for Lum to get on and post. Been occupying myself with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon otherwise, and spending time with Jayson and the kitty.

I'm sorry for not being active, I have a lot going on in real life, and I can't post regularly anymore. I actually got engaged to Charlie last month, though we don't yet have a set date for tying the knot. Otherwise I've been busy with school, work, and personal issues I'd rather not talk about. You guys have permission to post as my characters if necessary. I'll make sure to check in and post whenever I do get on. So how are you all anyway?

I'm alright, my comp ******** up this morning, had to sit through hours of annoying DOS crap to fix it. Apparently, if the power goes out in the middle of a CHKDSK test, it corrupts the entire drive being scanned, which was the main hard drive. Took forever to figure out how to fix it with command prompt, seeing as the repair wizard for vista sucks a** and is not helpful.
