Shun wasn't entirely impressed with that answer. It could potentially mean that Invictus didn't know what the hell was going on and din't want to admit it. Though, he supposed it could also be that he didn't want to say something in case he's wrong. Regardless of the actual reason, it left the rest of them in the dark still. "I see," he replied quietly, "Please share once you are sure. It would be nice to know what we are up against exactly."All of the creatures that came from the house were fairly weak against their group. But he did not think that they could keep this up for long, seeing how the constant appearances of a new enemy were wearing them all down slowly. If they could find the source of the problem, they could potentially bring an end to this.

"AAAAH BLUE PUPPY." Freya reached out and wrapped her arms around Remi, and hugged the new animal who'd come to cuddle. "Yeh cuddles with us too while we waits to die." This she said with a smile, as if she had not just doomed them all to death with her words.
Herryk patted his chest, which looked like a comfortable mountain, and Freya climbed up on top of it childishly, curling up into a C shape and resting her head in her arms.
She lifted her head, just once, and frowned at Roch's denial, before dropping it back down again and letting out a sigh.
"Roch needs a hug." She whispered to no one in particular, and closed her eyes.
Herryk's black skin hid the slow, dark seep of blood coming from her stomach's gash quite well.

At one end of the field, a loud swishing sound can be heard come from the house...and then...gargling. Swishing again...gargling. Apparently houses find good dental hygiene to be a very serious matter. That or it's an amateur sommelier and field is about to get boozed down.

Herryk exhaled with a, "Tch," in response to Freya's comment. Roch needed more than a hug as far as Herryk was concerned. Roch needed a beating. He didn't want to say anything to upset Freya, though, so he kept his mouth closed in regards to his opinion on that whole... situation.
Something tickled against his belly, and Herryk ignored it for a few moments. He did spare a glance down at Freya -- her hands were in plain sight, so what was tickling him? The feeling slowly trickled down his side, and craning his neck to peer down, Herryk finally caught sight of the blood.
There were so many things he wanted to say to the ghoul, and yet he couldn't. Not here, not like this. Not when the final thread holding her sanity together had been snipped, sending her into a freefall of madness.
"Freya is with Herryk now," he mumbled against her soft hair, fingers lacing abstract patterns along her back. There was nothing he could do to heal her, nothing he could do to take away her suffering. All he could do was hold her, and so he did.

"If it gives you a direction of thought, I believe we're...harvesting." Invictus said, looking to the machine that kept absorbing the remaining light that would come from their fallen foes. The amounts were small, but...with their small numbers it was possible for them to gain a certain amount of FEAR into it over time.
If that's what they were doing.
"I am not sure what the purpose of it would be, however. Or even if it would effect this place or another space completely, given our..time distortion."

The story thus far.. Earlier Inside:
Students had been caught by hunters in various and mostly underhanded ways. After a near loss of the kelpie, Calder, to weapon transformation, and then a strange rewinding of time, the captives soon found themselves alone to suffer the happy but painful hope of rescue together. And rescuers did come, after many searches for the cage's key cards, the rescuers took matters into their own hands, and sacrificing their own health, destroyed the hunters' generator. A bright blue light filled the room, leaving students feeling refreshed and energetic. As students reunite inside, a discreetly placed LCD screen lights up and begins counting down.
Is this the calm before the storm?
Earlier Outside:
Hunter trainees and students were taken to a room where time was held at a standstill. When they were released, they found themselves confronted with a very familiar scene: the hunter back yard encampment and a recently captured Soul Harvester. This was not a simple case of deja vu, but rather a do-over created through a deal between the Harvester and the mysterious Clockwork. The senior hunters appear to have no idea that time was manipulated in such a manner.
A battle began to take place, and the students, having run through this particular warzone before, now had a much easier time of it. But before things could really heat up...the Hunter Trainees got an new command, via text, and were transported out of the area for what was revealed to be an ambush on the other students who were taken through through the door of Space.
The benefits of going back and changing the past can be high, as are the risks. In this version of events, it was not Caelius to meet the Soul Harvester on the field as she was freed, but Dr. H and his assistant. Rather than meet her head on, power for power, the doctor took advantage of a moment of weakness to behead her, in the hopes that their portable containment unit could hold the Harvest long enough to fully contain her. But their are certain creatures in any world that should not be bound, and instead of holding her, it fully destroyed her instead.
Alone on the field against a mob of nightmare creatures, Dr. H and Clarice summoned the help of Moon Squad 12 to hold off the assault until Caelius returned with the trainees. Separately, the squad members are nothing too difficult, but their defensive coordination has created a difficult wall for those trying to fight their way into the tent. Others have sought to use stealth to sneak in the back way, but only a handful have made it through without attracting the doctor or his assistant's rather painful attentions.
A bright light burst from the tent and filled the field, giving students a renewed and energetic feeling. As students breathe a sigh of relief and wonder what exactly just happened, a creeping invasion of grey begins recolouring the field.
Is it really safe out here? The Boss Rush: round 1: As it turns out, they really didn't have to worry about the countdown in the tent, and the creeping grey quickly became covered in rainbows and sparkles and students wearing princess dresses. The tent and hunter equipment were destroyed, leaving all of the students together on the field to face their next great obstacle together. A giant wizardly boo appeared on the field to make a wizardly attack but was quickly defeated by power of Fashion Rage and Puppies in Dresses. round 2: A monkey with a barrel proved slightly less fun than a barrel full of monkeys. Excited by all the [princesses on the field, it was soon raining kegs. Fortunately the princesses were able to knock him off the roof. In the end, twas beauty that killed the beast.Glitter once again covers the field and another mysterious beam of FEAR-light shot back into the house. round 3: The smell of baked goods filled the air, and when the house was done baking, it covered the students with delicious spookies and attracted the attentions of spookies' natural predator: the Spookie Ghost. A delicious battle took place, and then the students all frolicked naked through the field and/or snacked. The sound of millions of pieces of glass breaking comes from the house in the distance. round 4: A frolicking ceased as sharp Rain of Pain (and broken mirrors) shot out of the out and into the students! Next appeared a Couch. It just wanted friends, but it's timing was bad as by now the student were pumped with adrenaline and the need to kill just about everything associated with the house. It doesn't help that they have been without adult supervision for quite sometime, and thus are only two steps from re-enacting the Halloween version of Lord of the Flies. It's been quiet for a little while, has the end really come? Sounds from the house indicate: no.AOE DAMAGE IN EACH ROUND (If you were here prior to each round, your character would have been hit by the corresponding and following field attacks, be sure to adjust your HP accordingly.) Round One: Everyone on the gauntlet field was hit for 2 Rainbow Damage! Everyone in the tent was only hit for 1 Rainbow Damage due to Tently Gaurd! Everyone was hit for 2 Wizardly Damage! Round Two: Everyone was hit for 1 Tragic Gravity Damage! Round Three: Everyone has received 2 Oven Baked Goodness Damage! Round Four: Roll 1 d6! This is the amount of your student as been hit though Self Reflection Damage! If you were here for round four and either didn't not attack the couch or MISSED your attack, you get +2 Farewell Comfortable Friend Healing! The swishing and gargling ceases. And then...errupting from the house is...minty fresh water. Yes, sadly for the students nursing a quiet hope for a naked bacchanal to cap off the field trip, the house is a tea-totaler with a deep concern for personal hygiene. When the flood finally ceased, most of the students found themselves chest deep in minty fresh fun. And within their midst arose a creature both great and terrible in it's size and appetite, a creature that opened it's giant gaping mouth and swallowed up Invictus before sinking down again. We're gonna need a bigger boat.BOSS HP:100/100GAUNTLET: BOSS RUSH Everyone has been hit for -3 Minty Fresh Damage! Invictus is eaten! But may still attack from within! RULES: - tent peeps...you no longer have a tent, back to the Field for you! - Please note, if your student is just now entering the field, they were in time to witness this scene. - You MAY use Pumpkin Pills for this gauntlet run. - If your HP hits 0, you will dissipate regardless of the situation and will respawn in the Dinmension of Couch. - You can post more than the requirements, but please keep them minimized as to not overwhelm the GMs. - Pins are still a little wonky, thanks to the FEAR energy from the Soul Harvester's Final Death: you are free to rp out your students Natural form or regular student form (but the rolls and results are still the same). - BOOS: YOU HAVE THE SAME OPTIONS AS THE STUDENTS. HP: List your HP pool and keep track of it. IF YOUR HP IS ZERO YOU ARE DISSIPATED, MAKE SURE YOU CALCULATE YOUR HP ACCORDINGLY FROM LAST ROUND. Savior lifted her head up and looked, her ears having picked up a new sound that she'd never heard before. She moved to stand (standing on Ren), and her gaze set itself towards the house. "Do youse hears. Wut that." It was such a weird sound and the monster bristled somewhat, mostly with curiosity but also with a bit of unease.
She'd seen a cookie monster, a glass couch, a giant monkey, and then that weird boo-thing. What would be coming next? Would everyone be able to survive it, they were all bleeding so badly. Well, Savior wasn't bleeding so badly but the other ghoul near her ways and she smelled a bit.
However as soon as a giant fish came rolling out, Savior had her question answered. "Oh mys." As the water rushed over, then returned, she felt clean but her wounds started to ache.

Normally Savior wouldn't have even bothered with a giant fish, but she was a bit shaken to see a student near her suddenly disappear. He'd been there only moments before and now after the water was gone, he was gone too! The Marrowstripe didn't even know him but hey, that wasn't fair for him to go away!
Movnig towards the new arrival, the Marrowstripe gave off a punch that impacted, her anger obvious. "Don't hurt thems!"

Obviously the peace and quiet lasting was something that was too good to be true he decided once a fifth creature appeared; striking them all before it swallowed Invictus whole and submerged again. Though not before he tore into its flesh with his teeth.
This creature was definitely stronger than the last four and to make matters worse, that reaper boil Roch had dissipated; vanishing from the field completely. Some of the other students were also looking worse for wear as well. How long could they continue with this?
"s**t... At this rate they're just going to continue attacking us until we all dissipate..." He growled, wincing a little from the pain the creature had dealt them all and while doggy paddling to stay afloat.
This sucked...

Freya lifted her head, pressing it against Herryk's hand, and frowned. It seemed she had something on her mind, and it made her expression deepen in a serious thought. Her lips parted, just as they were washed away by the minty fresh water.
Nap time was over.
Freya was soaking wet, soggy, and what little she had left of an outfit was suddenly starting to feel really disgusting.
But more importantly, she had been really comfortable, surrounded by warm animals and curled up on Herryk's chest. For the first time since this trip had began, she had obtained some inkling of happiness - just to have it washed away.
Freya was PISSED.
The valkyrie swam directly for the culprit, attacking it with everything she had in her.

And then there was water everywhere. The half beast had never swam in natural form but... found it rather easy to float along that way. Bul was about to rear into battle once more when Invi got swallowed by the giant fish.
s**t! he thought with an wordless growl.

Mitsu's ears had twitched hearing the gargling and swishing coming from the house. It left her feeling a little on edge wondering what was going to be next. Standing to her feet once more she tried to prepare herself. What would it be first? Costume change? Rainbow Blast? The answer was neither of those as she soon found herself standing chest deep in minty water. Mitsu was a strong swimmer but....what?
Whatever was in the water seemed to sting at the cuts she had already sustained. The groups that had been cuddling on the ground had no doubt been covered. "Shun?" She asked looking back to find the reaper's location and make sure he was okay. Mitsu was trying to ignore how she was feeling at the moment. Even though it was just water she was starting to feel rather...ill. Maybe it was the over powering scent of mint or perhaps it was all the damage she had taken thus far. Either way she was teetering as she looked back only to witness the demon pony getting swallowed. Worse yet that last attack though minor had been enough to do some of the students in. Mitsu watched in horror as her classmates dissipated to who knows where.
.....
That...was a jacking huge fish. If it had swallowed one of them it was no doubt dangerous though so Mitsu waded her way toward it to bite or claw in an attack

It seemed that the Horseman was to be censored in his suspicions, looking towards the fish that descended upon him with a sort of casualness to his posture even as he was devoured.
Perhaps it was simply because even from within the creature, which was not the most pleasant of all things with the slime and..other various things, he gripped his fist and brought the gravity down upon both himself and the fish that had ingested him.
Though chances were it was going to hurt him as well.

LW had managed to find herself on the opposite side of where all her friends (and boilfriend) were. She sighed, feeling exhaustion slowly start to creep in and all the little aches and pains start to wear on her. Looking around, she wondered who all she was closer to now. However any attempt she might have made in walking over to someone, or back over to the group opposite her was forgotten by first the noises coming from the house. And then their was an erruption...and LW found herself doggy paddling in water while trying not to choke. Oh for Jack's sake! Grumbling (and choking), LW finally shifted back to her humanoid form since swimming as a canine while battling was just...not gonna happen.
Wiping water from her face, LW took in a deep breath and dove under the water to try and get a good hit - or kick - to the rather large fish. Thing. OhdearJack. It was a big fish!
