i'm getting a laptop for graduation... trying to pick out which one i like best.

i like this one from hp: beauuutiful dv7t, big screen, shiny and black

i'm looking at gateway right now.

dell is from hell. bad experiences all over with dell.

and i cannot stand macs. mac speaks a language i do not.

...and i changed my username.

I wouldn't go with Gateway. My first PC was from them and it was awful. Customer service is null and even with the warranty if you need it fixed you better hope that you live near one of their "repair centers" cause they won't ship it from a local store or allow you to ship it to them. The closest from us was almost 2 hours away. And they screwed up the repairs the first time.

@ Collowrath, is the OSU you speak of Ohio State or is there another OSU I am unfamiliar with?

Wow, when I started to take part in this research study, I didn't realize I'd be one of only 8 people. Wow.

I'm participating in, well, a doctoral thesis, about adult siblings of people with Autism. I met with the woman again today and she was talking about the shared experiences that all 8 of us apparently had, and going deeper into the common themes. We had a great conversation.

It's nice to be able to talk about it. Plus, she said I was unique amongst everyone, probably stemming from us being twins.

Indeed it is the Ohio State University, complete with "Ann Arbor is a Whore" t-shirts. xd

Do you attend there? My husbands cousin and one of our good friends go there. It's also not that far from us, about 2-3 hours. I would love to attend almost any type of pagan gathering and that is within driving down for the weekend range!

There ARE other OSUs though, Oregon State University for example. My sister went there. XD

No, but I'm thinking about transferring to get into their Poli Sci program. It's supposed to be one of the best in the country. smile There's all kinds of things going on on campus for minority students of all kinds - not as much as ten years ago though.

MoonJeli: Unfortunately, growing up in Central Ohio, the only OSU I was taught to see is Ohio State. Lol. biggrin

That's likely the case.

I'm from NE Ohio so it was the same for me. "There is only 1 OSU, all others are not worth mentioning" is the idea, especially up here. Sports are big and most of our teams stink. So college ball is huge. I was going to try for OSU's veterinary program, but I decided to be an RVT instead. It fits me and my personality much better. I think I'm much happier for making the choice.

Random blurb.

About a week ago or so our bloodhound had 9 puppies. O.o First she's ever had too. Two of them have died though, we think they suffocated because of the dog house they were in. Ruby (our hound) had trouble settling down to nurse them without at least sitting on one.

They're adorable though, and we think they are black lab mix.

Perhaps a silly question, but I wondered if anyone from the guild would be going to Fanime... I'd be interested in saying "hey" if you're around =D
