I think they intentionally leave it that dark so you walk off of ledges. Especially in the prison.
Also, if Kraun reads this, I beat that gigantic ball of magic missile and wiggly tentacle things. Seems like if you keep your shield up, you can give it a strong attack and either leap away or have your shield take most or all of the blow.
I kept getting my guard broken, but it knocked me back so I didn't take any damage. You get something like 1,000 souls from it.

This game sounds intriguing.
But not intriguing enough for me to buy a PS3 when I have no gaming internet.

Well, I raised the brightness setting just so I could see what was in front of me. Now I can't see because of the bloom.

There are only THREE reasons why I would buy a PS3.
1: Metal Gear Solid 4
2: Uncharted 2
3: God of War 3
Actually four reasons, if you also count a bout of temporary insanity.

Yes. Because the prison is pretty much pitch black until you get close enough that your shiny flashlight thing or whatever on your belt shows you its a sheer cliff.
And yeah, that corpseball thing gives around 1000 souls. Theres a second one in the swamps of 3-2 that gives around 1500. I just stood behind a pillar and went peek-a-boo and shot it with my bow until it died. I dont even want to go near that thing.
If 3-1 tricks you into running off ledges, most of 3-2 is just giant walkways in the sky with no railing. I'm pretty sure I walked or jogged that entire level. Dont want to be running or doing running attacks and accidentally slip off the edge.
Also, I thought the thing with adjusting brightness in the beginning tells you to make the dragon invisible, and the shield visible.

it's late, and i was messing with you.
i tried playing with hanzo. he's cool, but the computer doesn't like me trying to grab them, so i switch to his sprite counterpart and just sic poppy on everybody while cutting their stupid feet off.
but kazuki know he my boi.

I usually don't go for the throw with Hanzo. I stick to the whole disappearing stuff and the fireball, sometimes throw the shuriken too.
Only pick Slash, though.
