"I've missed you too..surprisingly." she added, giving his shoulder a shove. Biting her lower lip she thought about his words for a moment, reminded once again of how unsuited they were to be friends...much less close friends.
"I don't get why you just trust this person to know whats best for you. What if he decided he didn't like me and made me leave...forbade you to ever see me again. Would you have listened?" Cara asked, then shook her head.
"Never mind, don't answer that...sorry. That's your business not mine." she apologized sincerely. The anger that lite her eyes fading until only the pale green in them stared back at the demon. She had always had this similar fight with him...it never did any good. The whole think for yourself thing that was so natural to her just didn't work for him apparently.

Gabriel studied her intently, then let his gaze drop to the bed.
"I would talk to him about it first, try to get him so see things from my angle." he said softly. "That's what a good good relationship revolves around. Communication. The slave should always talk about his feelings if they're strong enough, and a good Master always listens. My Master is a good Master. I trust him never to ask that sort of thing from me. I don't have many friends. I trust that he would allow me to be around you regardless of how he felt about you."

"I said don't answer that..it's alright. You don't have to try and explain it to me. Not my life remember?" she asked, though in truth his explanation was interesting, and made her slightly more curious, but she hated when people pried into her life, hence she like to give others the same courtesy.

"Helping Seth and Julian find out more stuff on the people that are after my Master's girlfriend." he said, looking rather proud of himself. "Not that I was much help. I mostly found out stuff we already knew. But that was why Master was angry with me."

"Your master has a girlfriend?!" Cara burst out, laughter obvious in her voice. Horrified she covered her mouth with her hands before giving in and bursting into laughter.
"I am sorry...that was mean, but I just can't picture it. not that I know him very well or anything, but that dominating, obviously arrogant male has a serious girlfriend?"

Gabriel stared at her, a slightly horrified look on his face. He cast a quick glance at the door, as if his Master would come in and strike her down for such talk.
"Shh!" he said, looking back at her. "He has really really good hearing. And yes..she's pretty much his girlfriend, though I doubt he's calling her that yet." He lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "I think they're cute together, personally."

"Right...kay." she answered softly, still struggling to contain her laughter. Remembering something, Cara perked up and her smile flashed once more as she looked at Gabriel.
"I just remembered! I brought you something." she said, not bothering to keep the excitement from her voice. Rising she went over to her traveling cloak and dug into one of the deep pockets. Hiding the item behind her back, she bit worriedly at her lip hoping he wouldn't think it was too girly.
"I remember how much you admired mine, so...I made you one." she held out her hands as she spoke. In them was a carefully crafted collar, woven and laced together with fine, thin strips of black leather, and interlaced with the silver thread that only elves seemed capable of producing.. The symbols were elven, as they were on her collar, though hers was made without the leather.
"I know it's a little different from mine, but I thought this would suit you a little bit better."

Gabriel eyed the collar, his face lighting up with joy.
"It's perfect!" he exclaimed, taking the collar and putting it on. "I love it. Thank you so much, Cara." He jumped up, pulling her into a tight hug, then bounced over to the mirror on the wall to admire it.

Laughing once more, Cara shook her head, reached up to run her finger through her hair.
"You are very welcome." she answered returning his hug. That was one thing she did love about the demon, he was the easiest person to please. He appreciated even the smallest simplest things that anyone did for them. It almost seemed like he didn't expect anyone to do anything nice for him.

Ivy set Jigsaw on his feet, then smiled.
"So you are." she said. And oh what mischief we will get into, she thought to herself, eying the Jester. Going over to Lucid, she bowed her head. "Thank you, Master, for letting him stay." she said quietly. "What of his friend, and the other vampiress?" She motioned to where Kyatora stood. "Are they going to be given refuge here as well?"

Reaching out to Ivy, Lucid pulled her into the shelter of his body, holding her very close as he surveyed the others she'd motioned to. Inwardly, he heaved a weary sigh. More people might mean more problems being dumped upon his plate later. It seemed that people were flocking from everywhere to stay in this Haven.
"Yes, my Pet. They shall be offered refuge here as well, for as long as they wish it." he said, putting a cool neutrality into his tone. He bent his head, pressing a chaste kiss to her lips before letting go of her. He then gave her a gentle push in Jigsaws direction. "Go on then, you must find them all rooms and such."

"So, my lady. am I to have a room of my own, or, since I am your personal 'Plaything' 'giggle', will I be rooming with you?" If the mask had eyebrows, one would almost think they were being raised in mirth. Jigsaw liked being 'owned', as it were. It afforded him a bit more freedom for his signature brand of mischief, than normally would be allowed. Indeed, he thought, much fun is to be had. And with this wonderful demoness as his 'accomplice', nothing will stand in their way. "Muahahahahah... wait, am I laughing out loud? What a peculiar saying. Oh well. Where were we, Lady Ivy?"

Kyatora was somewhat surprised at the fact she was being allowed to stay at the castle without any sort of questions asked. Not knowing when she would ever see this being again, she steps forward somewhat carefully. Giving the man a deep, respectful bow. Slowly rising as she says, " Thank you very much for your accommodations here sir. " Her voice calm and full of respect as she speaks to him, hoping at the same time she wasn't doing anything out of line by speaking when she hadn't been told she was allowed to.

Ah, thank you.. I believe. I shouldn't be here too long.. Chuckling, he shakes his head. How rude of me, I apologize. I am Ryth Wylder, traveling scholar. I stumbled here accidentally after chasing down an odd either signature. I'll probably stay just long enough to study this world.. unless you have any use for a scholar.
